Skoda Yeti 1st generation (2009-2013).

In 2009, the Russian car market was replenished new model from the Czech brand - Skoda Yeti. Newest SUV, easily overcoming snow drifts, autumn slush and spring off-road terrain, has become popular with our motorists.

The small external dimensions of the Skoda Yeti ensured high maneuverability and easy handling. The car has 5 seats and enough space to comfortably accommodate passengers. It is designed in such a way that passengers have the impression of being particularly protected. The high seating position of the Yeti makes it possible to increase the view.

The body type of the Skoda Yeti SUV is SUV.

Vehicle length is 4223 mm, width - 1793 mm, height - 1691 mm.

Wheelbase occupies about 2578 mm, and the front and rear wheel track is 1541 and 1537 mm, respectively.

Clearance Skoda Yeti is 180 mm. The Skoda Yeti's ground clearance is large enough to provide excellent cross-country ability on the roads.

The design deserves special attention luggage compartment a car that has a volume of 402 to 1750 liters and makes it possible to accommodate a large amount of luggage. The SUV has 5 doors.

The Yeti is equipped with 2 gasoline engines.

The Skoda Yeti 1st generation car was equipped with two options gasoline engines: 1.2 TSI -105 HP with. and 1.8 TSI -152 liters. with. Both are four-cylinder, turbocharged. The fuel was distributed among the cylinders using two camshafts... The first engine option is for the Skoda Yeti with front-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive The Skoda Yeti provides a second option. Both engines were characterized by reasonably low fuel consumption and met the stringent European environmental standards for limiting CO2 emissions Euro V. These engines were installed transversely in the front of the car. The first version of the engine makes it possible to accelerate the car up to 175 km / h, the second - up to 196 km / h.

Fuel consumption

In the first generation Skoda Yeti, fuel consumption ranges from 5 to 8 liters per 100 km. In the city, a car consumes about 7-10 liters, and outside the city - from 5 to 7 liters. Maximum volume fuel tank is 60 liters.

The all-wheel drive Skoda Yeti is equipped with a fourth-generation Haldex intelligent clutch. This ensures that the torque is evenly distributed between the axles. Such a system improves traction properties vehicle and significantly reduces fuel consumption. Skoda Yeti has excellent grip on any road surface thanks to the modified rear axle with multi-link suspension and an extended track. In addition, this system provides greater stability in difficult off-road driving conditions. The underbody of the car has additional protection, which protects it from damage when driving off-road.

Checkpoint

Skoda Yeti can be equipped with both manual and automatic gearboxes. In the first case, it is a six-speed gearbox, characterized by smooth and precise shifting. Talking about automatic box, it is worth noting that some Skoda Yeti models are equipped with seven-speed gearboxes with the possibility of automatic or manual gear selection.

OFF ROAD mode

The vehicle is also equipped with an OFF ROAD mode that allows you to change settings electronic systems controls for immediate driving conditions on the ground.

To put it simply, with a steep slope, both in reverse and forward, the car can move off at an optimal speed without your help. To do this, just press the Off Road button on the panel and slightly steer. At the same time, the legs must be removed from the pedals, and the transmission must be transferred to neutral, the automation will do everything itself. However, you are left with the opportunity, if you wish, to additionally slow down or accelerate. Moreover, if you have a manual transmission, during acceleration, you do not need to squeeze the clutch pedal or set the gear.

Restyling Skoda Yeti (2013-present)

Skoda Yeti after undergoing restyling (2013-present)

Both the interior and exterior design and the car's engines have undergone changes.

Exterior Skoda Yeti

Before the car acquired the brand features of the updated line of Skoda models. The headlights have acquired sharp edges and an aggressive look.

The radiator grille has become more sporty with a badge that has moved to its recess in the middle.

The fog lights changed from a round design to a rectangular one, and settled down below.

If you look closely at the rear of the SUV, you will notice diagonal stripes on the fifth door, in the middle of which there is a number. This is also a new common feature of all Skoda models.

The rest of the exterior design remains the same.

The interior of the restyled version of the Skoda Yeti

Small, but still "metamorphoses" took place in the interior of the crossover.

So wheel from a four-spoke with a bucket became a three-spoke.

The gear lever has also changed - from a square "airplane" one, it has become an ordinary one - oval.

Innovations in crossover functionality

In the post-styling model, previously unavailable functions appeared, such as:

  • parking assistant
  • Rear View Camera
  • instead of a keyhole for the ignition key, an engine start button appeared
  • keyless access to the salon

Changes in engines and gearboxes

After the restyling of the Skoda Yeti, the engine line has changed: the 1.2-liter engine has left, and two new ones have replaced it (1.4 liters - 125 liters. From. And 1.6 liters - 110 liters. From.).

As for gearboxes, then gasoline engines are still equipped with both mechanics and DSG robots.

Skoda Yeti ground clearance or clearance as for any other passenger car is an important factor on our roads. It is the condition of the road surface or its complete absence that makes Russian motorists interested in the Skoda Yeti's clearance and the possibility of increasing ground clearance using spacers or reinforced springs.

For a start, it's worth honestly saying that real ground clearance Skoda Yeti may seriously differ from that declared by the manufacturer. The whole secret is in the method of measurement and the place of measurement of the ground clearance. So find out real situation affairs can only be done by yourself armed with a tape measure or a ruler. Official ground clearance of the Skoda Yeti is equal to 180 mm, both on front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions of the crossover.

Some manufacturers go for the trick and declare the size of the ground clearance in an "empty" car, but in real life we have a full trunk of all sorts of things, passengers and the driver. That is, in a loaded car, the clearance will be completely different. Another factor that few people have in mind is the age of the car and the wear and tear of the springs, their "subsidence" from old age. The issue is solved by installing new springs or buying spacers under sagging springs Skoda Yeti... The spacers allow you to compensate for the drop of the springs and add a couple of centimeters of ground clearance. Sometimes even a centimeter in the parking lot at the curb plays an important role.

But do not get carried away with the "lift" of the Skoda Yeti's ground clearance, because the spacers to increase the clearance are focused only on the springs. If you do not pay attention to the shock absorbers, the travel of which is often very limited, then self-modernization of the suspension can lead to loss of control and damage to the shock absorbers. In terms of cross-country ability, large ground clearance in our harsh conditions this is good, but at high speeds on the track and in corners, there is a serious buildup and additional body roll.

Real ground clearance of Skoda Yeti under the lowest point (motor protection) is naturally less than the manufacturer claims. Actually, this can be seen even with the naked eye. On an empty car, there is a little over 16 centimeters.

However, if you install 17 inch rims on high-profile rubber, you can get even under the protection of more than 170 mm real lumen... Photo further.

When designing a suspension and choosing the amount of ground clearance, any car manufacturer is looking for a middle ground between handling and cross-country ability. Perhaps the easiest, safest and most unpretentious way to increase clearance is to install wheels with “high” tires. Changing wheels makes it easy to increase the ground clearance by another centimeter.

After the sale of the second generation of the Yeti started in February 2014 in Russia, an increasing number of motorists began to be interested in the technical characteristics of the Skoda Yeti. The world first met this Czech car in 2009. At that time, the compact crossover class was just starting to gain popularity.

Today, technically advanced components and assemblies from Volkswagen are hidden under the extraordinary appearance of the car.

Main technical parameters of Skoda Yeti

Due to the fact that Eti is based on the promising Volkswagen PQ35 platform, the technical characteristics of the car are close to one of the most famous crossovers - Volkswagen tiguan... With the introduction of the Yeti, Škoda was able to timely enter a new segment of the sub-compact crossover market.

Dimensions and design features

In 2014, radical improvements were made to the Skoda Yeti: the characteristics of the car became much better and more attractive to the buyer. Of the external changes, it is worth noting the appearance of new bumpers, a radiator grill, headlights and a badge on the hood. The rear has been updated with new C-shaped LED lights.

Geometric indicators of the car:

  • width - 1 793 mm;
  • body length - 4,223 mm;
  • auto height - 1 691 mm;
  • ground clearance (clearance) - 180 mm;
  • wheelbase distance - 2,578 mm;
  • tank capacity - 60 liters;
  • total weight - 1,920 kilograms;
  • curb weight - 1,375 kilograms;
  • luggage compartment - 405-1760 liters.

Equipped with a Skoda Yeti front MacPherson strut suspension with wishbones and a stabilizer lateral stability... Multi-link design is inherent rear suspension... The distribution of the torque in the four-wheel drive versions is carried out by means of the fifth generation Haldex clutch.

The 2014 Yeti has an automatic parking assistant that independently parks a car parallel or perpendicular to the lane. The innovative technology calculates the starting point for the maneuver and the suitable trajectory. It also initiates emergency braking in the event of a collision hazard.

The presence of KESSY keyless access technology will allow the driver to open and close the car without a key, start the engine by pressing a button. Safety on the new crossover guarantees anti-lock braking system(ABS), Stability Control (ESC) Technology, MSR System - Motor Torque Control, traction control(ASR) and electro differential lock (EDS).

Despite the fact that the Yeti also has such useful systems as an assistant when starting up and downhill and a mechanism for detecting driver fatigue, it is equipped with a car and means passive safety... These are nine airbags, three-point belts, special head restraints (minimum possible injuries to the cervical vertebrae), Isofix fasteners for child seats.

Engine types

Line of traction units updated crossover The Yeti is represented by 7 engines - three gasoline (TSI) and four diesel (TDI). All engines are turbocharged. The record for the most impressive torque and, at the same time, low flow fuel belongs diesel engine 2.0 TDI with a power rating of 140 horses.

Types of power units:

  • 1.2 L with a power rating of 105 HP The torque value is 175 Nm. Acceleration of a car to 100 km / h takes 11.8 seconds. Fuel consumption is 7.6 liters on city roads and 6 on the highway. It is aggregated by a proprietary DSG robot with double clutch or six-speed mechanics;
  • 1.4 L with a power rating of 122 HP The torque value is 200 Nm. Confident dynamics: 10.5 sec. up to 100 kilometers. Acceptable fuel consumption - 8.9 liters in an urban environment and 6 on the highway. Gearbox set: mechanic or robot;
  • 1.8 L with a power rating of 152 hp The torque data corresponds to 250 Nm. This is already a serious unit with all-wheel drive and laudable dynamics: 8.7 seconds. up to "hundreds". Transmission kit: robot / mechanic. Fuel consumption on the highway - 6.9 liters, in the city - 10.1 liters;
  • 2.0 l diesel with a power rating of 140 hp The torque value is 320 Nm. This engine went to Skoda from Tiguan. Acceleration - 10.2 seconds. Fuel consumption - 7.6 (within the city) / 5.8 (highway). Complete with all-wheel drive. There is no choice of checkpoint - only the robot works.

The Skoda Yeti transmission has a mechanical or robotic box different versions. The transmission device directly depends on the engine model. For example, the 1.2 TSI engine assumes a combination with manual transmission-6 or DSG-7 mechanics - a robotic machine. The 1.4 TSI engine is completed only with the DSG-7 robot. These versions are equipped exclusively with front-wheel drive.

Depending on the engine that the Skoda Eti is equipped with, the fuel consumption will be different:

  • 1.2 TSI engine - consumption 6.4 l;
  • 1.4 TSI engine - consumes 6.8 liters;
  • 1.8 TSI engine - consumes 8.0 liters;
  • 2.0 TDI engine - 6.5 liters.

All-wheel drive system operation

Top versions of the Yeti have four-wheel drive. The principle of operation and implementation mechanisms were transferred from Tiguan. The driver does not choose the drive wheels, the electronics do it for him. Thanks to the latest generation Haldex coupling, the main reverse gear always on, which implies the transfer of a small - 5 percent torque directly to the rear axle.

The four-wheel drive of the car is always promptly connected during acceleration, braking or skidding. This is achieved due to the fact that the all-wheel drive computer unit is connected to the vehicle's CAN bus, which receives the main indicators from all sensors.

During intensive acceleration, when the accelerator pedal is pressed, the drive control unit locks the clutch without waiting for the slip response. Another advantage of such a system is the absence of the need for unlocking when the ESP is functioning. The reliability of the clutch is supported by the fact that it receives and transmits a sufficiently high torque.

Configuration and cost

Sales of Skoda Yeti began in February 2014: the characteristics of the new car were to the liking of Russian buyers. There is a decent list of original accessories on the market to add personality and convenience to your car. Among others, there are a couple of exterior packages, many variations wheel rims and rugs.

In terms of configurations, the technical characteristics of the Skoda Eti are as follows:

  • Active - price range 739,000 - 939,000 rubles. It assumes the presence of all types of engines and transmissions except for the diesel version. Options: halogen headlights, ABS, ESP, air conditioning, heated seats / washer nozzles windshield, immobilizer, front windows, central locking system with remote control, audio system with 8 speakers, rear disc brakes, steel 16-radius discs;

  • Sochi is a complete set specially for the Russian market. The price range is 859,000 - 1,099,000 rubles. The complete set can be represented by any version, except for diesel models and a 1.8 liter manual transmission. New options: Olympic decals, tire pressure indicator, multifunction steering wheel, cooled glove compartment, luggage space lighting, heated windshield, rear parking sensors, textile mats, alarm.

Skoda Yeti is a practical and mobile crossover. From kinship with Volkswagen models, the car inherited excellent performance... It is dynamic and has one of the best plug-in all-wheel drive units. In addition, the car is also attractive in price. By fuel consumption this compact crossover located at the level of the city hatchback.

For any automaker, the restyling procedure is not so much upgrading a car to warm up consumer interest in it, as working on mistakes. Especially over those that brand fans constantly complain about. As a rule, we are talking about various design, technological, economic, marketing and design mistakes. Apparently, the Czech company Skoda decided that their Yeti crossover was already perfect, so the head optics was the only mistake actually corrected during the restyling, minor innovations do not count. Well, they have a right. Read all the details about the "updated" Yeti in our review!

Design

It's no secret that the main limiting factor for the sales of the first Yeti was a non-trivial appearance... Skoda fans who are not ready for experiments, who are accustomed to the conservative Czech style, did not like the Bigfoot at all: it looked too cartoonish and frivolous against the background of other models of the brand. On the other hand, the public liked it more open to new ideas, but there was not enough such an audience for successful sales.

In connection with the failures of the first generation car, the Czechs thought about it and decided to redraw the main controversial element of the Yeti - the head lighting equipment. And at the same time, they took up the revision of the bumpers, the radiator grille and, for the sake of symmetry, rear lights... As a result, "Bigfoot" frowned and became more strict, solid and ... a little boring. The only thing that has completely retained its originality in its appearance is the visual division of the body into the driver's and the passenger's parts. Evil tongues argue that Yeti is for retirees and people burdened with all the hardships of family life, but it is difficult to agree with this, given the decent dynamics and many "smart" solutions that progressive motorists value so much. Yeti - for those who know a lot about solid and practical cars.

Design

The crossover is built on the basis of a larger old Skoda Octavia: from her he borrowed a "bogie" with a McPherson front suspension and a rear multi-link, as well as supercharged engines and an all-wheel drive system with a Haldex clutch. True, unlike the pre-reform version, equipped with a 4th generation electro-hydraulic clutch, the restyled version received a 5th generation mechanism, which is lighter and faster. The new clutch works with constant preload and transfers 4 percent of thrust to the rear axle, even in standard conditions, but it is not completely blocked and in the absence of traction at the front wheels can send back no more than 90 percent of the moment.

Adaptation to Russian conditions

Considering that the Yeti, like the others Skoda cars, primarily positioned as a family car, it is not surprising that its off-road capabilities are limited, even in the case of an all-wheel drive modification. Still, its 180-mm ground clearance and good geometry of short bumpers are not enough to conquer the Russian off-road. But for the city and the suburban primer - a completely different matter. For the harsh Russian winter, Bigfoot has heated front seats, side mirrors and windshield washer nozzles. An electric heated windshield and a parking heater are available for a surcharge, as well as two-zone climate control Climatronic (in the "base" - an ordinary air conditioner).

Comfort

In the cabin, the changes are minimal: like the restyled Skoda Superb, there are new steering wheel and DSG gearshift lever, and that's it. In general, this is good, because the Yeti salon can be considered an example of ergonomics and comfort anyway. The seats on the 1st row have a neutral shape and profile, due to which they are comfortable for riders of any size. For comfort, high growth will not be an obstacle, since the chairs have a wide range of adjustments, and steering column adjustable both in height and in reach. The 2nd row is not very spacious, but this is more than compensated by the incredible functionality rear seats... The sofa is divided into 3 parts, each of which moves, tilts, folds or is completely dismantled. It is noteworthy that such a solution is usually used in minivans, but not in compact crossovers.

Skoda has definitely learned attention to detail from the parent carmaker Volkswagen: drawers, hooks, shelves, slats, cup holders, pockets, straps and fasteners eloquently testify to this. Even the buckles of the seat belts have special clips. The Yeti's luggage compartment is not the most spacious in the class, but it is well-organized. When the rear sofa is folded, its volume increases from 405 liters. up to an impressive 1580 hp A full-size spare wheel is traditionally kept in the boot underground. In addition, after the restyling, a flashlight appeared in the cargo compartment - another "smart" solution from Skoda.

In crash tests of the European independent organization Euro NCAP Yeti earned 5 stars out of 5, demonstrating excellent results: driver or adult protection - 92%, child-passenger protection - 78%, pedestrian protection - 46%, safety devices - 71%. The standard equipment, which is far from poor, helped to get good marks, which includes frontal airbags, an Era-Glonass panic button, an anti-lock brake system(ABS) and Stability Program (ESP). More expensive trim levels include side airbags, curtains, cruise control and an uphill start assistant. For a surcharge, you can purchase a rear view camera, parking sensors, driver fatigue sensor, knee airbag, as well as an anti-theft alarm with volume, roll sensors and an autonomous siren.

The car's entertainment systems have not undergone any changes. The base Yeti has a simple radio preparation with an antenna and 4 speakers, and the top one has a two-din radio with 8 speakers, an SD card slot, Bluetooth wireless protocol and AUX / USB connectors for connection mobile devices... For a full-fledged multimedia complex Amundsen with navigation, you will have to pay extra. And at head unit and Amundsen's sound is quite acceptable. Optional "multimedia" pleases with quick response and image quality. In addition to it, the Swing and Bolero audio systems are also available.

Skoda Yeti Specifications

Yeti has three engines today, and all gasoline. The base 1.6-liter MPI engine with multipoint injection develops 110 hp. and 155 Nm, combined with a five-speed "mechanics" or with a six-speed automatic transmission. Intermediate version - 125 hp TSI motor volume of 1.4 liters. (200 Nm), which is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, or with a 7-speed "robot" DSG, and the top version is a 1.8-liter TSI engine with a return of 152 hp. (250 Nm). The latter is in tandem with a six-speed DSG transmission and, unlike the others, is combined with all-wheel drive. According to the manufacturer, the average fuel consumption is between 5.8 and 8 liters. per 100 km, depending on the modification. It should be borne in mind that the real "appetite" may be greater.

You can not name the Skoda Yeti exit on Russian market successful. The car appeared back in 2009, then its appearance went almost unnoticed: someone laughed at the design, and someone did not perceive the budget crossover for a high price. But in 2012 Bigfoot's business got better due to two reasons - a more serious design and a cheaper version with a 1.2 TSI engine and a robotic gearbox.

We invite all motorists to familiarize themselves with this model, and see what technical characteristics the car received. We will also test the car in action to find out how much the characteristics correspond to the description. The updated design will not be left without attention. Go!

General acquaintance

Yeti is a front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive crossover of the Czech company Skoda. The car was built on the basis of the fifth generation VW Golf hatchback. It has existed on the Russian market since 2009. The latest version of the car is delivered to Russia in three trim levels (Active - budget version, Ambition - medium, Elegance - top), for which 4 engines are available:

  • The first 1.2 TSI engine with 105 "horsepower" can be supplied in a budget or medium configuration. Together with it comes only a 6-speed manual gearbox... Its approximate fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is 6.4 liters;
  • The second unit was the 1.2 TSI with 105 hp. and a 7-speed DSG gearbox. This engine can be installed in any configuration. Its mixed fuel consumption per 100 km is 6.4 liters;
  • The third 1.4 TSI engine comes complete with a 7-speed DSG and has a power of 122 horse power, its fuel consumption per 100 km is 6.8 liters. Also available in all trim levels;
  • And the last variant is the 1.8 TSI with all-wheel drive, 6-speed DSG and 152 hp. available only in mid and top configurations. Its fuel consumption is 8 liters per 100 km.

Unfortunately, diesel does not reach Russia (2.0-liter engine with 140 hp). The premium version of Elegance differs from other trim levels only in the choice of engines and filling. Top versions, which have received all-wheel drive, can be equipped with a special system that helps off-road. They also include a downhill assistance system.

Since 2014, a new Yeti has appeared with a changed design and some innovations: the modification with the new name Outdoor does not differ much from the car that we described above, the changes only affected the design, new suspensions and additional engine protection appeared.

Drive

Having seen the technical characteristics of the car, you can also evaluate the main parameters in the Skoda Yeti. And also find out for whom the small-run Yeti will be interesting, and who should look at it, and who should not. There is a 1.2 TSI engine in the most different cars which belong to the Volkswagen concern. The company does not hesitate to install the unit on workhorses (for example, Volkswagen Caddy), and for B-class hatchbacks.

But in a crossover, he meets for the first time and therefore many drivers are interested in how he will cope with his task. After all, we know that small-run turbocharged engines have begun to be mastered by manufacturers in the framework of the struggle to reduce toxicity and obtain efficiency. But in reality, the effect is the opposite: in order for the car to "drive", the motor has to be unwound. And the consumption runs up no less if the unit of the usual volume was in the car. What happened in the case of the Skoda Yeti?

It turned out as usual: on one side of the engine, a single-drive car is enough to briskly ride around the city, effectively starting from a traffic light under the surprised looks of other drivers. 7-speed DSG box quickly mastered, and then, skillfully manipulating the gas medal, you can rush at high speed. In general, the Skoda Yeti is a pretty nimble car that has a low-power engine. The Czechs reaffirm that balance is the most important thing. In this example, we can observe how a car with a weak engine produces high performance.

According to the passport, acceleration to 100 kilometers takes 12 seconds. But this is on a straight road and from the spot. Feelings from the response and driving on the pedal differ from the passport data. But no miracle happened: fuel consumption with moderate driving on empty roads can easily keep the waste in the region of 8 liters per 100 kilometers. But it is worth standing in a traffic jam for a while, as the flow rate rises to 10 liters. If you give all your best and ride only during rush hour, then on on-board computer you can see the figure 12 l / 100 km. Therefore, you should not expect from the Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI in excess of efficiency. But the dynamics of this car is at the highest level.

The steering is also just a pleasure: it is informative and very transparent, the Skoda Yeti drives at the level of some hatchback. Only in corners it rolls a little more than a hatchback. On the track, the car holds the road with dignity, without shaking and unnecessary swaying. What's really strange about the Yeti is the suspension: it can be soft on sharp turns and stiff on bumps. It is not recommended to storm a speed bump at 40 km per hour - it will shake you heartily.

Dimensions and luggage compartment

Let's now take a look at the dimensions and ground clearance of the Yeti:

  • The ground clearance in this car is 180 millimeters. This clearance is considered average for crossovers;
  • Wheelbase dimensions - 2580 mm;
  • Length - 4220 mm;
  • Width - 1790 mm;
  • Height - 1690 mm;
  • The Skoda Yeti weighs 1345 kilograms.

Such dimensions indicate that the crossover is quite compact and lightweight, which significantly increases maneuverability.

Skoda Yeti got a great trunk. Despite the compact body, the trunk of this car has a volume of 405 liters. And this is only with the back row. It is impossible not to mention the possibilities of changing the rear row. Due to the transformation, the trunk becomes significantly larger. All three chairs can individually fold their backrests parallel to the floor. And if there is a desire, then they can generally be folded to the front row of seats, and thereby creating a huge additional trunk.

If we take into account the vertical lid with which the trunk is equipped, then a lot of cargo can be placed in the car. By the way, in Europe, this car was recently recognized as one of the most successful models for a family that prefers outdoor activities. And this is not surprising: a voluminous trunk where you can put a lot of useful things for travel, a relatively affordable waste of gas and top-level safety equipment. After reviewing all the technical specifications, we can take a general look at the interior and end our Skoda Yeti review.

A few words about design

In addition to unusual optics, the Skoda Yeti can be distinguished by such unusual details. appearance like the chopped line of the front end and the roof itself, this car even windshield got angular. The rear part of the body also cannot boast of a smooth transition of lines, the cover luggage compartment and is completely perpendicular to the ground - it resembles the shape of a car "heel". Nevertheless, the car looks stylish, the latest reystaling brought only positive results for the Skoda Yeti.

The Outdoor modification claims to be an SUV. But what signs of an SUV did she get? There is an unpainted underbody section that is not afraid of chips or scratches. Also, the black bumper adds a bit of wildness to the design. What turned out to be unfortunate were the protective front and rear bumpers, which perform the opposite task: any impact on something hard with such a "protection" will lead to a dent, while dark plastic would not care.

If we talk about the geometric cross-country ability in the Skoda Yeti, then it is quite modest indicators: 26 degrees at the rear and 19.4 at the front. If we compare with Nissan Qashqai, then our Bigfoot will be stronger than him in off-road capabilities. An important role is played by the clearance and dimensions of the car, which are suitable for conquering unknown places.

As for the Yeti salon, it is made at the highest level even for the most budget configuration- all necessary elements close at hand, system control keys are intuitively located. Safety systems ABS, ESP, EBD are present, which is very important. The driver will be able to sit behind the wheel with ease and growth under two meters - there is a lot of free space for both passengers and the driver. His seat is customizable in all respects, as is the steering wheel.

Outcomes

We have studied all the important aspects of this Skoda models... Of the main advantages of the Yeti, one can single out a huge trunk, an affordable waste of gasoline, dimensions, excellent dynamics and spacious salon... The car does not have high power, it is a calm and safe assistant for the family. High ground clearance allows you to drive on light off-road and not be afraid of curbs when parking. But this is the Yeti - a city car that loves to get out into nature.
