As a result, the maximum engine output increased to 102 hp. at 5750 rpm, and the peak torque rose to the level of 145 Nm, available at 3750 rpm. Like the younger engine, the flagship is aggregated only with a 5-speed "mechanics", with which it is capable of providing the hatchback with a starting spurt from 0 to 100 km / h in no more than 11.2 seconds, or reaching a maximum speed of 170 km / h. The flagship also looks more attractive in terms of fuel appetite - in the combined cycle it requires 7.2 liters per 100 km, which is slightly less than that of the junior power unit.

By the summer of 2015, it will be possible to choose a gearbox - between “mechanics” and a “robot” with a similar number of steps ... and by the end of the year, “automatic” will also be available (at 4-speed and only for the “top” engine).

Renault Sandero Stepway of the second generation is built on the basis of the "civilian hatchback" and, like it, has only front-wheel drive.
