New Nissan x-trail We have already tested the third generation, but it was a gasoline crossover in a rich configuration. And what is interesting diesel option with a 1.6 dCi nameplate and a six-speed "mechanics"?

I am already over thirty, I have a higher education, I like to travel and have an active rest in nature. To fit into the portrait of a typical customer crossover nissan X-Trail I just miss a couple of kids and ... the required amount in the bank account. However, everything has its time. Another thing is, will the new X-Trail suit me in character, will I get along with it? After all, a car is also a full-fledged member of the family!

We meet by clothes

It would seem, why does the crossover need a cute face, because its trump cards are different - spaciousness, practicality and cross-country ability, after all, it is not a sports car, to play with the muscles of the sidewalls and wink with LED headlights to catch the glances of others. Nevertheless, professional sellers claim that the first impulse from the buyer “to take or not to take”, like the first impression about a person, is formed in the first minutes, but what is there - seconds! - acquaintance with the car. Especially if there is an impressionable spouse nearby. Another thing is that when entering a Nissan salon and seeing the front view of Qashqai and X-Trail side by side, she may ask with bewilderment: "Why did they put up two identical cars?" Then you should take it by the handle, walk around both cars together and explain: “Look, dear, they are only similar in front, and in the back - two completely different cars!”.

They are brothers, but not twins. They are related by common genes and some elements of the interior and exterior. And the point is not only in the general, new corporate style, but also in saving on the same details, which, however, are not so many as it might seem. Despite the fact that the X-Trail looks very similar to the Qashqai, it is worth taking a closer look and you can see that the headlights, hood and bumpers are different. Similar but not identical.

Another thing is that in the cabin they are painfully similar, and in the invisible areas there are probably many common elements. Moreover, it is possible to gain money (and time!) In this way at all stages - from design, modeling, testing and to production, which guarantees substantial savings on an industrial scale. However, the manufacturer will not dump and the optimization of production processes should not be expected to reduce the cost of new generations of familiar models. But the proven technology will be more reliable (in theory), and if you have several new Nissan in your family, then changing from one to another you will not have to get used to. But this is already for the adherents of the brand, many of whom are still grumbled unhappily: they say, the previous X-Trail (with the factory designation T31) had its own masculine face and a unique angular style, and the new X-Trail, against the background of its predecessor, was like a cute girl or sleek metrosexual.

But it's worth looking at the X-Trail in profile, walking around and appreciating the stern ... no, this is no longer a Qashqai, but a much more serious car. Let them have a common platform, but the X-Trail is not only longer than its younger brother by 263 mm (length 4640 mm), but its base has grown by 59 mm - up to 2705 mm. At the withers, the X-Trail surpasses the Qashqai by 120 mm at once: the height is 1710 or 1715 mm, depending on whether the car is with or without rails. And the increase in external dimensions here directly testifies to the spaciousness of the inner world. Let's take a look inside?

Is the inner world rich?

The simple answer to this question lies in the bundle: how much you put in, you get so much. We tested one of the most options-rich versions, but we'll talk about the equipment later, and now - about the impressions.

The former X-Trail greeted the driver with a solid console that towered over a stone cliff, and was made mostly of hard plastic. Now, before the eyes and hands, the smooth curves of the front panel, soft plastic and lacquered black inserts, an elegant multifunctional steering wheel and rich multimedia capabilities Nissan system Connect 2.0. Between the wells of the tachometer and speedometer, with clearly traced numbers, there is a color screen on-board computer with nice and understandable graphics. In addition to the familiar functions for displaying mileage and fuel consumption, the distribution of torque between the axles and the response of blind spot monitoring systems are displayed here - conveniently!

As for ergonomics, my back and fifth point knew the chairs more comfortable, although on a long journey they showed no signs of displeasure. To find fault with insufficient lateral support would be too subjective on my part - I have a rather specific, almost vertical landing with a straight back. Another thing is that the range of adjustment of the steering wheel for departure may seem insufficient to many, but the steering wheel does not overlap the instruments.

I know that the owners of the X-Trail of the previous generation, sitting down in the new one, immediately began to miss the convenient heated or cooled cup holders (depending on the climate control settings) at the racks windshield- there was a stylish feature. "Climatic" cup holders moved to the lodgment between the front seats and retained the climate control function, which can be turned off with a specially provided slider. You can complain that you saved on automatic mode keys of passenger windows, and the fact that they are not highlighted on the driver's door card is made on purpose so that the driver does not get lost in the lights and in the dark can quickly find "his" key.

But at the back, I traditionally complain only about the lack of comfortable door handles for a natural grip, for which it is convenient to hold on to the road. The rest is space and comfort! The separate parts of the sofa move back and forth along the slide, the angle of the backrest is adjustable, the floor is almost flat under the feet, there is plenty of legroom, and above the head there is a sliding panoramic roof, albeit optional.

There is enough space for luggage, albeit not as much as before: the volume of the trunk varies from 497 to 1585 liters, and the transformation is even wider. In general, a trunk with an additional shelf that can be conveniently fixed on several levels, and a multi-section compartment in the underground have been a feature of the model since the first generation. A very convenient thing, if not for one "but": as today I remember the presentation of the second generation X-Trail and the rumble of an empty "pencil case" in the trunk during travels on a country road. Is the new X-Trail still on our roads?

On a walk

When running, the diesel is quiet and almost does not give itself out, even with an increase in revs, associations with agricultural machinery do not come to mind. Passenger diesel engines have been cultivated to such an extent that they are only given away by a truncated tachometer scale and a narrow (for now?) Torque range. I was just gnawed by doubts that the compact 1.6 dCi turbodiesel would not pull a large crossover weighing over two tons to a decent level of dynamics and ... I was wrong!

Let 130 hp the figure is not impressive, but the moment under the hood could be generated as much as 320 Nm, against two hundred for the two-liter gasoline version. And all these "Newton meters" are available already at 1750 rpm and it doesn't matter that after 3000 rpm the motor is "blown away" and you have to switch higher. This is not a complicated matter and even interesting: the gears change easily and pleasantly, the lever moves like clockwork and you can literally wield it with your fingertips. Apparently, the designers initially calculated the mechanism for delicate female hands, so that, God forbid, they would not damage the manicure.

The clutch drive is also caring, allowing you to easily move without touching the accelerator pedal, pulling the car in traffic jams simply by releasing the left pedal. In general, such "mechanics" are easy to make friends with even in heavy city traffic. And the high-torque turbodiesel allows you to confidently maneuver even in heavy traffic, keeps a stiff upper lip on the track and is content with low: my fuel consumption varied from 6 to 7 l / 100 km, depending on the degree of aggressiveness of working with the gas pedal.

Another interesting observation: I moved to the X-Trail along with fresh impressions from the new Kashkai and practically did not feel the difference not only in the workplace, but also in behavior. The new X-Trail feels almost as light and compact in motion as the Qashqai - nimble and agile. The larger base makes it more stable at high speeds and less susceptible to road bumps. If the Qashqai unpleasantly surprised me with the stiffness of the suspension (albeit in exchange for excellent handling), then the diesel X-Trail justifiably shook at railway crossings and dutifully swallowed larger holes, giving a driving pleasure comparable to the youngest. I only disliked his behavior on the paving stones in the government quarter, but only the "servants of the people" can move there comfortably in expensive air-suspension limousines.

On the test "X-Trail" I still found snow and decided to test its off-road capabilities off the banks of the Dnieper. A dirt path, a small track, soft snow cover, under which treacherous sand lurks. All this Nissan and I overcame effortlessly by automatically distributing torque between the axles. The only thing that my mechanical friend did not like was the diagonal suspension: in fact, the light short-travel suspension quickly surrendered, hanging the rear right wheel, which was helplessly spinning in the air. Will I leave? Roar-roar ... and "my" X-Trail reluctantly climbed a small mound. The crossover performed the same exercise with the transmission in 4X4 Lock mode from the first approach and after stopping at the top point. True, getting out of the car for a couple of shots, I opened the trunk, but the automatic closer did not want to slam it back: due to the lack of body rigidity, the door shifted slightly relative to the opening and closed only on the second attempt. Okay, it doesn't matter - let's go.

Carried away by shooting and experimenting with different transmission modes, I drove into a virgin land that seemed safe to me, but seemingly harmless snow covered the loose sand. It was getting dark. I did not have a paddle, and there were no rescuers passing by. It’s good that I didn’t have time to drive and kept my cool so as not to gas, digging even deeper. Raked out some snow and sand from under the wheels and began to swing to try to leave: first-back, first-back, first-back - and hurray, we escaped from the snow-sand captivity! I don’t know I would have got this number on a car with a variator, but it’s unlikely that I would have left there without assistance on front wheel drive... But the two-pedal diesel X-Trail is not sold with all-wheel drive!

Well, let's summarize?

Output

Is it worth overpaying about 10% for the X-Trail in comparison with the similarly equipped Qashqai? If you need more room for passengers and luggage, then definitely yes. If you know how to handle mechanical box programs and love to get out into nature - definitely worth it. After all, Qashqai cannot be ordered with diesel engine, four-wheel drive and "mechanics" (diesel for Kashkai is offered only with CVT variator and front-wheel drive), and it is this combination that allows the experienced driver to get the farthest off-road. And the main thing is to get out! And I would not dissuade beginners from "mechanics", considering how easily it allows you to change gears. At the very least, you should order a practice test from your nearest Nissan dealer to see for yourself.

And if you are going to get a new car in the near future, then you should not postpone: until the end of April, Nissan X-Trail can be bought with a solid discount of 47,000 UAH. That is, the base X-Trail 2.0 (144 hp) in the XE configuration will cost UAH 644,140. True, for a car with a variator you will have to pay a hundred thousand more (745 190 UAH), but in addition to the CVT, a solid set of equipment for the Comfort version will appear. And I consider such a complete set to be optimal. Judge for yourself, there will already be dual-zone climate control, fog lights, keyless entry system, parking sensors, rain and light sensors, electric trunk and folding mirrors, covered in leather steering wheel and gear lever, auto-dimming interior mirror and more advanced six-speaker audio system.

The first generation of the car

The X-Trail is one of the most successful cars Nissan has ever built. Developed in 2000, the model was produced unchanged for seven years. Initially, the designers conceived the car as a universal crossover capable of providing the necessary level of comfort and practicality not only in greenhouse urban conditions, but also when driving off-road.

Among the memorable design elements and equipment of the 1st generation Nissan X Trail can be distinguished by the driver's dashboard displaced to the center and the unique ALL MODE 4 × 4 transmission control system, which allows to fully implement the inherent in the car off-road qualities... Austere straight lines of the body, combined with powerful wheel arches, large headlights and an expressive radiator grill, gave the crossover the look of a real SUV. This car had such a strong personality that it was difficult to confuse it with someone else on the road. On secondary market the first X-Trail is sold in the range of 500-700 thousand rubles.

Second generation X-Trail

Considering the above, the developers in 2007, with the release of the 2nd generation, decided to carry out only a slight restyling of the X-Trail's appearance, which was expressed in a slight change in the shape of the headlights and lanterns. The car's interior has undergone a complete redesign: instrument cluster returned to its usual place, new seats with body support appeared, more expensive and high-quality materials were used in the decoration. The size of the car has grown significantly. These changes were made because Nissan added another custom vehicle to its line of crossovers, the Qashqai. And despite the absolute external contradiction, in terms of its characteristics and class, it became a direct competitor to the first X-Trail, which was not part of the company's plans. Therefore, it was decided to bring the updated X-Trail to a more expensive segment by increasing its dimensions and increasing the cost of interior decoration. In November 2009, this model was launched by a plant in St. Petersburg. Second-generation used cars can be bought for 650-850 thousand rubles.

Nissan Xstrail has a very practical and pleasant feature, it can keep the cabin cool for a long time after turning off the air conditioner on a hot sunny day. This is facilitated by special materials in the car glazing, which do not allow infrared and ultraviolet rays to pass through.

Restyling 2010

Another restyling was expected for the X-Trail in 2010. It concerned exclusively the exterior of the car: in front it affected the radiator grille, bumper and headlights, and taillights became LED. In this form, the model is still being produced. New car costs from 1,100,000 to 1,600,000 rubles, and used ones are offered from 900 thousand rubles.

Third generation dramatic transformations

In 2014, the developers presented a completely new design of the 3rd generation of the car, in the exterior of which nothing remained from the previous X-Trail. Nice and expensive cut, but you will have to win over the love of consumers again, old attachments will not work here. In showrooms, this model "starts" at 1,300,000 rubles, and modifications in rich equipment are estimated at almost two million.

Main characteristics

Exterior and interior design

The appearance of the restyled model of the 2nd generation Nissan X-Trail differs from its predecessors only in some smoothing of the "sharpest" corners - an obvious attempt by the developers to modernize the exterior and bring it closer to the standard ideas about crossovers. Although this also achieves the technical goal of reducing drag, which saves a lot of fuel at high speeds. Round headlight blocks "go" to the upper edge front bumper and the "V" -shaped emblem on the grille adds a unique charm to the car. At the back, bright lights with LED accessories are eye-catching. If you don't look closely, then a 2007 car can easily be confused with a 2010 model, and vice versa.

The interior and internal layout of the X-Trail fully meet the off-road purpose: excellent visibility, high seating position, massive dashboard, maximum functionality in combination with quality finishes. Rear seats- large and comfortable, with adjustable backrest tilt. The size of the trunk will meet the expectations of the most fastidious owner: 1773 liters of volume with the seats folded.

In some modifications in the ceiling of the car there is a hatch - the largest among the "classmates" - 1.5x1.5 m. A real "piece of the sky" above your head.

Specifications, configurations and prices

In Russia, the second Ixtrail is offered with two gasoline engines(volume 2.0 and 2.5 liters, power - respectively 141 and 169 hp) and one two-liter diesel engine with 150 "horses". There are two transmission options to choose from: a 6-speed mechanic and a variator. But there are as many as six complete sets: XE, SE Base, SE Mid, SE High, LE Base, LE High. Such a variety of configurations speaks, firstly, about the huge range of available systems and devices for various purposes, from multimedia and entertainment to real assistants in difficult traffic situations... Secondly, it testifies to the individual approach of developers to each consumer, which is especially valuable.

The most expensive trim levels contain electronic systems to overcome off-road terrain: USS - assistance for uphill driving (holds on a slope up to 10 degrees from rolling) and DDS - downhill (keeps the speed of 7 km / h, preventing the wheels from locking).

Vehicle operating experience

Owner benefits

What are the main advantages of a car? On Nissan X Trail, owner reviews give quite logical and reasonable answers to this question:

  • "Courageous" appearance;
  • comfortable and spacious interior;
  • practical and roomy trunk;
  • significant clearance;
  • soft and reliable suspension;
  • the presence of an intelligent all-wheel drive;
  • availability of additional effective off-road assistance systems.

Problems during operation

Most owners really love this model, but weak spots she also has. Other reviews on the Nissan X Trail give an idea of them:

  • outdated design;
  • increased swelling of the crossover on slopes and in sharp turns;
  • insufficient sound insulation;
  • small resource of steering and variator during operation at low negative temperatures;
  • high maintenance costs.

The sales volumes of this crossover in Russian market stable and high, therefore the manufacturer, despite the release and active start of sales of the 3rd generation of the model, left in production program and the second. It is not at all a fact that consumers will choose a more modern, but lost its zest, a car.

The Nissan X-Trail crossover began to be produced in Japan in 2000, and a year later, export deliveries of the car to other countries began. This model was never sold in the United States, although it was available in Canada and Mexico.

In Russian Nissan market The X-Trail was offered with gasoline engines 2.0 (140 HP) and 2.5 (165 HP), as well as a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with 136 horsepower. For versions with a 2.5-liter engine, a four-speed automatic was offered for an extra charge. All crossovers for Russia had four-wheel drive although there were front-wheel drive modifications in other markets.

In Japan, in addition to cars with two-liter engine(150 hp), a powerful Nissan X-Trail GT was available, equipped with a turbocharged 2.0 engine, developing 280 forces, all-wheel drive and "automatic".

In 2004, a barely noticeable restyling of the model was carried out, and in 2007 its sales in most countries stopped. However, in Taiwan, the release of X-Trails for the local market continued until 2009, and they had a slightly different body design.

2nd generation (T31), 2007–2014

Debuted in 2007 year Nissan The second-generation X-Trail is slightly larger than the previous model, and the most noticeable change in the interior is the instruments, which have moved from the center of the dashboard to the traditional seat in front of the driver. The crossover was created on the Nissan C platform, common with the "" first generation.

Initially, cars with gasoline engines 2.0 (141 hp) and 2.5 (169 hp) were sold in Russia, paired with a manual transmission or a variator. Later the lineup was replenished with a version with a two-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 150 forces, for which a six-speed "automatic" was offered as an option. On Japanese market there was also a version, under the hood of which there was a two-liter diesel engine developing 173 hp. with.

In our market, it was possible to purchase only Nissan X-Trail with an upgraded all-wheel drive transmission with a multi-plate clutch in the rear wheel drive. Crossovers for Russia began to be produced on a full cycle at a plant in St. Petersburg in 2009. Prices for Nissan X-Trail started at 900 thousand rubles.

In 2010, the model was restyled, slightly changing it appearance... In Japan, the production of cars ended in 2013, in Russia they stopped making them in 2014. In 2015, the car returned to the Chinese market under a new name.

Nissan X-Trail car engine table

Good afternoon. In today's article we will talk about the weak points of the Nissan X-Trail of various modifications. Traditionally for our site, the article will contain a lot of photos and videos.

The history of the model.

Nissan x-treil has been produced since 2001 by Nissan in Japan, Canada, Russia and the UK. During the release, the car changed 3 generations, each of which differed in platform, and went through several small restyling. Since the platforms are different, each generation will have their own weaknesses, and we will consider them separately.

Separately, I would like to emphasize that Nissan X-trail, of any generation, is not an SUV, it is an ordinary parquet floor and its place is on the asphalt!

The main drive for this machine is front, the four-wheel drive is connected automatically when one of the wheels slip and, by and large, is a driver assistance system. T. n. hard blocking center differential, connects rear axle multi-plate friction clutch, and operates at speeds up to 30 km / h, and then the system switches to automatic mode.

In general, the car wins in cross-country ability Subaru forester, Toyota RAV4, Honda SRV, but hopelessly behind Land rover Freedlander and (it's about the lowering range in the transmission).

The first generation Nissan X-Trail (Nissan X-Trail T30).

The first generation of the car is based on the modernized Nissan FF-S platform, previously on this platform were produced Nissan cars Almeria and Nissan primera... Produced from 2002 to 2007. A distinctive feature of the car is the inconvenient arrangement of instruments (in the center of the panel).

X-Trail T30 meets with 2.0L gasoline engines. (140 hp), and 2.5 liters. (165 hp), as well as with a 2.2 liter diesel engine. (114 hp)

If you come across an export X-Trail from Japan, it's a bit more interesting - the 2.0-liter Gas engine in the atmospheric version develops 150 hp 150 h.p. and 280 hp. with turbocharging.

In 2003, the first generation was restyled, while the bumpers, interior trim were changed, and the engine power increased slightly.

In the case of Russia, the optimal choice of a mechanic car with a 2.5-liter engine. Its fuel consumption is practically the same as in version 2.0 (and in the urban cycle it will often be lower), and the transport tax remains at an acceptable level. Spare parts are also common.

Diesel is more economical than gasoline versions, but it has problems with maintenance, there are few diesel specialists.
