Namely, with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 109 horsepower for fans of minimalism and a volume of 1.8 liters with a capacity of one hundred and forty-odd "horses". The atmospheric engine of the Chevrolet Cruze is better "lucky" at the bottom, and therefore it is more convenient to crawl in viscous Moscow traffic jams with it. But as soon as a little bit of clearance appears, the Astra, with its explosive turbo pickup, immediately recoups. And on the operational space, and even more so does not leave the Chevrolet Cruze any chance. Opel's suspension is a little better - it works out bumps better and does not allow swinging. The Cruze has a slightly softer suspension, but hardly any more comfortable. Accordingly, the Astra rulitsya more pleasantly, and the turns are written more accurately. The Chevrolet Cruze can only oppose this with lighter gear shifting (on the Opel the effort is noticeable) and slightly better visibility through the side mirrors. The Chevrolet Cruze is a pretty good car, but it's kind of boring and spineless. He does not have vivid features, memorable features either in design or in behavior. In general, the Cruze did not "hook" me. Astra is another matter! Everything is in order here with charisma, and with emotions, and with pleasure from driving. The current generation of Astra is extremely successful. One can, of course, speculate about the difference in price and the advantage of the Opel that participated in the test over the Chevy in equipment and engine power. But even in versions with engines of the same size and comparable Chevrolet trim levels The Cruze is not so much cheaper than the Opel Astra that there is a desire to give it preference.
