1. Check and adjust the tire pressure.

1. Check the condition of the brake pads and brake disc of the front wheels. Replace if worn out.

9. Tighten the engine mountings, the engine oil sump, the upper and lower parts of the clutch housing, fuel lines, intake and exhaust manifolds, the exhaust pipe of the muffler and its suspension. On a UAZ-31604 car, in addition, tighten the fuel pump mount high pressure, glow plug connectors, air hoses, turbocharger, turbocharger to exhaust manifold.

10. Tighten the fastening of the radiator and its lining.

11. Check the condition of the alternator belts, power steering pump, vacuum pump. Replace worn belts. Adjust the tension of the belts.

12. Check and, if necessary, adjust the clearances between the shafts and the valves (UAZ-3160,

31601, -31605).

13. Check the tightness of the power supply system. Eliminate faults.

14. Wash the fuel pump mesh filter (UAZ-31601).

15. Replace the filter element of the fine fuel filter.

16. Clean the air filter and its filter element from dust and dirt. Flush the flame arrestor mesh inside the air filter cover.

17. Clean the battery from dirt, clean the ventilation holes in the plugs, check the electrolyte level and, if necessary, top up with distilled water and charge the battery.

18. Clean the alternator and starter from dirt and oil, check the condition of the collector and brushes. If it is necessary to replace the brushes, blow out the cavity of the generator and starter with compressed air and check their fastening.

19. Clean the surface of spark plugs, ignition coil, distributor sensor and high voltage wires from dirt and oil. Check the distributor sensor, the condition of the high and low voltage wires. Remove spark plugs and check condition. If necessary, clean the electrodes and adjust the gap between them. Check the reliability of the installation of high-voltage wires in the sockets of the distributor sensor cover and the ignition coil. Check the setting of the ignition timing (UAZ-31601).

20. Check the fuel level in the carburetor float chamber, the operation of the accelerator pump and economizer (UAZ-31601). Eliminate malfunctions.

21. Adjust the speed crankshaft on Idling(except for UAZ-3160, -31605) and monitor the toxicity of exhaust gases (except for UAZ-31604). Adjust the air-fuel mixture if necessary.


Car service every 20,000 km

1. Check the condition of the rear wheel brake pads and the parking brake system. Replace extremely worn pads.

2. Adjust the headlights.

3. Check the clearances in the bearings of the main gears of the front and rear axles and, if available, eliminate.
