Winter and summer tire- the difference is significant

At first glance, summer and winter tires on the UAZ differ only visually. The tread for the winter of greater depth, it has a completely different pattern. There are visible studs on the surface of the tire for traction, especially on ice. But these are not the main differences between winter and summer tires.

The tires designed for use in summer are more rigid and capable of withstanding high freezing temperatures. The temperature of the asphalt rises during the hot season, especially when the vehicle is braking and accelerating. With a significant cold snap, the summer tire can no longer hold the road, it easily goes into a skid. It can be compared to an eraser, which, lying in the snow, will simply break if you squeeze it with your hand. Summer look of tires at a temperature of minus 1 degree loses its elasticity. Therefore, in case of frost, it is urgent to replace summer tires with winter ones.

The composition from which the winter tire is made allows it not to harden in severe frosts, to hold the grip firmly. It is soft, looks more voluminous, its tread is higher. With the help of it tires successfully fight snow and ice in winter. Such tires cannot keep the road at freezing temperatures, and especially in the rain. The car becomes poorly controlled. If you use a winter tire in the summer, it will wear out and break down quickly.

Winter tires can be operated up to plus 1 degree. At higher temperatures, they need to be changed.

How to choose winter tires

Probably, all motorists know: when choosing tires for the cold season, you need to be very responsible about it. Regardless of which UAZ brand is owned, the wheels of the car must be proportional to the dimensions of the arches.

Top brands winter tires

If you choose the wrong size tires, they will rub against the wheel arch liners and support the frame. Do not forget that winter tires for UAZ should be selected in accordance with the weight of the car. Tires designed for tractors and large trucks are very hard and cannot be fitted to an SUV. Expensive tires on UAZ stamped disks look frivolous.

Fuel consumption also depends on the tread width of winter tires. The wider, the more. This rule applies when traveling on any public roads.

The tread pattern of the tire allows the machine to increase its cross-country ability. There is optimal adhesion of winter tires to the road, so you can use different shifts and adaptations. This is possible if the tread pattern is suitable for the type of road surface.

When buying expensive wheels, you need to balance them without tires. Be sure to check their quality characteristics when rotating. When purchasing expensive tires, it is necessary to find out which values of the weights for balancing to zero are considered exceeding the norm.

The colder it gets outside, the more motorists think about changing summer tires. When buying tires at UAZ, give preference to tires with spikes. But in this situation, the driver needs to clearly understand where and for what purpose the studded tires will be installed.

If the roads are snowy or covered with ice, a studded winter tire on the front axle will help. But it must be borne in mind that it will reduce the controllability of the car, will cause skidding on ice sections of roads and when braking. This is why studded winter tires are so important to fit back and forth. This ensures the safety of all participants. road traffic and operation of the UAZ.

Features of winter tires on the UAZ Patriot

According to their purpose, they can be:

  • all-season;
  • mud;
  • winter;
  • for extreme situations;
  • large sizes with low pressure.

It is important that all tires on the Patriot are the same size. Front tires wear out faster, so every 1000 km you need to change the front and rear wheels. It is more expedient to put new winter tires forward after balancing. It is recommended to rebalance after 500 km.

When driving on clean, snow-free asphalt, the pressure in winter tires should have standard values: 1.8-2.0 on the front wheels and 2.1-2.4 on the rear wheels. These values are determined by the manufacturer and depend on the characteristics of the tire itself. The manufacturer does not determine the optimality of the readings.

When measuring pressure, the use of the device is mandatory. At the same time, it is necessary to check whether air is escaping through the spool.

Winter shoes for Patriot

Even with a slight roll of the car, you can visually notice the shortcomings of the purchased winter tire.

UAZ Patriot is a four-wheel drive vehicle, a heavy SUV. Tire pressure has a big impact on its drivetrain and fuel consumption. Differing tire pressures on one axle accelerate the wear of the differential. Its blocking and high pressure in wheels are capable of completely destroying the bridge of a car.

In the production of various tires at UAZ, a different composition of raw materials is used. The price of the product depends on the components of this composition. The more High Quality raw materials, the more expensive winter tires.

The mass of rubber on the UAZ is small, but the technical characteristics of the car change:

  • dynamics improves;
  • mileage increases;
  • reduced fuel consumption.

The patterns of winter tires on the UAZ can be different: diamonds, checkers, grooves, etc. Square-section studs will provide good grip. Checkers will help the car to cope with deep snow. Wet snow, bare asphalt - studless winter tires are suitable for the car.

Winter tires on UAZ provide good grip on the road surface, do not freeze, so the car becomes easy to drive.

It is advisable to choose tires from the manufacturer of the car itself. This gives you the assurance that the wheel and tire sizes will match.

Rules for the selection of tires for UAZ

A lot depends on good winter shoes

At first glance, it seems that there are no difficulties. When choosing tires for the Patriot, you need to find out their technical characteristics. Tires should create conditions for safe overcoming of off-road. Rubber for UAZ Patriot must be durable, contribute to stability and the development of high speed.

Car tires can be without spikes, all-season or velcro. It is suitable for installation on UAZ Patriot, UAZ Hunter, and also "loaf". The marking of this rubber is M + S, if the tires are marked with an "asterisk", it means that they have passed special tests on a dense snow road surface.

Winter tires are divided into 2 types:

  • European - for a mild winter climate;
  • Scandinavian - for a harsh, snowy winter.

European tires have the following properties: low level noise, excellent wear resistance, grip on wet, snow-free asphalt, resistance to "slashing" (the exact opposite of aquaplaning, easy movement on "slush"). On an icy surface, such a tire will not show itself very well. Temperature regime suitable for this type of tire is the zero mark.

We can conclude: what better rubber behaves on ice, so much the worse - on wet asphalt.

Non-studded tires, which are close in their characteristics to studded ones, are intended for those roads where snow is removed, but salt and other substances that corrode ice and snow are not poured.

If the driver decides to install studded tires, then the first 200-500 km he must comply with the following rules:

  • avoid sharp turns;
  • slow down smoothly;
  • "Roll" the spikes to the tire.

It is better to choose high-quality studded tires at the manufacturers, with a guarantee of product quality.

Reliable and practical UAZ vehicles are popular in our country. The lineup wide enough. The cars themselves are very unpretentious and have great opportunities in terms of cross-country ability and off-road traffic. Additionally, SUV models are equipped with components that are designed to improve the already high driving performance. One of them is UAZ off-road tires. However, it is necessary to correctly approach the choice.

To understand this issue, it is necessary to take into account many different points. It is also important to pay attention to the features of certain tires. And, of course, know what all-season tires are.

What tires are suitable for UAZ?

For example, for UAZ 33 models and many other similar cars, powerful, hardy tires are suitable. They will be able to cope with the colossal loads that an SUV provides. There are many different options available in car stores today. And if you need to find something you need, sometimes you can even get confused. Road tires are also suitable for UAZs. It is versatile and quite durable. It can be used both on the track and on bad roads. Off-road, it simply will not be of much use - mud models are required here.

Main parameters of mud tires

Any SUV owner must be aware that rubber intended for dirt can significantly affect factors such as handling, speed, and off-road capability. The same applies to performance characteristics... When choosing mud tires for UAZ, it is important to take into account the required size of the tire, its tread pattern, carrying capacity. When choosing such a rubber, it is important to immediately know which roads you will have to drive.

If the car will be used in sands and swampy areas, then softer options should be chosen. If the road is littered with stones, then something tougher will do. An important parameter is the protector. High-quality and reliable, softened tire has a pattern in the shape of a Christmas tree. The harder ones, intended for dirt, will be indicated by an ornament consisting of large blocks. Real mud tires must be MUD marked.

Classification

First of all, you need to know exactly what kind of tires are. You should also take into account the criteria by which you can stop at any of the options. In general, all tires differ in the pattern of the treadmill, the type of road surface, and the season.

So, they distinguish tires aimed at UAZ, asymmetric type and non-directional. According to the type of roadbed, there are highway, road, universal and high strength products. Seasonally - winter, summer and all-season. There are also other parameters by which tires can be classified. One of the most important indicators is coverage. Rubber can be road or road. These tires are characterized by good flotation on asphalt. Also on a hard surface, the products have excellent adhesion. These tires are labeled HT.

Also, rubber differs in noise level and moisture removal. However, these tires are not suitable for winter. The product does not have the necessary characteristics to be able to drive a car on snow or ice. Universal models or those that are suitable for most roads are marked with AT. It is important to remember that these tires are not intended to be used all year round. Feature - large tread pattern.

Mud models are designated M / T. They are made to ride in bad or even extreme conditions. Such models were installed on a military UAZ and vehicles intended for hunting or fishing. The features by which they can be distinguished are a sufficiently deep tread, a large distance between the studs, as well as lugs. The latter make it easier to pass through in deep mud. These tires make a lot of noise when driving. A sports tire modification can also be added to this classification.

This rubber is most suitable for those who practically do not travel in the countryside. This type of product took a little bit from both road modifications and universal versions. It must be remembered that they are also not intended for winter use.

Cordiant OffRoad

This is a versatile tire that became a revolutionary product in its time. The model managed to conquer the segment of affordable tires, and its competitors are completely absent. These products fully justify their price. This off-road tire is a great choice for entry-level off-road fishing. The model is completely muddy, so it is better not to use it for winter. When it comes to driving through mud, everything is perfect here.

But on serious off-road with these tires it will be uncomfortable. This is the choice of those who do not want to deal with car modifications.

Contyre Expedition and Cooper Discoverer STT

Contyre Expedition tread pattern is a copy of the model from Cordiant. The tires fit the Loaf as standard. The product performs better than Cordiant. In addition, their rubber is light and soft. The size is slightly smaller than that stated by the manufacturer. If the choice is Cordiant or Contyre, then the latter is definitely better.

As for that, this is a chic American-made off-road rubber. Its price is quite high. Therefore, you should not install it in standard size... It is recommended to use 265/75 / R15 tire. For installation, you just need to trim the wheel arches. It is the perfect choice for the 469 model.

Ya-245 from Omskshina and Forward Safari 500

The first model is a classic. Although you can't tell by the tread pattern. But UAZ owners know that these tires can be used to make an all-terrain vehicle. To do this, it is enough to cut the tire. The size is standard, but they are purchased specifically for cutting. At the same time, Forward Safari 500 is a real extreme option from a domestic manufacturer.

The price is very affordable. The size is the only and standard for the UAZ-452 car. Among the advantages is excellent cross-country ability on mud. Among the downsides is a hard and very heavy tire. A budget option.

Tire UAZ "Bear": for moderate off-road

This rubber YAShZ-569 is very popular. The product is suitable for use in moderate off-road conditions. Of course, if off-road driving is not the main task. "Bear" is suitable for UAZ Patriot, Niva, and UAZ 33. However, they are not recommended to be used for UAZ-469, as well as for Hunter and Patriot. In this case, the tire is smaller than necessary. One should not expect much efficiency from them. But if you buy a suitable disc, then it is quite possible to install it on the "Loaf".

These tires can provide a fairly high level of comfort on asphalt, but are not suitable for everyday use. The rubber has an off-road tread pattern. The first places in the rally-raids were won on these tires. You can also often see a military UAZ, shod with this rubber. The owners say this is a good choice. So, the tread is quite serious, the tire is normally cleaned of dirt. But the minus is that it is not high, about 30 inches. Tire width - 235. A car on the road with "Bear" is more stable than with standard tires.

Tires Ya-471

This model, like the "Bear", is produced on a tubeless tire and has serious advantages. The car moves very gently with it. If there are joints on the asphalt, these UAZ tires simply swallow them. Also, the model has excellent directional stability. The tread pattern allows you to overcome even difficult terrain. Many people like that with these tires the car takes on a unique, combat look. It would seem that wider tires should give way to narrow ones. However, in this case, this is not at all the case.

The tire is installed on standard wheels, can be mounted on a camera. If the first option is used, then the rubber should be installed only with a camera. On forged can be used without it. In the summer it reliable option, but in winter, all its effectiveness is reduced to zero. Also, those who managed to use the model claim that the tires are difficult to balance. Despite the fact that most of them install these tires on UAZ with standard disks and then drive without any problems, this is not entirely correct. This nuance is very important. The width of the disc must be greater than the width of the rubber. So, for this tire, it is at least 7 inches. In short, the model is reliable in many ways. But if there is a tractor track ahead, and before that there was a downpour, then it is better not to risk it. It is argued that this option is poorly controlled on mud.

Winter tires for UAZ

UAZs are driven a lot and often. Most of them change from Niva. And there is something to love about these models - high ground clearance, excellent cross-country ability and many other advantages. People think about buying a winter one when there is frost outside the window. There is no special time to choose. Therefore, people go to stores and buy what is on the counter. This approach is fundamentally wrong. In stores, very often they only offer what urgently needs to be sold. Often, the owners of "Bukhanok" prefer domestic products.

Many people buy I-192. She has a serious appearance and the tread pattern is quite aggressive. As for winter operation, such a tire slips and is very dangerous. Not suitable for the cold season. But winter tires for the Patriot are available in a wide range. And since standard size wheels "Loaf" is 225/75 / R16, it is quite possible to apply these models not only on it, but also on other cars.

Nokian SUV and Hankook i Pike RW11

The Nokian SUV is an improved version of the previous model that has received many good reviews.

Last year, the tire managed to show that it was not in vain that it was made. But at the same time, you need to remember that this is a budget solution. Suitable for winter in both studded and non-studded versions.

The same cannot be said for the Hankook i Pike RW11. There are no thorns here. This is the so-called Velcro. The rubber is produced by a Korean manufacturer. The product is quite high quality and is offered at affordable prices. The tire can be purchased at a price of 3 to 10 thousand rubles per unit. She has a lot of positive reviews. The model performs well in winter - even in deep snow, on a rolled surface or on asphalt. This tire is optimal for cities, but it will not let you down even on the road.

Conclusion

Here is such a choice of rubber for UAZ cars today. In general, there is something to think about. There are also budget solutions for the city, and there are options for extreme lovers. There is even a good selection of winter tires. Thus, your SUV will be on full alert all year round. You just need to choose the right tires and change your vehicles on time.

A lot of people drive "Patrick" cars, two of my friends got on this SUV after the Niva and are very happy, especially in winter - the high ground clearance allows you to drive in deep snow and not to steam when parking in uncleared yards. It is almost autumn in the yard and very soon it will be time to change shoes in winter tires.

And since our people are Russian)), the purchase of winter tires very often begins already in the freeze. There is no time to choose and people just go to the store and take what the sellers advise them. Such an approach is not justified, since very often the shops offer non-ice rubber that they need to sell. Therefore, I decided to devote one article to the topic of choosing winter tires for the Patriot, or rather, I will make a selection in a suitable dimension, you can safely take any of the presented ones.

Tire sizes for stock Patriot

From the factory, Patras are equipped with an all-season Kama 221 in the size of 235/70 / R16, but the stock is still decent, so you can set larger sizes - 245/70 / R16 and even with a 75th profile. Well, the size 225/75 / R16 is also suitable, but this rubber is a little narrower than the 235th, but the profile is higher and this is better - the car goes softer and swallows holes and irregularities. On the other hand, if you buy a rubber with a high profile, but it has a soft sidewall, then the car will float when changing lanes.

For winter, it is better to take tires narrower so that it bites easier into snow and ice. It turns out that for the winter on the stock Patriot it will be optimal to put tires in the size of 225/75 / R16. In this dimension, we will see what is good about winter tires in stores and how much it will cost.

Well, one more remark - the Patriot car is big, heavy, and therefore the tires will most often be with the SUV prefix. When choosing a rubber, look at the load capacity, so that it does not happen that under the weight of Patra, the rubber does not crumble more than necessary due to the weak sidewall.

Five worthy winter tires in Patriot size

Nokian nordman 5 SUV

(In the photo, the UAZ Patriot on the fifth Nordmann in the size 245/70 / R16)

The fifth Nordman from Nokian is an improved version of the fourth model, which has received many positive reviews. And the 5th model only last year showed that it was not in vain released - a lot of people are praised. However, do not forget that the rubber is budgetary and if you compare it with some Hakka, then the choice can be made in favor of the Finns, but the price tag there is 2 times higher. And if we take into account that in such a dimension, even budget tires cost under 5k per cylinder, then buying a large Hakka is really an overhead business. Nokian Nordman 5 SUV in size 225/75 / R16 for fall 2015 costs 6200 rubles per cylinder (you can see it with a reinforced sidewall with the XL index). An excellent choice for winter, studded tires, so if you operate a car in a city where there is asphalt all year round, choose non-studded tires. Which one? See below.

Hankook I Pike RW11

(In the photo - again Patras on this Korean Velcro)

Rubber without spikes - Velcro. The Korean company continues to win the hearts of motorists from Russia, producing very high-quality goods at a fairly low price. Velcro Pike - according to Yandex Market, it has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and under 50 reviews are mostly positive. I myself can say from Hankuk that they know how to make rubber (I have been going to Dinapro for the third year all-season and I am very satisfied).

I Pike RW11 shows itself perfectly in winter where there is deep snow, crust, a packed snow road and, of course, bare asphalt. Ideal for metropolitan areas that are cleaned and have to drive mostly on asphalt. The Patriot is mainly used for mixing, and therefore this Velcro is suitable - it digs deep snow remarkably, you can conquer the swept fields. The price tag for a cylinder in our dimension is an average of 6,500 rubles.

Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6

Another Velcro, which fell in love with the owners of urban crossovers such as Tiguan and Tuareg, in our city, literally every third owner of these cars drives this rubber in winter. There are no complaints about the quality, I myself saw how Tiguan behaves on this Velcro - no words, just gorgeous and even excellent on ice. Of course, it is quite suitable for the Patriot and the price tag for our size is normal - about 6400 rubles. There are also a lot of positive reviews, a fairly large tread on which you can knead snow and ride comfortably around the city. An excellent friction clutch for large jeeps)) A lot of Patriotovodov chose this particular Velcro for themselves, a plus was also a large selection of sizes both in the direction of the tire width and in the direction of increasing the profile.

Found a video on YouTube - Patriot Pret on a snowfield on SJ6:

Continental Conti4x4IceContact

Another gorgeous studded rubber from the German concern. It costs a little more - an average of 7100 rubles, but it fully works out every ruble invested in the purchase. High test results confirm this. With proper running-in, studs hold phenomenally, in contrast to cheaper rubber, where the loss of studs during the winter season can reach about 5-10 percent. Everything here is at the highest level - the snow is digging very powerfully, the sidewall is strong, and the tire itself is soft, so it is very comfortable to ride in winter. If you have money for the Continental, be sure to take it. The epithets given by the drivers are chic, magical, comfortable, and definitely worth their money.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2

Well, what is the rating of winter tires without Hakkapelita. Finnish developers know firsthand about winter tires and their knowledge is many times greater than that of Koreans, Germans and Japanese. Therefore, if there is money of the order of 8-9k for a cylinder for a Patriot, then there is even nothing to think about. Hakka has always ranked top3 in all winter tire tests for 10 years and should be trusted.

(In the photo - the newest LT2 on the Patriot in the size 245/75 / R16)

Video - Hakka LT2 in deep snowdrifts:

This LT2 model is a novelty, there are still few reviews on it, but they are enthusiastic. But what you should pay attention to - on its predecessor model LT - there are simply no words, some drooling - it digs super, the grip is excellent, braking is 6 points out of five)) In general, the most reliable and resistance of studs to falling out is simply phenomenal (of course the same under the condition of correct running in). So the second model will be no worse. Note that this tire is included in our rating because it has a size 225/75 / R16. If you take a slightly wider or smaller profile, you can already look towards the very worthy model Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 SUV. One way or another, the price tag for Hakku LT2 is 8700, for 7 Suv - 9800 per cylinder. As you can see, the price tag bites very hard, however, as the lucky ones who bought Finnish rubber say, you can ride it without problems for at least 5 seasons. The studs are in place, wear is slow, and therefore the high price pays off with a long service life.

We hope that the presented rating of winter tires on Patriot will help you in choosing. In addition to this five, there are also 20 pieces worthy of models from other companies - the same Bridgestone Blizzak or weaving Gislaved NordFrost. Look, choose, leave your feedback about your winter "sneakers" here.

Rubber on the UAZ is a very dreary and extensive topic, which I have not yet touched upon. Today we will try to understand this difficult issue. There are a couple about rubber good articles, including on the website http://www.uazbuka.ru. I decided to compose the material from there and present it in a more convenient form. So…

“These guys need to get to more important places than you. Take care of the rubber. Check your tires IMMEDIATELY. "

The first article tells about "foreign" tires on UAZ 🙂

"Foreign" tires for UAZ

Only tires of the Mud Terrain class are able to instill unlimited confidence in the owner of an SUV.
These tires were originally designed to tackle the most difficult off-road terrain, although they are not prohibited to drive on normal roads. Efficiency when driving on the most different types soils, sufficient traction to overcome mud and ford, "puncture-proof", strength and movement at any inflation pressure - for this, Mud Terrain tires are loved by avid hunters and anglers, as well as off-road driving enthusiasts.

Rubber BFGoodrich Radial Mud Terrain T / A.

Radial tubeless tire with triple protective polymer cord. It has a developed and balanced set of off-road qualities and for many jeepers serves as a kind of benchmark for comparison. Mud Terrain T / A Endurance (mileage in normal road conditions can reach 40-50 thousand km) and is produced in a wide range (nine sizes for 15-inch disks, 6 sizes for 16, two for 16.5).
Cooper Discoverer STT. An off-road tire of a well-known and popular brand in America. In terms of some off-road qualities, it is inferior to the previous one, but more versatile. It loses a little in strength and endurance, but it is cheaper (however, if we take into account, again, prices in the USA). It is also produced in a very wide range (10 sizes for 15 "rims, 13 x 16, 3 x 16.5, there are even sizes for 17 and 14" rims).

General Tire Grabber MT rubber.

This tire is manufactured by the Continental group of companies. It has proven itself well on sandy roads (the optimal ratio of the area of "checkers" to the depth of the grooves), copes well with dirt (self-cleaning tread) and is not afraid of rocky roads (new super-strong rubber compound). Noisy on the asphalt. So far, it is produced only in the six most popular "jeep" sizes.
Goodyear Wrangler MT / R. As soon as it appeared, this novelty was immediately called by experts "a new word in dirty business." It has enormous grip on the mud, works great at lowered, comfortable on normal road. Goodyear has incorporated the very best technological advances in MT / R (silicone rubber compound, polymer three-layer sidewall, enhanced puncture protection, special cord construction that forms an impressive paw of the contact patch) and therefore ranked it, no less than things State-of-the-Art (well, it's kind of like "the best and not necessary").

Mickey Thompson Baja CLAW Radial rubber.

Another novelty. Aggressive appearance provokes the same off-road style. Powerful oblique mud evacuation ditches in the tread allow attacking deep mud literally from the raid without the risk of "surfacing" and loss of inertia, and the elastic rubber compound and strong cord provide the tire with passability over stones and cobblestones. The tire is not cheap and is only available in 4 sizes so far.

Tires for UAZ Pirelli Scorpion MUD.

Even such a “peaceful”-looking tire like this one contains all the huge sporting and technological experience that has been acquired Pirelli in international rally-raids. Scorpion MUD behaves well on soft soils, copes well with slippery roads, and on ordinary concrete or asphalt it goes with comfort and without unnecessary noise, maintaining good directional stability even at a high speed for an SUV (130-140 km / h).

Rubber for UAZ YaI-357A

YaI-357 is a radial version of UAZ non-military rubber Ya-245. Accordingly, it should behave the same way off-road, but slightly better at highway speeds.

I bought a UAZ with this rubber, I left for over a year. I think this is a good radial model, good in winter and summer. I don't want to switch to another model of rubber, and then I will only buy it.

YaI-357 (215-90R15) from Yaroslavl - similar in design to the diagonal, but much softer. The car confidently goes through the mud, has, in my opinion, good directional stability. For sand and loose soil, the tire, perhaps, is not very suitable. Since we have more mud than sand, I recommend this rubber to those who live in the village or often travel to the country.

Mud tires on UAZ Ya-358

Tire size 11.2-16; Purpose: front driving axle MTZ-82N; Load index 1050; Speed index A6 (30); Diagonal diagonal construction; Outer diameter, mm 895; Profile width, mm 290; Weight, kg 44

Tractor rubber. They are driven by mini tractors 16-7.5 it is like 31 ″ exists and 16-9.5 ie. 35 ″, but once again - this is a terrible deficit of the most massive tractors- Chinese, rubber they have g ..., solid soot, die at a time

From the stories on it - it's just super in the mud (there is no super), but it cuts through the swamp and begins to dig in at a breakneck speed.

Manufactured by Volzhsky Shiny Zavod (VlShZ), Voltyr OJSC, Volgograd Region, Volzhsky.
The low-profile, diagonal tire F-201 (10.0 / 75-15.3) is designed for the universal small-sized machine MKSM-800, which performs lifting and transport operations in quarries and mines. The low profile and cross-country pattern of non-directional type provide high cross-country ability both when moving forward and backward in off-road conditions, on snowy roads and on deformable surfaces, high directional stability and tire grip. The maximum tire load (depending on the ply) is from 1120 to 1695 kgf, the weight is 30 kg, the maximum speed is 30 km / h.

About the F-201 tire, a short history:
For a long time I rode on I-409 tires and had a clear example of the operation of I-192. Driving through swampy areas showed that both tires were narrow and heavy. UAZ crashes. After traveling along the clay and snow tracks behind the elevated Land Rovers, Land Cruisers and Jeeps, it turned out that a standard UAZ with military bridges on standard wheels drives no worse. Therefore, I decided to find tires that are wide and with a standard outer diameter.
The "goodrich" option disappears for a number of reasons:
-expensive
-relatively weak sidewalls (fairly frequent punctures)
-large diameter in relation to the width of the tire (not suitable for my driving style)

The "tractor tree" variant of the Yaroslavl or Belorussian plant is omitted for the following reasons:
-weighs a lot
-too large diameter (overloading of units, poor dynamics of acceleration and deceleration)

From the operation of my UAZ in difficult conditions, the following requirements were determined to which the tire must meet:
-reasonable price
-have developed lugs (such as Ya-192)
- have a standard dia. with a large width (from 250mm.)
- the weight should be no more than that of the standard
- strong sides

Searches led to the following models TVL-3, VL-30, F-201. The following dimensions: 10/75 / 15.3 and 11.5 / 80 / 15.3 Protector: "fir tree", analogue of I-192
The choice fell on the F-201, an analogue of the I-192, size. 10/75 / 15.3.
I liked the tire because it has an outer diameter. 780 mm. at a width of 10 inches (almost 250 mm.). The weight is not much more than the standard (own feelings tested during tire fitting). Tread middle part similar to I-192, and the side one is like a "Christmas tree".
Fears caused the landing diameter. 15.3 (UAZovsikie at 15).

The following ideas for installing such tires appeared:
-Under the cut camera like on trucks.
- when expanding the discs (according to the 2-one principle), install the hoops.
-Supply discs from the appropriate technique with re-drilling the holes for the bolts and the hub. (8-9 inch discs are needed)
-to put on standard discs(for check)

I followed the simple path "installation on uaz disks". Two people had to do tire fitting, because of the large width of the tire with rather rigid sides and a narrow disc. During tire fitting, the impression was that our constructors were saving on matrices under 15.3, and they simply put a stamp on the sidewall. I pumped the tire up to 2 atm. Due to the narrow disc, the protector is located in an arc (when viewed from the "end"). I put all the wheels on a UAZ with military bridges and wheel arches. We look. The rear wheels do not touch anywhere, the front ones too. We make labels. Go. You can drive on asphalt up to 80 km / h, but for a short time (lack of balancing and narrow discs). After running along the road 120 km long with an average speed of 60 km / h. the tire is hot enough (causes concern) The tires are quite tough and all the flaws of the asphalt road make themselves felt on the steering wheel. After intensive acceleration and deceleration, we look at the marks - everything is in place. We bleed the pressure up to 1.2 atm. The car began to go much softer. Continue onto a country road. The vibration from the wheels has disappeared, you can go fast enough. On clay, the tire goes well, it does not get washed out, it became possible to quickly accelerate and brake. This allows me to move in a style close to the rally. We climb along a deep rut. The car strikes with bridges and razdatka, but goes. Trying to get out of the rut with all-wheel drive. Steering wheel to the left, iiiiii! The car slightly rose, but continued straight ahead. Now into the swing. The third time I stopped by. I'm trying the option of getting out of the rut without front axle... The attempt was successful the first time. Further four-wheel drive and in front. We are looking for a place to get stuck. Aha !!! Ready. Trying to swing. Super!!! After I-409, it feels like the car has "grown claws." The machine lends itself well to swinging, while the swinging process is clearly controlled. On the sand, everything is "way". The digging process is always under control. Unfortunately, we did not manage to ride through the swampy terrain. We look at the marks - they are again in place. The next step is to rework the disks. I suppose, thereby, to get rid of wheel runout and increase the contact patch.

Rubber I-502

I installed the Nizhnekamsk I-502. Of the FOUR wheels, TWO were balanced (imbalance of 500 kopecks). Put it on alloy wheels with the shape of a star and departure ET = 0 (disks from Kamensk-Uralsky "Vicom" five-ray star). As a result, I got the following. The mass of native rubber with a disc is 33 kg, now it is 25 kg, the wheel is lighter by 8 kg. Only 8 kg x 4 = 32 kg. The creaking of the front pads is a thing of the past, apparently due to the fact that the cooling has improved. Dynamics began to appear during acceleration and movement (wheels are lighter). Due to the smaller outreach, the track has increased, i.e. cornering stability (not tilting so much), as well as handling (no need to steer). You practically never get tired on long trips. There is practically no goat and it has become softer ... I advise, I like it.

They hold the road firmly, do not fall into the skid, like "relatives". In the last snow and ice on the country road they behaved normally. Dragged more than 50 km of UAZ with a jammed engine, dragged him, darling, even on a completely icy hill. On the road, it is soft and not noisy. I keep the pressure 2.5 - 3.

In my opinion, 502 is what you need. The diameter is sufficient, soft (with such a suspension it is important), the pattern is sufficient for mud, and at the same time it is good on the track.

It works fine everywhere, except for wet clay - it licks at the moment, self-cleaning of the tread - 0.

Rubber I-502, although it did not give reason to doubt the passability of the UAZ, but course stability on clay - well, none.

502 behaves just fine on a winter road, although it doesn't really like virgin snow. [Cuirassier]

I searched for the official needs of the 2nd set, the conclusions:
1. Weak sidewalls - cut to tear at a stroke.
2. It is lathered both on clay and on simply damp arable land (fertile land, but not black soil).
3. Diameter for ed. small bridges.
4. The ground clearance drops even in comparison with the standard.
5. In winter, there are no special advantages. [Elk postal]

I-502 (225-85R15) - developed by NIISHP, produced at Nizhnekamskshina - slightly wider than YaI-357, and the car runs even smoother on it. In the mud, this tire does not work well - it immediately clogs up and does not self-clean, like the YaI-357. Directional stability with her is also worse, but if you get into a skid, she pulls the car when gas is supplied much more willingly. And on a hard damp surface, "502" behaves better than "357". I think that the I-502 will suit those who travel all year round, but it is probably not worth arranging a Camel Trophy on it.

I put it on 3160 almost immediately after buying it. The difference between the standard and the 520 is striking. The car practically stopped prowling, it became softer, more dynamic (although the latter is most likely due to more fluent alloy wheels). The truth with balancing is a problem. The imbalance of some wheels reached 300 gr. The tires have already passed about 24 thousand km. On asphalt, incl. and on the wet, on the sand behaves with dignity. There are no cameras. He holds the pressure perfectly - for the entire time he corrected it once no more than 0.2. In short, the impressions are good. [Siberian]

520 (Pilgrim) has a size of 235-75 R15, in reality - 29 inches. The car on it goes "like clockwork", more precisely - "like on rails" - excellent handling and no yaw. And on completely regular rusty discs. The car runs very smoothly. Weights - 2-3 pcs. on the wheel. Pressure (tubeless): not dropped at all in 9 months! About off-road qualities: me and Andrey (The Beast) were in Tver on the "Off-road expedition" in the second (medium in difficulty) group. But I still had to go along the most difficult route. Andrey has portal bridges, and mine - collective farm bridges and without blockages. But I only got stuck sitting on both of these collective farm bridges. So I will only change this gum for a trophy 33 inch. [Radomirich]

No action on the part of the I-520 tire itself was noticed towards self-cleaning in the mud :). But at the same time it goes! Three times in the mud, they knocked the ponzhayku into neutral, and in the most ambush places. But he cut it in - and went! - Where Vitaly went on I-192, there I went on I-520). I will repeat once again - on the I-520 I got stuck only thoroughly sitting on both bridges. But not once because of the slippage of tires clogged with mud. Once again - the diameter of the tire is 29 inches, for the I-471 - 30.4. That is, the ground clearance will be more than one and a half centimeters. Whether it is a lot or a little is up to you to decide.
By the way, the chains on the I-520 are easier to find. On the I-471, they may have to be modified.
About city driving. No noise (they actually are, of course, but the transmission and other hardware blocks them), no vibrations. The handling is excellent. The last 200 km from Tver to St. Petersburg were driven with Misha and Shurik at least 110 km / h. I really wanted to go home :). In this case, the tires behaved very well.

Dry residue. After all, the I-520 is a city bus, on which you can safely get out into nature. I-471 is a universal tire (but not for raids, of course). Very normal. But it seems to me that it makes sense to put it also on good 8-inch wheels with no more than zero offset. Then you will be able to feel all its charm and will not touch the suspension. [Radomirich]

Soft, quiet, very stable rubber. The diameter is actually an inch smaller than that of the 502 and standard ones. But this is such nonsense compared to the comfort and confidence on the road that these tires provide.
About off-road. Of course, she's not for him. But on a couple of rides (one of them Lesnoe-2000), the tires showed the following:

  • on soft ground, where the I-192 falls through in one and a half pass, the I-520 can be driven back and forth 20 times (pulled stuck nivovods).
  • compared to other road tires for UAZs of this class and size, incl. and standard 245 and 357, I-520 is the best off-road for cross-country ability.
  • compared to 502 - sat down only where he sat on collective farm bridges... And THE BEAST with Andrey and Ira was on military bridges and at 502. I didn't sit on bridges too much, therefore I also didn't get too stuck.

The disks are a bit wide. For I-520, 7 ″ disks are better. But the car will be 8 ″ more stable on the highway and overturning. [Radomirich]

Well, yes, small diameter and weak sidewalls. He sat down with bridges in a rut, along which the UAZ had previously driven on standard tires. He broke the sidewall after hitting the curb tangentially. On the asphalt - great, on a regular one it threw in a random direction when braking, after replacing it with a pilgrim, everything returned to normal. It goes well in the snow, compared to the standard one, the same snowdrift pushes less. In general, I liked it in the mud, the tread is even better than the 471, it gets washed out less. True, I compared when 471 stood on the trooper, maybe it wasn't about the rubber 🙂

Tires for UAZ I-506

In the longitudinal direction, it clings super, brakes and paddles perfectly on any snow. Cleans up well - tasted in the mud during the thaw. The cons are:
- in the transverse direction it holds rather weakly - somehow I could not get out of the side of the road. The slope was 20 degrees and there was a lot of snow;
- a bit harsh. Not fatal;
- it is too small, only about 29 inches.

By the way, I have already experienced it in the mud. Feelings are very good - the drawing is large, with a good distance between the blocks. It cleans up very well, only on dry soil small drainage grooves are clogged, but this is not scary. In the mud 30 cm deep, which the UAZs on the YaI-357 drove around, drove without any problems and still pulled a chisel behind them.
It also holds well on dry, loose soil - it is pleasant to climb ravines. There are problems on deep dry sand - it was felt that the car was slipping - apparently too narrow and toothy for sand, so for sand it is better to take I-471, probably.

I-471 (31x10.5 inches) appeared recently. This tubeless tire from Yaroslavl, perhaps, has absorbed the advantages of the two previous models (YaI-357 and I-502): the car runs very smoothly on it, the asphalt joints are simply swallowed. Directional stability is better than on other tires, and thanks to the "evil" pattern, cross-country ability will satisfy many. And what a combat look the UAZ acquires! Frankly speaking, I doubted for a long time whether to install these tires. It seems to be clear from textbooks that a wide tire should be inferior to a narrow one in cross-country ability. But, having traveled on the Ya-471, I can confidently say that it surpasses the two previous ones. True, it needs wheels wider than the standard ones for tubeless tires.

Frequently asked questions about I-471:
1. Whether to put on native disks? - YES!
2. Should I be put on camera? - YES!
3. Is the option possible with both? (on standard disks with a camera)
- On standard disks with a camera only. On domestic forged for UAZ, it is possible without a camera. [OlegM]
4. Does the car need to be lifted? - On a leaf spring suspension it is possible not to lift
I have an unloaded car, with civil bridges, 3 centimeters to the wheel arch liners.

Impressions of Ya 471 at speed:
Yesterday, returning from the hacienda, I drove a little with a sneaker on the floor with a slipper and was pleasantly surprised by the behavior of the car. On "native" YI 357 at speeds above 110-120, the car began to "fidget". And now - that 130, that 80 - the behavior is the same - rides and rides. Moreover, since except for rubber did not change anything - this is clearly her merit. [Chief]

In the summer on the asphalt, I think the 471 is ideal for a UAZ, but in the winter there is simply none.

A few nuances about the I-471:
1. Balanced with difficulty. I have forged wheels, so the weights take up about a sixth of the length of the wheel rim
2. Despite the fact that many people put on disks of the standard width, that is, 6 inches, and they seem to drive without problems, this is not correct, since the disk nirina should be 70-75 percent of the width of the rubber. That is, for I-471 AT LEAST 7 inches. I have eight inches. Departure - zero.
3. My car is almost new. At first, the rubber did not cling to the outer part of the arches, but, apparently, the springs sagged and began to touch a little. It is necessary either to bend the arches a little inward, or rather, to lift their inner flanges, or lift them a little. If there are wheel arch liners - then only. You can also just cut the wings a little, but this is not for everybody. Or a professional 🙂
4. I-471 behaves amazingly on asphalt, sand, not very washed out primer. It's hard to bury yourself in it. [Jedi]

Of course, it doesn’t obey the gravel, but I don’t remember much enthusiasm from the Ya-357 either ... Basically, on a wet clay track, I even rode it up a hill (of course, with a front end) and even started uphill. Although probably in critical modes on a tractor track after an avalanche it can fail. It's just that in my practice, critical modes are more common on the track (for example, rain or bitumen) and on slopes, where an extra centimeter of track will not hurt. In short, this rubber is not for trial, but for the normal life of the layman.

I ride the Ya-471 all year round. Regular disks. It's great in the summer, I didn't look for much dirt, but in the fall I hit it once. When not very lumpy rides normally. BUT I didn't storm big mud.
Winter is bad, especially on ice. Snow is lightly packed normally. I rode a lot on the crossroads, if it is firm under the wheels, then it goes great. There is an observation that you have to steer a little more intensively, this is on standard disks. Or maybe it's a glitch. In my opinion, the wheel does not need to be pumped more than 2 points. In principle, I'm happy with the rubber. I am thinking of redoing the standard wheels by 8 inches. [Running Turtle]

I-471 lowered to 0.5 rt in the snow as you like, and in which case it allows you to back up. It has been tested in practice many times. With more pressure, it rides lousy

Tires for UAZ Ya-569

ZAO TsARM (St. Petersburg) tested new Y-569 tires, which proved to be positive and have a pattern for off-road vehicles. UAZ on such tires won the 1st place ("Turboded") in the rally-raid "Polygon-2000". [TsARM]

The rubber is good, the tread is evil, it cleans normally, one big minus is only about 30 inches, it is rather low. Width 235 for her, dear. On the road with it the car is better than with the standard one. So for an amateur, in general. And on the highway I-471 is definitely better, 569 is noisy and the gasoline eats well.

"Taganka"

There was such a thing. Nothing particularly good: 1. small diameter; 2. the tread is only for asphalt - it slips even on the grass; ((((In my opinion, you shouldn't get involved with this - take the I-502 - this is a kind of "optimum for the people";))) Leha47rus

Enough for less than a year, everything went with the screw. Unfortunately, MShZ has not yet learned how to make reusable rubber. And so all is well. [Ivanushka]

Rubber for UAZ Ya-192

Through the mud - like a tank. On the highway - worse than a tank, in the sense that while you get to the mud, it will shake all the insides.

I tried to compare I-502 and I-192 in deep snow. This was done in the following way: on the I-502 I go to a certain place and ride there until I bury myself completely. At the same time, I try not to bring all this to the state of a tank range. Then I drive and change wheels quickly. I go there again and again try to ride along specially left strips of untouched snow, parallel to the previous ruts. Conclusion: I-192 is better, but not much.

In the snow, where I drove on a worn 357, 192 falls through, digs and sits. A meter ahead - a meter back more or less. You roll - you go. It is useless to deflate. Vopschem got tired of sex and I put on chains: 0)) It is much better, but damn narrow rubber to disgrace. One devil falls through. On the highway, a gear grinder and a hand massager, regardless of the power steering. On the road at 90 km / h, you will love to keep the car. Throws it from side to side. I ran into a cigarette butt for 5 minutes and you catch the road: 0)) It's better not to go on the ice at all, it's useless to slow down, it's useless to steer. I almost blew a chisel: 0) In the morning it was -10 The wheels warmed up 15 km: 0) And the good thing about this rubber is just the diameter of the wheel and the ride on the snow.

Tires for UAZ Ya-409

I drive a Ya-409 year and through the swamp and in the city ... and in the snow. It's just great in the snow, not bad on the ice. I don’t go slowly on the asphalt, at 140 (if you don’t talk too much with the steering wheel…) Radial tires. Only in the open-pit mine Zvenigorodsky got stuck in a puddle of clay, but I think there was nothing to do there and on the I-192. [Kolka]

I have had I-409 for 2 years. It has justified itself only as a winter one, at summer rallies and mud trophies it is not cleared at all. At the summer autocross competitions, everyone who was on the I-192 did me.

In the mud, what was offered to her, she succeeded easily. Howling on the highway is not weak, but bearable, well managed. [timosha]

On the ice, of course, g ... oh! On rolled snow, it is wonderful - normal directional stability, maneuverability as on a dry road, in deep snow (up to 40-50 cm) it confidently rushes due to its high profile, but it makes it rocking, like on a boat. Cleans well, even in wet clay. I don’t regret a bit. Although it is harsh in comparison with other tires. I keep the pressure 1.8 - 1.9.

Now I don't even want to put the 502 back, although there are 4 wheels. Supposed to put 409 only for dirt, and now I do not take it off. But it is really buried in one fell swoop, I had it both in the sand and in the gravel. You famously throttle the rear axle and sit, but as a rule, turning on the front end fixes everything. And more advice on balancing. When they are balancing, ask them not to rush to hang a bunch of loads at once, let the tire twist on the disk. This allowed me to halve the weight of the cargo.

Test report I-409:
Not tested only in a swamp and in deep snow.
Before that I went to 245, and then to 502.

Viscous mud after rain - does not self-clean at all (although we still need to figure out what is put into this concept), the rollers are obtained as in the 245, only wider, but the car goes even though it prowls to the sides, but it confidently climbs up, where there were 245 problems (there was a case to compare, we drove in two cars).
GOOD mud, after a good rain - allows you to ride one rear wheel drive, it was not possible to plant even once. Even if you rest against bridges and roll backwards for a long time before either making your way forward or backwards on your own, it doesn’t burrow like 192. I am very pleased with the ability to get out of a rut and not fall off the edge back, it holds side sliding well on slopes.
Clay - the protector is clogged, but it squeezes out the clay perfectly. This weekend (6 people, 2 dogs, a full trunk) I got up on a clay rise of 30 degrees and only then realized that I was driving on the rear axle. He turned on the front end and climbed into the tightness on the second lowered one. At 502, I would not have jerked there.
Golimy rolled ice - I was driving on the rear wheel drive without showing off, the car behaves quite predictably, starts and slows down normally.
Snow porridge with loose ice - no question, goes like on asphalt.
Just asphalt (dry, wet no matter) - more hot than 502 (though I keep 3 atmospheres), a little noisier - but not so much to feel discomfort. I was not overclocked until…. I don’t know how many, the speedometer was over 120 on the tachometer 4000 rpm on the gr / bridges normally, the car does not prowl.
Only two wheels are well balanced (up to 100 grams per side), and two (up to 250 grams per side). In short, I'm happy, if I change when, then for some new one or for 33 ". These are my personal conclusions, as you know, which I made for myself in half a year of operation. Dashed off more than 10,000 km, noticeable wear only on the front wheels from the outside. As I understand it, this is a disease of most UAZs, plus fast cornering.

Noise level - when the vents are closed, rubber is generally inaudible, regardless of speed and coverage.
Holds the road well. Repeatedly tried to let go of the steering wheel at a speed of 80-90 km / h - the car rushes like a tank (just doesn't feel right).
Fuel consumption (I have 126 carb.)
In summer - 12.5 liters on the highway (average speed 80 km / h), 14.5 - in the city, of course, when driving with one bridge turned on.
In winter, the consumption on two bridges does not exceed 18 l / 100 km.
Passage:
Sand - very confident, under any load;
Snow - rolling on a field with a depth of snow cover up to 40 cm - felt quite comfortable.
Clay (loam) - rides until you sit on the bridges, then - well ... :-).
Ice: get under way - better on two bridges, slow down - you can and with one turned on.
From negative aspects- one: the problem is to get out of the rut, the side lugs are very weak.

Conclusion: for everyday use in urban conditions and not very serious off-road - I recommend paying attention to it. Well, it’s better to climb into d..mo naturally on more eminent brethren. [Mamaiashvili Sergei Valerievich]

"Cars UAZ-3151, UAZ-31512, UAZ-41514 and their modifications" (operation manual RE 05808600-060.96)

The pressure is indicated in MPa (kgf / m2). The pressure test is carried out on cold rubber.

For fans of video modifications on how to make cuts in rubber on a UAZ:

Some car enthusiasts are accustomed to driving not only in small, maneuverable cars, which are ideal for driving in a large metropolis. A small car is easier to park, since it does not require too much space and is cheaper to maintain (small engine volume), but having in addition such a car as a UAZ, huge opportunities open up for the car owner. A car like this can rightfully be called a beast car. Not a stock properly pumped car, which has tires of normal cross-country ability, is able to cope with any off-road conditions.

Rubber "Goodrich", which is chosen by many owners of a UAZ car, naturally has excellent characteristics, however, such tires are quite expensive. In turn, at the car market you can buy various Russian tires, which are no worse than foreign ones, especially since the rigid structure of the UAZ suspension is able to withstand different loads. However, like any other product, the rubber on the UAZ has its own advantages and significant disadvantages, in the material below the principle is considered the right choice optimal rubber for the domestic UAZ car.

Features to consider when choosing tires for UAZ

Naturally, the main criterion according to which the choice of tires for a UAZ car will be made is the conditions in which the car is operated. It is no secret that tires, which will become an ideal option in severe off-road conditions, helping the car owner to overcome any obstacles during a hunting or fishing trip, will be different from regular tires. In the first case, you may need tires of special cross-country ability, while in the second case, it is enough.

As practice shows, on the UAZ car, which has retained its primary appearance (the factory car) and has not subsequently undergone alterations, rubber with a height of 29-31.5 inches is installed. Most often, in car markets and in relevant stores, you can find tires that have dimensions:

  • 215 / 90R15;
  • 235 / 85R16;
  • 240 / 80R15.

It should be remembered that it is wise to "dress" the UAZ wheel. In the event of even minor overloads and while driving at high speed, the car's suspension touches the arches. In connection with this feature of the domestic car, when operating the UAZ in medium off-road conditions, it is advisable to worry about raising the suspension by 6–8 cm. Thanks to this simple maneuver, the car owner will be able to “shoe” his car in rubber with greater cross-country ability, for example:

  • 265 / 80R15;
  • 265 / 85R15;
  • 265 / 90R15;
  • 285 / 750R16;
  • 290 / 80R15;
  • 290 / 80R16;
  • 320 / 70R15.

Among other changes that can be overtaken by UAZ, which is regularly operated in strong off-road conditions, it may be necessary to trim the arches. It is worth noting that those car owners who will subsequently drive their UAZ through the wilderness of impassable mud will have to first remake their car, the body, suspension and transmission will be subject to global modifications, first of all. If the owner of this large, ubiquitous car makes all the changes correctly, he will be able to equip his vehicle with tires measuring 35-39 inches.

Rubber, which is suitable for a UAZ car, like other cars, can be summer and, accordingly, winter. In turn, these types are subdivided into the following types:

  • universal (can be used in almost any conditions);
  • mud ( perfect option for medium off-road);
  • extreme (as the name suggests, they can be used on any off-road, where there are no paths or tracks).

Rules for choosing tires for UAZ cars

Any rubber, both mud and universal, must comply with several interrelated factors. The first thing to consider is the SUV model. In practice, completely different tires will be optimal for different car models, the size of which will directly depend on the angle of rotation of the wheels, suspension travel, gift space, strength and power of the gearbox. In practice, many UAZ car owners are trying to do everything possible to remove the restrictions provided by the manufacturer, however, this may require impressive capital. For example, the easiest way is to modify the UAZ "Patriot", since it is on it that you can easily and simply install tires bigger size... Together with the size of the rubber, the ground clearance of the car increases at the same time, in view of this circumstance, it is advisable to "shoe" your vehicle in tires of the maximum size.

Especially in mud, it is very important to pay attention to the level of preparation of the car for off-road conditions. The car owner should be prudent about the design and tread pattern of the tire, since these factors determine the "strength and depth" of the off-road, on which the car will be able to drive in the future. It is advisable to choose a larger tread pattern (most experienced drivers purchase a herringbone pattern, considering it the most suitable choice). For example, when driving in swampy and muddy terrain, it is best to buy the softest mud tire. This type of tire makes it easier to drive, as it does not tear the turf and easily overcomes bumps, taking advantage of the additional grip. Good choice can be called such tires, which are equipped with diagonal grooves that are able to remove dirt, "pushing" it outward when the wheel rotates.

By no means the last factor that you should pay attention to when choosing tires for UAZ is the cost of the product, which, in turn, will depend on the manufacturer (brand promotion), tire size, design and tread pattern.

It is worth noting that it is better to take care of buying the optimal pair of tires in advance, as practice shows, quite often there are only the most popular models on sale, many tires may simply not be available, since they are sold exclusively by prior order.
