The body of the Chevrolet Aveo is a load-bearing, all-metal, welded structure with hinged front fenders, doors, a hood and a trunk lid (tailgate). Windshield and rear glass (tailgate glass) glued in. Chevrolet Aveo Т300, aka Sonic, replaced the Aveo Т250. For the Russian market, it is mainly equipped with a 1.6-liter engine and has been assembled at the GAZ plant since 2012. Weaknesses of the Chevrolet Aveo T300, in most cases, have the same as its predecessor. Sores concern the engine, chassis and interior in terms of extraneous sounds. From old problems, the new generation inherited oil leakage from under the valve cover, this occurs mainly after 30 thousand km. mileage. More often after 10 thousand km. the power steering hose leaks.

In principle, a rather rare case, who will be lucky, is the squeezing out of the oil pressure sensor (as a rule, if it happens, then in the first winter of car operation) and the failure of the ignition module (a symptom is engine tripping).

Chassis: The suspension on the T300 has a low ground clearance (the way out can be the installation of wheels of a larger diameter), it is excessively stiff with a slow shock absorber travel to rebound, this gives a plus to the controllability and stability of the car on a flat road, but as soon as you start driving on "standard Russian" roads, as your fifth point, you feel all the errors of asphalt pavers. Hence, the usefulness of the stabilizer struts is quite small, the "links" begin to knock almost immediately (by the way, in subsequent releases, modified, reinforced ones are installed), in addition to the stabilizer struts, their nuts can be added. It is now advisable to securely fix these nuts or use a thread lock.

Often falls into disrepair.

There are also weak ones rear pillars(as a rule, they flow after 30-50 thousand km. run). What can comfort you in this case? - This is the price of spare parts, which, like the previous Aveo model, can be equated to consumables.

Checkpoint: There are no questions about the automatic transmission from the point of view of reliability, in principle, but the mechanics, unfortunately, did not get any better. If you like to drive by car, then by 20 thousand km. there may be wear on the synchronizers of the first two gears.

Salon: Judging by the numerous reviews of the owners of the Chevrolet Aveo T300, the weak point is the poor sound insulation of the cabin, in principle, this can be fixed by investing a little money. Also, over time, there are squeaks familiar from the Aveo T250 in the cabin. A lot of colored plastic is used in the interior trim, which is very prone to scratches. For everything else, including the design, you can put a plus.

Cooling: Often in the range of 30-60 thousand km, there are problems with. Either it breaks down, or it breaks down, which is built into the thermostat housing.

Electronics: Quite a rare case, in the region of 40 thousand km., Associated with burnout of heated seats. In approximately the same area, heated mirrors may burn out.

Brakes: A common disease in the Chevrolet Aveo T300 is the rattling of the brake calipers. From the factory, the caliper guides are slightly smaller in diameter, as a result of which, over time, they begin to rumble, therefore such a malfunction of the Aveo new can be considered a child's sore. Treatment consists of placing braces. Modified guides together with brackets are supplied in one set. I am glad that official dealer makes a replacement under warranty.

Body: Quality paintwork the bodywork is good. The car is without external damage, very well resistant to metal corrosion. The only thing that was noticed by the weak points of the body is the trunk lid. She, over time, may start to play a little on irregularities, hence the wear of the rubber bands of the seals.

Chevrolet Aveo T300 undoubtedly has its own strengths and weak spots... The Aveo T300 inherited most of the childhood diseases from its predecessor, but there are also new surprises that can manifest themselves. Practice shows that if you follow the car, in the sense of what to do on schedule and not arrange an off-road rally, the Chevrolet Aveo T300 will serve you for a long time. Add a spectacular aggressive appearance, futuristic interior design, you can say the car is worth the money.
