In short, I think either Lopez or Larsen ... ??? What to take? xs ...

I would not say that the lopez has a much worse roll-off than the larsen. He holds it for sure better. It was just that there were all Lopes, Larsen, Holyroller. Larsen is narrower than everyone else, but it's not really visible, it's just that the Lopez has more side spikes and it seems wider. In the city I ride on Holyrollers, their roll is steeper all the same, If there is more soil, then Lopez and Larsen, If mini DH Lopez is behind the Highroller in front.

By the way, I don't really like Larsen's grip on descents, put it on the backside. Although I may be spoiled for soft compound high rollers. They hold a lot better.

Forum about bridgestone sports tourer my-01 - tires - yandex.market

Very good tires.

Value for money - 2.82

The best brakes on the verge of a block on dry asphalt, very good on wet with any braking method, good ride, handling on wet.

Low complex of lateral grip properties and drift characteristics on dry asphalt, high rolling resistance at low speeds.

Amtel Planet 2P

10th place

Manufacturer - Russia

855 points

Tread depth - 7.7 mm

Tire weight - 7.0 kg

Price in Moscow - 1250 rubles.

Value for money - 1.46

Amtel is the leader among post-Soviet tires. What is remarkable about it?

In terms of fuel efficiency, it won over everyone, but this is where, apart from the good smoothness of the ride, the advantages of Amtel end. The noise rating is mediocre.

The handling is at a modest level, the speed at the "rearrangement" is low, on any surface the car behaves "smeared".

It is possible to brake reliably, as on the Kama, only on dry asphalt, and only with a skid. On a wet road, it is better to keep a larger distance, since you have to calculate the braking distance with a margin.

You can move off the asphalt only in dry weather.

The best in terms of economy, decent braking on dry asphalt (per block), good smoothness.

Bad brakes on the verge of slipping on any surface, and skidding on wet asphalt. Loud noise.

Kama 224

11th place

Manufacturer - Russia (NkShZ)

842.4 points

Tread depth - 7.0-8.2 mm

Tire weight - 7.5 kg

Price in Moscow - 1250 rubles.

Value for money - 1.48

Nizhnekamsk also lack stars from the sky, although in the overall standings they are slightly ahead of MShZ and Rosava.

Efficiency "Euro" - at an average level, you can not say about comfort - the tire is hard and noisy.

There are no serious complaints about handling, but there is no enthusiasm either. The lack of information content on the steering wheel did not allow achieving high speed on the "rearrangement".

The brakes are good only on dry asphalt, but only with skidding. Emergency braking without blocking gives a very modest result.

But in terms of cross-country ability - the best. Of course, they do not turn into an all-terrain vehicle "Kalina", but they drive both on a damp dirt road and on wet grass.

Good brakes on dry asphalt with locked wheels, good cross-country ability.

Poor brakes on wet under any type of braking and on dry braking on the verge of blocking, high rolling resistance, hard.

Rosava BC-49

12th place

Manufacturer - Ukraine

804.5 points

Tread depth - 6.4-6.9 mm

Tire weight - 7.4 kg

Price in Moscow - 950 rubles.

Value for money - 1.18

Summer "Rosava" for the first time participates in the tests of the ZR. The level of Ukrainian tires is quite modest - slightly better than Leader, but in general, both outsiders are on the same level. It will not be possible to save fuel on these tires - the consumption is too high. The level of comfort is noticeably better than that of the "Taganka" - the ride is the same, but the "Ukrainians" are much quieter.

Handling scores are the lowest. The Kalina, shod in Rosava, has a slow reaction to steering on dry asphalt, but on wet asphalt you have to turn it very smoothly, otherwise you risk losing grip.

The brakes are effective only when the wheels are locked.

You can only drive on dirt roads on dry land.

Low level noise, not bad brakes"On the block", decent cross-country ability.

Poor handling in extreme modes, poor brakes on the verge of wheel locking, low directional stability.

Taganca M-238 Leader

13th place

Manufacturer - Russia (MShZ)

793 points

Tread depth - 7.5 mm

Tire weight - 7.0 kg

Price in Moscow - 900 rubles.

Value for money - 1.13

Features - asymmetric tread pattern

The only tire that did not score 800 points in the test. Showed only good fuel efficiency. With comfort, the situation is contradictory - the ride is almost good, but the noise is strong, like from winter studded tires. Handling is tolerable only on dry asphalt, on wet "Kalina" unexpectedly breaks into a deep skid, which only a well-trained driver can handle. The brakes are frankly weak.

The peculiarity of these tires is a sharp drop in grip on wet surfaces. Drive off the asphalt with a glance - "Leader" can slip into a slip even on a dry primer.

Good fuel economy, decent ride.

Low grip on wet surfaces, poor brakes and directional stability, loud noise.

Rating table

Za Rulem magazine, March 2006

Tire makers have long caught up with car makers in terms of the speed of new models being introduced to the market. Even specialists are not immediately able to navigate the new products, and even more so, it is difficult for ordinary car enthusiasts.

To facilitate this task, this review-rating of common summer tire models has been prepared. Let's make a reservation right away, if some models are not included in this rating, this does not mean that they are worse than those mentioned. The fact is that some tires have not yet received sufficient distribution in our country and because of this they cannot yet enter the rating.

The main struggle for leadership unfolded between the traditional market leaders Continental, Nokian and Bridgestone. And if the first two brands were long-standing competitors, now Bridgestone has also shown an improvement in the characteristics of its products, approaching the recognized market leaders.

This assessment of summer tires is carried out on a 100-point scale. First of all, we will evaluate driving performance, comfort, as well as technical characteristics and price. We deliberately left aside the design assessment, because, firstly, this question is rather for an amateur, someone likes one tread pattern, another is different. Secondly, now the fashion of ten years ago has passed, when everyone wanted either low-profile protectors, or with a pattern "as on racing cars". Now everyone is interested in more practical questions: how it drives, how it slows down, how long it will take on our roads, etc.

12th place Premiorri Solazo V.

The only serious advantage of this model is the low price achieved through manufacturing in Ukraine. This became possible thanks to the contract between Premiorri and the Ukrainian plant Rosava.

Primiorri Solazo has been produced since 2010, at the same time supplies to the Russian market began.

The car "shod" in Solazo does not give a feeling of comfort, the steering wheel is extremely light, there is absolutely no feedback from the steering wheel. In order to clearly control the lane, you have to make a lot of unnecessary movements and twist the steering wheel to large angles.

With sudden changes of lane, the reaction to the steering wheel is belated, control over handling is reduced, up to a complete loss. Braking is equally hesitant on dry and wet asphalt.

The softness indicators are very good, any irregularities are extinguished, but at the same time the rumble from the tread is very noticeable. Rolling quality is not up to par, in neutral the speed begins to drop rapidly. But when driving on a dirt road, they give a feeling of confidence.

+ Pros: Smooth, soft ride. Clear movement on the dirt road.

- Minuses: Poor road holding. Loses controllability during sharp maneuvering. Increases fuel consumption. Noisy.

These tires should be looked at by supporters of measured driving, who often have to go on unpaved surfaces.

RATING: 80.6 / 100 POINTS

11th place Viatti Strada Asimmetrico V.

The beautiful Italian name did not help Nizhnekamsk producers much, although if we take the price / quality ratio, then Viatti certainly gives good indicators.

Braking is frankly weak, on dry surfaces it wins only against Premiorri and Cordiant, on wet surfaces - an obvious outsider, perhaps a little better than Yokagama. The level of communication with the steering wheel and information content is very similar to the "Premiorri", it also needs constant steering. Although at low speeds the changes are quite clear, especially at the beginning of the maneuver, but at the end there is still a slight skid. On wet asphalt, when changing lanes, you can feel the front end of the car, which requires a quick steering response.

Comfort from "Viatti" is also very doubtful, pulsating noise is constantly heard, the slightest irregularities of the road are transmitted to the body by vibration and jolts. With equal pumping rear wheels seem tougher. Good rolling performance contributes to fuel economy. They are confident on a dirt road.

+ Pros: Confident control of the machine on the dirt road.

- Minuses: Poor grip and poor maneuvering on any surface. Lack of sufficient comfort.

This model is suitable for moderate driving on good roads, and for ground coatings.

RATING: 83/100 POINTS

10th place Yokohama C.drive 2 V.

Despite the average test results, the model made in the Philippines is not offered at an average price, which certainly does not speak in its favor. It appeared on the Russian market since 2010.

Braking performance is almost identical to that shown by Viatti, and on the wet road - an absolute outsider in the rating.

At high speeds, they clearly hold the road, but when maneuvering, there is not enough information content and steering is required. With abrupt rearrangements, there is clearly not enough steering angle, which is why you have to turn the steering wheel to large angles.

At maximum speeds, it gives a deep skid, which can be corrected by a driver with a good reaction.

On a flat road, the tread makes a moderate noise, which increases noticeably on rough asphalt and on small bumps. Vibrations from small irregularities are clearly transmitted to the body.

In terms of rolling measurements, Yokohama tires showed the most best result, at any speed give good fuel economy. Demonstrate uncertain behavior on a dirt road.

+ Pros: Thanks to good rolling, it saves fuel at any speed. Good stability.

- Minuses: Very poor braking on wet roads, poor handling during emergency maneuvers.

These tires will be appreciated by those for whom fuel economy is important.

RATING: 83.9 / 100 POINTS

9th place Cordiant Sport 2 (PS-501) V.

The model is a domestic development, with a good price / quality ratio.

"Cordiant-Sport 2" first appeared on sale in 2010, then it was replaced in 2012 by a modernized version.

The tires showed the worst braking performance on dry roads. The difference in stopping distance between the leader of the test and "Kordiant" was almost 6 meters. At the same time, on wet surfaces, the performance is noticeably better and can qualify for a satisfactory assessment.

At high speeds, they confidently keep a straight line, but the information content is still not enough, moreover, there is a delay in the reactions.

On a dry road, extreme maneuvering at medium speeds is possible, attempts to do it at a higher speed are very difficult due to low information content and increased steering angles. When maneuvering on wet asphalt, at the beginning, the front wheels slip outward, as if straightening the trajectory, because of this, you have to turn the steering wheel to the desired angle, which again is not just due to poor information content.

Tires dampen large irregularities well, but on medium-sized ones, they transmit shaking to the body. And with small cracks or roughness, they begin to make a distinct noise.

They roll badly, which negatively affects fuel consumption. Driving on a dirt road with Cordiant-Sport 2 is a dubious pleasure.

+ Pros: Quite passable handling and directional stability on dry surfaces. Comfortable enough movement.

- Minuses: Very inconclusive dry braking and heavy maneuvering on wet asphalt. Increases fuel consumption.

Suitable for city driving, with trips to the suburbs.

RATING: 85.7 / 100 POINTS

8th place Goodyear EfficientGrip V.

The French model did not receive a higher rating primarily due to the high price.

This Goodear model has been produced since 2009, and entered the Russian market in 2010.

Braking ratings are quite good. On both wet and dry asphalt, the average performance of the tested tires was obtained.

At high speeds, the car "floats" slightly, alignment is difficult due to the lagging steering wheel.

What you should definitely not do on these tires is sudden changes of lanes. On dry surfaces, you have to limit the speed due to the noticeable drift of the front wheels at the beginning of the maneuver and skidding of the rear at the end. On a wet surface, the situation is a little better, but the picture is spoiled by large turning angles and sharp breaks into a skid when exiting it.

The tires demonstrated the traditional Goodyear level of comfort, with a soft and quiet ride. "Efficient" help to save fuel, especially in the suburban driving cycle. Departure on a primer without special need is not recommended.

+ Pros: Excellent level of comfort, fuel economy when traveling out of town.

- Minuses: Directional stability is below average, heavy handling during extreme maneuvers.

Goodyear Efficiency Grip is well suited for lovers of comfortable and economical driving.

RATING: 87.1 / 100 POINTS

7th place Dunlop SP Sport 9000 W.

This japanese model has already become a veteran in our tire market, but at the same time, it is still in considerable demand.

Braking performance on dry roads is below average, and even less on wet ones. Only Yokohama and Viatti have worse performance.

At high speeds, it keeps its course perfectly. The main distinguishing feature of the Dunlop SP Sport is clear reactions to the steering wheel, it is very easy to adjust the course. On dry surfaces, sharp maneuvers can be carried out at medium speed. It instantly reacts to the steering wheel at the beginning of the maneuver, although then there is a slight demolition of the front end, with a simultaneous drop in the steering information content. On wet roads, maneuverability is improved and emergency lane changes can be made at higher speeds. However, when the maximum speed is exceeded, a slide off the course occurs, and simultaneously on both axes. After drifting or skidding, adhesion to the surface is quickly restored.

The level of driving comfort with Dunlop is low, the tread rustles clearly, the noise increases noticeably on rough asphalt. Any minor irregularities in the road are transmitted to the body.

The tires showed good rolling performance. Provide confident movement on the dirt road.

+ Pros: High directional stability at high speeds, excellent movement on a dirt road. Provides an economical ride.

- Minuses: Bad level comfort. Poor braking on wet asphalt.

These tires are perfect for long journeys on roads with smooth and hard surfaces.

RATING: 87.6 / 100 POINTS

6th place Hankook Ventus Prime 2 (К 115) V.

Hungarian tires have shown good performance and in all fairness we can say that it is from their 6th place that the elite group of very good tires begins.

Tires are new to Russian market, the start of sales started in 2012.

Ventus Prime have demonstrated excellent braking qualities, especially well proved to be on the wet road, on dry surfaces a little weaker, but still quite good.

Keeping course well at high speeds, however, slightly lacking information for heading corrections. Another "sin" is the delay in steering response. On dry pavement, maneuvers at speeds above average are permissible. Light drifts at the exit from the maneuver are leveled out quite simply. A wet road has practically no negative impact on the nature of the management and the success of rebuilding.

The tires are quite noisy; when driving at speeds above 80 km / h, the feeling of riding on all-terrain treads is created. Ventus Prime behaves tough on all surfaces and increases fuel consumption at all speeds. The indicators of movement on the primer are average.

+ Pros: Brakes well on any surface. Demonstrates stable handling.

- Minuses: Increases fuel consumption. Notes on noise comfort and directional stability.

Good tires for paved roads.

RATING: 89.9 / 100 POINTS

5th place Toyo Praxes T1 Sport W.

This Japanese manufacturer has repeatedly proven the success of its brand, which is invariably present in the top of many tire ratings.

The model has been presented in Russia since the end of 2009.

Braking distances on dry roads are average and above average on wet asphalt.

Directional stability at high speeds is good, the tires give ease of course corrections and smoothness when changing lanes. The steering response is crisp and the steering angles are small. A wet coating practically does not change the characteristics, only a slightly faster reaction is required with extreme drift.

Toyo Praxes tires are quite quiet, only when driving on rough asphalt they become a little louder. Small irregularities in the road give off vibrations to the body. Fuel consumption readings are average, with increasing speeds they increase consumption. Driving on a dirt road is average.

+ Pros: Stable handling on dry and wet surfaces.

- Minuses: Increased fuel consumption during out-of-town trips. Minor complaints about ride and noise.

Good tires for mixed highway / city driving.

RATING: 91.5 / 100 POINTS

4th place Michelin Primacy HP V.

The German brand, as always, is at its best and, despite the sufficient age of the model of about 8 years, is still in demand.

The model demonstrates excellent braking performance, similar to the previous model in the rating. Performance is slightly weaker than Toyo's on wet roads and slightly better on dry.

The tires hold the direction well and provide adequate reactions when adjusting the course.

On a dry road, he demonstrates clear behavior with clear reactions. On wet surfaces, the performance drops slightly. By avoiding sudden steering movements, drifts will be minimized.

When driving on a good road, no extraneous noise is emitted. Irregularities and road joints are reflected on the body by sudden jerks.

Help conserve fuel during moderate driving. When driving on the highway, they give average indicators of efficiency. The primer is medium tolerated.

+ Pros: Stable handling. Fuel economy.

- Minuses: Minor complaints about ride and noise.

Suitable for urban and suburban use.

RATING: 91.7 / 100 POINTS

3rd place Pirelli Cinturato P7 V.

An excellent Romanian model, slightly surrendering its last year's positions in front of the newcomers, but still remaining on the podium. In addition, it is the most best model in terms of price / quality ratio. Pirelli Cinturato has been sold in Russia since 2010.

The tires show excellent braking performance, especially on wet surfaces.

There are no complaints about directional stability at high speeds. They allow you to make maneuvers at high speeds, on dry roads they allow you to make sharp lane changes.

The driving style and the lack of surprises are reminiscent of Michelin and Bridgestone. Demonstrate high speed on wet asphalt, only half a kilometer was not enough to reach a record this test... The reactions on the steering wheel are very clear, if not for the sharp drifts at the exit from the turn, there could be a maximum score.

Pirelli Cinturato are a little noisy, they spank at the joints. Small irregularities are transmitted to the body. Regardless of the driving mode, they have no particular effect on consumption or fuel economy. Not very suitable for priming.

+ Pros: They brake well on any surface. Provide good handling.

- Minuses: High noise level, not very smooth running.

An excellent choice for dynamic drivers, as well as for frequent out-of-town trips.

RATING: 91.9 / 100 POINTS

2nd place Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 V.

Fresh French model on the Russian market with a good price / quality ratio.

Record braking results on all types of asphalt. The difference in stopping distance between the outsider of the test "Kordiant" and "Conti Premium" was about 6 meters, with "Yokohama" more than 5 meters.

The tires allow for extreme maneuvers at high speeds, and the steering wheel provides clear and crisp responses. Characteristic feature"Continental" are large steering angles, which decrease as the tires warm up.

Wet surface does not negatively affect speed performance.

The tires have demonstrated excellent comfort, perfectly dampen irregularities and noise from the road. They give a good combination of soft yet firm driving.

The rolling level is average, roughly comparable to the Pirelli. Not suitable for ground coats.

+ Pros: Best braking performance on any road, excellent comfort.

- Minuses: Notes on handling extreme driving on dry roads.

The average price in Russia is 4800 rubles.

The best tire in terms of braking performance.

RATING: 93.5 / 100 POINTS

1st place Bridgestone Potenza S001V.

Deserved place of the Japanese model.

Demonstrates excellent braking performance on all types of asphalt. The truth is slightly inferior to the "Continental" on dry, only a little bit, and on wet 1 meter.

The Bridgesone Potenza shows good directional stability, the same as the Dunlop. A characteristic feature of this model is a very clear response to course corrections. Absolute winner of the extreme maneuvering speed competition, on dry and wet asphalt. It should be noted the high degree of information content of the steering wheel, especially on a wet road.

Unfortunately, comfort falls short of the high level of driving performance. Irregularities and joints give off noises, rustling is clearly audible on the rough asphalt.

The rolling indicators are the same as those of the Continental and Pirelli, there is no particular savings, but they also do not add to fuel consumption. Not very suitable for priming.

+ Pros: Highly good braking... Clear directional stability, high speed maneuvers.

- Minuses: The tires are noisy and harsh.

Perfect for country driving, on quality paved roads. Will appeal to fans of extreme driving.

RATING: 93.6 / 100 POINTS

Changing tires is a mandatory procedure that motorists undergo twice a year.

Finding tons of tips on how to choose winter or summer tires is easy. You can also ask the seller which rubber is best for cold or hot weather. However, there is one feature that is very often overlooked: the fact is that in the summer season, a lot of people go to the country. Accordingly, the asphalt is replaced by a dirt road. And this leaves a certain imprint on choosing the right tires.

Important rules for choosing tires for city and country trips

When planning to drive on dirt and asphalt roads, it is very important to choose "fresh" rubber that will last a long time and will not crack from temperature extremes. The manufacturer must indicate the stamping date. If the seller hides it for some reason, then the fresher product can be identified by its color - it will be saturated black. The shade of old rubber becomes recognizable gray. For active summer trips, you need tires no more than a year old.

Choosing a tread pattern for summer

Sellers now offer three options for summer protectors:

  • asymmetric;
  • symmetrical directional;
  • symmetrical non-directional.

The asymmetrical pattern with deep grooves allows for good grip on the asphalt road. Moreover, if it suddenly rains, it is better to reduce the speed to a minimum, such a protector does not remove water from under the wheels. Symmetrical tires with non-directional patterns are good against aquaplaning. However, it is they who behave badly on unpaved tracks, since dirt is stuffed into the grooves, small stones get there, which get stuck in the gaps and reduce traction. Tires with directional symmetrical patterns will be somewhat more comfortable. For such

With the arrival of heat, the question of buying good summer tires becomes urgent. And since the cost of even the most budgetary kit will require considerable investment, it makes sense to seriously approach the choice of a new rubber.

How to determine which summer tires are best

It is important to be aware of the fact that there is no single recipe for choosing the perfect tires. After all, cars are operated in various climatic conditions: for some, the average air temperature from April to October is 20ºC, while for others it is only 12ºC; somewhere all summer it is cloudy, it often rains, and somewhere during the months not a drop will fall.

Similarly, the choice is influenced by such moments as the condition of the roads, the degree of risk of getting the wheel into a hole with sharp edges, or hitting the curb. It also matters how often vehicle conquers off-road sections, drives on dirt, gravel roads, etc. In addition, the cost will play an important role in the purchase of summer tires.

We look at the protector

There are three main groups of mass tire treads for passenger cars:

  • Non-directional drawing. It is also called classic, since this format was previously the main one on the market. This protector is versatile, it makes no difference in which direction the car is moving. Accordingly, there are no requirements for observance of the orientation when installing the wheel. Tires cope well with dirt roads, mud, but have weakness in the form of a tendency to aquaplaning and noise. As a rule, the non-directional pattern is used in the development of budget tire models.

  • Directional drawing. Has a special marking indicating the direction of rotation. A clear plus is the effective removal of road water along the grooves from the contact zone. The group is divided into two subgroups: symmetrical directional pattern and asymmetric directional pattern. In any case it is a good choice for highway driving: acoustic comfort, fuel efficiency, straight line stability.
  • Asymmetrical non-directional pattern. Usually the outer part of the tread is stiffened. Designed for extreme driving conditions, offering high stability under high side loads.

The most inexpensive models for Russian roads: Cordiant, Nordman, etc.

Many car enthusiasts when choosing a kit summer tires first of all, they pay attention to the price, and only then to the characteristics of the products. However, you should not think that in price segment"Low-cost" is all so bad with the ability to keep the car on the road.

Cordiant Sport 3 (Russia), from 2300 rub. for dimension 195/65 R15

The tread has an asymmetric non-directional pattern with an abundance of grooves to drain water from the contact area (WET-COR technology), which is a good anti-aquaplaning feature. Also implemented is the proprietary DRY-COR technology, which prevents the tires from slipping and deforming in corners. There are nine sizes to choose from for R15 and R16.

Nordman SX (Russia), from 2000 rubles. for dimension 185/60 R14

A group of specialists from Finland and the Amtel company worked on the model. The tread is asymmetrical, a network of grooves is provided for water drainage. According to consumer reviews, the tire is moderately quiet, behaves well on the ground, and is stable at high speeds. As the numbers inscribed on the central rib, the driver can judge the state of the tread. At the same time, many people note the hardness of the rubber compound, increased wear (with intensive driving, only two seasons last), as well as the destruction of individual pieces of the tread. The extensive range of sizes includes popular options for wheels ranging from 13 to 18 inches.

Formula Energy (Italy), from 2600 rub. for dimension 185/65 R15

The tire was developed by Italian specialists Pirelli, it is characterized by a low level of internal noise (1 dB), good stability on a straight line and a reduced weight (on average by 10%). The tread has an asymmetrical pattern. According to the manufacturer, this is a summer model for sports cars (speed index: from T (190 km / h) to Y (300 km / h). Among the main complaints caused by the model from drivers, it is worth noting a weak grip in corners.

Yokohama Bluearth (Japan), from 2900 rub. for dimension 205/55 R16

In terms of their characteristics, the tires are not inferior to the products of the Bridgestone brand, but at the same time they are 15-20% cheaper. The model is equipped with a symmetrical non-directional tread and demonstrates high stability when shifting on a wet track. Experts also note excellent braking performance indicators. Another pleasantness - low consumption fuel. Available in sizes from R13 to R16. Some drivers complain about the excessive rigidity during the tire break-in phase.

Trying to compare good firms in terms of quality and price

The middle and upper price ranges are mainly occupied by the products of world famous brands. The top three are traditionally held by the following brands: Goodyear, Michelin and Bridgestone. Nokian catches up with them by leaps and bounds.

Michelin Primacy 3 (France), from 3800 rub. for dimension 205/55 R16

The tires are sharpened for the reference behavior on dry asphalt and wet roads with puddles, they are distinguished by excellent performance in the context of the braking distance, they are not prone to aquaplaning. The presence of five longitudinal ribs provides good stability on a straight line. Another advantage of the tire is its unique rubber compound. The consumer gets a quiet, comfortable and durable rubber. The only drawback is the thin sidewalls.

Nokian Hakka Blue (Finland), from 5100 rub. per dimension 215/60 R16

Finnish tire, perfectly adapted for Russian operating conditions. Among the features of the products should be highlighted: a unique system of sipes Dry Touch Suction Sipe for suction and effective drainage of water in the contact area, benchmarks for braking, maneuvering and straight-line motion at high speed. An added bonus of the Hakka Blue is the best-in-class efficiency ratio. There are radii from 15 to 18 inches.

The optimal brand of summer tires for Ford Focus 2

On the Ford Focus 2, thrifty owners prefer to buy budget tires Amtel Planet 195/65 R15 (1800 rubles): symmetrical directional tread pattern; a trade-off between cost, handling and braking performance. In search of better tire performance, it is better to take a closer look at the Hankook K115 Ventus Prime 2 205/55 R16 (RUB 3700), which are distinguished by an asymmetric tread pattern, good behavior on both dry and wet tracks, and excellent acoustic comfort.

What to choose on Renault Logan: owner reviews

For the "fourteenth" diameter, Renault Logan owners often recommend domestic tires Kama Euro 129 175/70 R14. Of the product features, it is worth highlighting the budget cost (1300 rubles), coupled with good acoustic comfort and resistance to aquaplaning. Of the more expensive options, for configurations with 15-inch wheels, are popular Bridgestone tires Turanza T001 195/60 R15 (speed index: V - up to 240 km / h). In their asset: low rolling resistance, uniform tread wear, asymmetric pattern with good resistance to aquaplaning.

Which manufacturer's tires are better to buy on Prioru in 2016

Among Prior owners, both inexpensive domestic products are in demand, for example, Amtel Planet DC 185/65 R14 (1800 rubles) or Cordiant Standard RG1 185/65 R14 (1900 rubles), and tires of foreign brands. For example, the Japanese Yokohama A.Drive AA01 185/65 R14 (2200 rubles) differs from its competitors in its unique Slim Long tread and a universal chemical composition that retains its effectiveness both in the rain and in the scorching heat.

The website of the Federal Patent Service continues to be the only open source of information about the "car for the president." First, NAMI patented industrial models of two cars - a limousine and a crossover, which are part of the "Cortege" project. Then the namishniki registered an industrial design called "Car dashboard" (most likely, namely ...

GMC SUV turned into a sports car

Hennessey Performance has always been famous for its ability to generously add additional horses to a "pumped" car, but this time the Americans were clearly being modest. GMC Yukon Denali could turn into a real monster, fortunately, that the 6.2-liter "eight" allows you to do this, but Hennessey minders limited themselves to a rather modest "bonus", increasing the engine power ...

New Kia sedan will be called Stinger

Kia unveiled the Kia GT concept sedan at the Frankfurt Motor Show five years ago. True, the Koreans themselves called it a four-door sports coupe and hinted that this car could become a more affordable alternative to the Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7. And so, five years later, the Kia GT concept car morphed into the Kia Stinger. Judging by the photo ...

In Germany, snails caused an accident

During mass migration, snails crossed the Autobahn near the German city of Paderborn at night. By early morning, the road did not have time to dry from the mucus of the mollusks, which caused the accident: the Trabant car skidded on the wet asphalt, and it turned over. According to The Local, the car, which the German press ironically calls “the diamond in the crown of the German ...

Fourteen-inch tires in Russia are gaining more and more popularity, and new items in this size appear much more often than 13-inch tires.

Today we are introducing you to the test results of summer tires of size 185 / 60R14 with speed index "H" (210 km / h). But first, a few words about the equipment, without which full-fledged tests would be impossible.

The magazine has written more than once about the features of light-alloy wheels (or rather wheels, but tradition!). Now let's look at them from the point of view of tire testers. For ten years now, we have been mounting tires for testing on aluminum alloy rims. First produced by K & K, then by Vikom, and now RW brand wheels are in our field of vision. But why do we prefer light-alloy ones?

Try to mount-unmount the tire several times on a regular steel rim. Even with professional tire changers, scratches on the rim edges cannot be avoided. Over time, these places will be decorated with corrosion, and every year or two the discs will have to be cleaned, primed and painted.

The second reason: light-alloy wheels are made, as a rule, much more accurate, so with them there is less measurement error when testing tires.

The third reason: light-alloy wheels better dissipate heat from the brakes through the hub part - that's why with repeated braking on the verge of skidding or using ABS, the results are more stable.

The next criterion is that the discs are more convenient for washing. It is one thing to wash four wheels, and quite another to wash sixty.

The fifth trick - we choose discs with a flat hub part or with the smallest wells for fastening bolts - otherwise it is inconvenient to bait them. And although we now replace the bolts with studs with nuts on the carrier vehicle, we still avoid deep wells.

Over the years of intensive use, we have not found any flaws in the K&K and Vicom drives. We hope that RW will also be at its best. In any case, there were no complaints about them at the first, summer stage.

The test methodology has also undergone minor changes. First, to traditional braking with locked wheels ( domestic cars until, unfortunately, they are not equipped with ABS), we added braking on the verge of skidding: on dry asphalt - from a speed of 100 km / h, on wet - from 80 km / h.

The second addition - at the request of readers, they introduced an assessment of the performance of tires on a dirt road. This indicator is not included in the overall standings, it only serves additional information for those whose routes go not only on asphalt.

The tests were carried out on a Kalina hatchback (VAZ-11193), which should go on sale this year.

The general impression of the move from 13 inches to 14 inches is that the handling has improved - it is no coincidence that its scores are generally higher than in last year's 175 / 75R13 tire test. However, there is also a minus - tires of an increased dimension are stiffer and noisier - the low (less energy-intensive) sidewall and a wide contact patch affect. However, it is thanks to the latter feature that braking on these tires is more effective.

Those who only plan to put 14 instead of 13 inches for the summer should keep in mind that they will pay for the improvement of grip with a decrease in comfort, first of all, in ride quality. In addition, tires and wheels "14" are significantly more expensive.

Let's summarize the results obtained and, on their basis, try to analyze the situation on the tire market. An interesting observation - Bridgestone is beginning to lag behind famous brands such as Michelin, Continental and Pirelli. Even "Yokohama" and "Toyo" are gradually overtaking the eminent compatriot. It is also obvious that the Finnish Nokian is moving to the forefront. Russian manufacturers are slowly but surely improving their summer products. Amtel is the leader in the home market.

Imported tires are mainly focused on cars with ABS, therefore they are less willing to brake with a skid. Nevertheless, there are those that effectively slow down in any way.

All tire manufacturers, including Russian ones, are fighting for the stability of grip properties and their proximity on dry and wet surfaces. But the achievements are not the same for everyone. There is one more trend noted last year. Improved grip on asphalt leads to deterioration on dirt roads and grass. Mushroom pickers, berry farmers and summer residents living in the outback should take a closer look at the tires of the "m + s" category.

Nokian NRHi ecosport

1st place

Manufacturer - Finland
922.1 points
Tread depth - 7.4-8.7 mm
Tire weight - 6.8 kg
Price in Moscow - 2600 rubles.
Value for money - 2.82

Finnish producers are very good winter tires got their way] - 2590 rubles.
Value for money - 2.81

Summer Michelin just falls short of first place. It is surprisingly well balanced - no bright bursts, no obvious dips. Economy - excellent, in terms of comfort - the best (sharing this place with the "Bridge"). The handling is good on wet asphalt, and even better on dry! Exchange rate stability - no comments. The brakes are especially good on wet, although dry is great - but here and there on the verge of a block. Alas, the ABS-oriented tires are a weak link by Russian standards! Especially sharply they break into a block in the most innocuous situation - on dry asphalt. The primer, as well as for "Pirelli", is allowed in limited doses.
Excellent brakes on the verge of blocking, a complex of lateral grip properties and driving characteristics, high efficiency and comfort.
Weak skid braking.
Highly recommended for asphalt roads for those who like comfortable and economical driving. The brakes are most effective with ABS.

Pirelli P6

3rd place

Manufacturer - Spain
918.5 points
Tread depth - 8.5 mm
Tire weight - 7.5 kg
Price in Moscow - 2500 rubles.
Value for money - 2.72

Like Yokohama, Pirelli gravitates towards sports.
For such tires, efficiency is not the main thing, apparently because here they go in the middle peasants.
Ride and noise are also sacrificed for handling and directional stability. The record holder for speed on the "rearrangement". The difference from Yokohama is that the grip and behavior are more stable regardless of the condition of the coating.
The brakes are excellent on the verge of blocking, although having slipped into a slip, they stop the car well. It is noteworthy that the blocking edge feels very good on dry and wet asphalt.
The deep tread will provide long-term stability of performance parameters.
You can move along the primer, but carefully and in the absence of rain.
The best brakes on the verge of slipping, excellent handling and directional stability on any surface.
Low comfort.
We strongly recommend fans of a sporty driving style on asphalt in any weather.

Continental ContiEcoContact 3

4th place

Manufacturer - Germany
911.3 points
Tire weight - 6.9 kg
Price in Moscow - 2300 rubles.
Value for money - 2.52

"Eco Conti" is not particularly economical, although in last year's test the same tires in the 13-inch version were in the lead here, and the overall results were better.
In terms of comfort, "Conti" are very similar to "Toyo". Small remarks only to the smoothness of the course.
There are no complaints about controllability. "Kalina" clearly performs the "rearrangement". True, on wet asphalt there is a little lack of information content - only for this reason they could not develop a higher speed.
The brakes are great! The best in gliding, but on the verge of skidding, they are not inferior to anyone.
The primer is not for these tires, good asphalt is more suitable for them.
The best in skid braking on any asphalt, very good and on the edge, good handling and directional stability.
Small remarks on the smoothness of the ride.
Especially recommended for asphalt roads with different driving styles.

Yokohama A539

5th place

Manufacturer - Japan
908.8 points
Tire weight - 7.4 kg
Price in Moscow - RUB 2395 *
Value for money - 2.64
Features - asymmetric tread pattern

А539 - tires of sport orientation. This is what you will get maximum pleasure from active driving! Somewhat more economical than Toyo, but lacking comfort - very hard, shaking and noisy. But all this can be forgiven for the excellent handling and excellent directional stability. Kalina performs the "rearrangement" on dry asphalt just fine! Even in sliding, the car is very predictable. The behavior on the wet is not so polished, but without remarks. The dry brakes are perhaps the best. It is noteworthy that any method of braking gives excellent results. True, on a wet one - only an average level.
There is some deterioration in grip on wet asphalt.
The best brakes on dry asphalt with any kind of braking, the best handling on dry asphalt, very good directional stability on a straight line.
Medium wet brakes, low comfort.
We especially recommend to fans of fast driving on dry asphalt.

Toyo Proxes CF 1

6th place

Manufacturer - Japan
903.3 points
Tread depth - 6.9-7.6 mm
Tire weight - 7.0 kg
Price in Moscow - 1920 rubles.
Value for money - 2.13
Features - asymmetric tread pattern

Unlike Bridgestone, these "Japanese" crossed the 900-point threshold - an excellent result for the "second line" brand.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Toyo is average, and in terms of comfort it is similar to the Kleber (the Japanese seemed quieter).
The handling is good and stable on any surface. The brakes on a wet one are even slightly better than on a dry one (on the "rearrangement" the same alignment), and the spread with different methods of braking is less than that of the "Bridgestone".
In general, the tires are fairly flat, without dips or splashes.
We advise you to move down to the dirt road, as well as on "Kleber", only where there are no steep climbs and humidity.
Best wet brakes with locked wheels, very good on any surface when braking on the edge, handling is good and stable on any surface.
Modest runout.
Highly recommended as an all-weather tire for good asphalt roads.

Bridgestone Turanza GR-80

7th place

Manufacturer - Japan
898.8 points
Tread depth - 7.5 mm
Tire weight - 8.4 kg
Price in Moscow - 2490 * rubles.
Value for money - 2.77
Features - directional tread pattern

Something strange has been happening with the tires of this brand lately. And not only in formula 1. The most voracious and the most difficult. Perhaps they are very durable and are not afraid of road holes and rubbing against curbs. Nevertheless, in terms of comfort, one of the best. Handling on dry pavement is better than on wet pavement, where a quick turn of the steering wheel is fraught with wheel breakdown. The brakes on dry surfaces are noticeably better than on wet ones. The same pattern is applied to the "rearrangement".
The peculiarity of tires is a decrease in grip on wet asphalt.
Driving on a dirt road is acceptable but not desirable.
Excellent brakes on dry (on the verge), excellent handling on dry asphalt and good on wet, high level of comfort.
High consumption fuel at low and medium speeds.
Recommended for lovers of comfortable driving for asphalt roads.
* Manufacturer's recommended price.

Kleber Dynaxer HP 2

8th place

Manufacturer - France
882.2 points
Tread depth - 7.6 mm
Tire weight - 6.8 kg
Price in Moscow - 2200 rubles.
Value for money - 2.49

On smooth roads, small errors in ride smoothness and noise are unlikely to appear; on mediocre surfaces, the tires' low ability to smooth out small irregularities is annoying.
Handling without remarks and preferences for the surface is good and stable both on dry and wet.
The brakes are effective only on the verge of skidding. On dry asphalt, its edge is felt very well, but on wet tires they break off abruptly, in addition, they noticeably lose in the braking distance to their closest competitors.
It is better not to move off the asphalt] - 2400 rubles.
Value for money - 2.72
Features - asymmetric tread pattern

These tires won't help you set a record in fuel economy, but they won't ruin your fuel economy either. The comfort is quite decent, especially the smoothness of the ride. Somewhat annoying squeak at the beginning of tire slippage when starting and braking. However, someone might like it. On flooded asphalt "Kalina" handles better than on wet or dry. Brakes on the verge of skidding on dry asphalt are the best, on wet in the same mode they are also good. By the way, the edge of wheel blocking on wet asphalt is felt just fine. Driving on a dirt road is possible only in dry weather.
The best brakes on the verge of a block on dry asphalt, very good on wet with any braking method, good ride, handling on wet.
Low complex of lateral grip properties and drift characteristics on dry asphalt, high rolling resistance at low speeds.
Recommended only for asphalt roads.

Loud noise.
Recommended for those who love economical driving.

Kama Euro 224

11th place

Manufacturer - Russia (NkShZ)
842.4 points
Tread depth - 7.0-8.2 mm
Tire weight - 7.5 kg
Price in Moscow - 1250 rubles.
Value for money - 1.48

Nizhnekamsk also lack stars from the sky, although in the overall standings they are slightly ahead of MShZ and Rosava.
Efficiency "Euro" - at an average level, which can not be said about comfort - the tire is hard and noisy.
Recommended for all roads.

Low noise level, good brakes "on the block", decent cross-country ability.
Poor handling in extreme modes, poor brakes on the verge of wheel locking, low directional stability.
Recommended for all roads with careful driving.

Taganca M-238 Leader

13th place

Manufacturer - Russia (MShZ)
793 points
Tread depth - 7.5 mm
Tire weight - 7.0 kg
Price in Moscow - 900 rubles.
Value for money - 1.13
Features - asymmetric tread pattern

The only tire that did not score 800 points in the test. Showed only good fuel efficiency. With comfort, the situation is contradictory - the ride is almost good, but the noise is the strongest, like from winter studded tires.
Recommended for economical unhurried driving - and more careful on wet!
