What Renault Fluence is, including in terms of second hand, we. But then it was a question of a model released before restyling, while the version of interest to our reader has certain differences just as far as the engine and transmission are concerned. Let's dwell on them.

Since we are talking about buying a fairly "fresh" car, you don't have to worry too much about the residual resource of the engines: no global problems have been noted, although there may already be minor questions. So, although the engines are simple, they are demanding on the quality of fuel. For example, flushing may be required over time throttle and fuel injectors.

Both engines have a timing chain drive, which eliminates the need to replace the kit immediately after buying a used car, but does not guarantee that this operation will not have to be spent in the more or less foreseeable future. The problem is that the chain can stretch even after 120-150 thousand kilometers.

There are nuances with the maintenance of motors. On a 1.6-liter, replacing the spark plugs will require dismantling the throttle body and plastic intake manifold, which complicates (and increases the cost) of an ordinary, in general, operation. On the 2.0-liter version, everything is simpler, but the devil is in the little things: here it is important to strictly observe the tightening torque of new candles, otherwise there is a risk of "getting" for repairs, or even replacement of the cylinder head!

However, the main consideration when buying should still be given to the transmission. Fluence is set to adaptive X-Tronic variator(Jatco JF011E) with the ability to manually shift six fixed gear ratios. What this unit is, we, therefore, here are only the main points.

First of all, and this is the most important thing, experts estimate the service life of this variator in the region of 200-250 thousand km. Among typical problems Jatco JF011E can be attributed to premature wear of pulleys and their bearings, malfunction pressure reducing valve oil pump, as well as a step motor responsible for adjusting gear ratio... Delaying the moment of the onset of an expensive repair can be a careful driving style, which excludes a sharp change in speed (acceleration and deceleration), as well as timely maintenance of the variator in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Renault Fluence is a compact car created by Renault. The car entered the market in 2009, replacing the outdated Renault Megane. Fluence has a Nissan C base, which makes it related not only with Renault Megane but also with Renault Scenic.

How to clear errors in processor memory?
