Summer passenger tire Dunlop SP Sport 01 is addressed to drivers who prefer aggressive driving style. At the same time, the make and model of the car practically does not matter, since this model is produced in an extremely wide range of standard sizes with a diameter from 14 to 21 inches.

Especially for this tire, the company's specialists have developed a completely new asymmetric tread pattern called Tri-AreaTread. As the name suggests, the tread pattern consists of three functional zones, each of which is designed to solve a specific task. Such a constructive solution is designed to provide optimal balance performance when driving in various road conditions.

Central part of the tread Dunlop SP Sport 01 occupied by four longitudinal ribs, which are characterized by a solid, and therefore rigid structure. As a result, the tire exhibits exceptional driving stability even at very high speeds.

The shoulder area of the tread, located on its inner side, mainly serves as a drainage function, providing high resistance to aquaplaning. It is this part of the tread that is equipped with the so-called "hydraulic blades", i.e. a system of drainage channels, the shape of which resembles blades. Their curved shape prevents the formation of turbulence in water flows, which increases the speed of its passage through these channels.

The outer side of the tread pattern consists of separate blocks. Their sharp edges help improve braking performance, especially on slippery roads.
Another innovation is an additional layer of the frame made of nylon fibers, wound using a seamless technology. This layer provides, due to the stability of the tire shape, a more uniform distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, which not only allowed to achieve more confident behavior at high speeds, but also effectively prevents the occurrence of uneven wear.

Main features of the Dunlop SP Sport 01 tire

- Unique Tri-AreaTread tread provides the perfect balance of performance regardless of road conditions;
- Exceptional resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the special shape of the drainage channels in the shoulder area of the tread;
- Four rigid longitudinal ribs, due to which the tire exhibits exceptional driving stability even at very high speeds.

* Attention: summer tires of non-Russian origin may be marked with the designation M + S

Dignity

Little experience, but during this time there were no complaints. Quiet, comfortable, no cuts or punctures. In turns, it keeps even, in a rut it is not very stormy.

disadvantages

Not seen.

The driving style is moderate, fast acceleration and not harsh braking. In turns without skidding. Therefore, it is difficult to talk about the sporting qualities of rubber.

Dignity

Quiet, comfort

Took on F25 performed by Ranflet in the 17th radius. For this car is a great choice. Absolutely no negative run-flat feel (on this car and at this size), no hums, no noises, no woody sensations. Excellent combination of price / quality. For sports qualities I will not say, since a high profile and high car is not a priori sport. But in regular and moderately active driving modes - the tire rides like the car itself - as expected. An interesting review on the analogue of this tire - Pirelli Centurato P7. Who put it in the amount of 225/60/17, unsubscribe, are the feelings just as good and positive?

Dignity

Compared to the regular continental, I can't say anything bad. The noise is not stronger, the road is kept both dry and wet. The brakes are good. What I noticed is that it is more difficult to put them into axle boxes on dry asphalt and I like it.

disadvantages

I did not notice any obvious shortcomings. True, the production of these tires is Indonesia, I don’t know if this is a disadvantage.

They are definitely worth their money.

Dignity

Price / quality are comparable. For a budget car, it suits quite well. For riders, look for a higher price.

disadvantages

While driving, I did not notice much. Everything was normal with optimal and not high-speed driving.

I advise for calm drivers.

Dignity

Soft, holds well on the road, as well as in honey season

disadvantages

Rubber departed 100 thousand km. It could have been more, but it became uncomfortable in the rain. Breaks into aquaplaning at a speed of 90 km / h. She showed herself perfectly in the offseason. You can change your shoes a little earlier in the spring and later in the fall. That is, do not rub the thorns. Very pleased with the rubber. I buy a new one the same.

Dignity

Handling without any problems at all, that on a dry surface, that on a wet one, and in the spring I got into an unexpected snowstorm, rolled the ice crust in general in a fell swoop, at first it rotted slightly, and then I was just shocked that the rubber made it possible not just to calmly ride in a similar situations, and not even worry about anything when he started to greet speed mode... So I want to say that a very decent tire is definitely worth the money, and even better than many of those that will be more expensive by 1.5 times !!!

disadvantages

did not reveal

There were tires on the Prado 150 3.0 diesel

Dignity

it behaves well in the rain on the asphalt, it adheres well to the asphalt at high speeds, it brakes well both in wet and dry weather

disadvantages

noise, poor grip on dirt roads, strongly discourages dirt, even a wet shoulder in black soil ... poor balance

skated while the season, the road keeps very worthy, is not afraid of sudden wet asphalt, and puddles too, the braking distance is really shorter than that of domestic counterparts, relatively low price, but only now he does not like primers (after 70 km / h the car begins to yearn for the road), sand on the asphalt (he does not like it very much, slips, slows down badly), it is better not to climb into the mud at all, the tread is immediately clogged and you can go for help, if low temperatures from +7 to 0 quite quickly warms up and confidently holds on to ASPHALT, but the infection is a bit noisy, it even seemed to me that the winter amtel is one position noisier, it showed itself not badly in the first snow, though I would not recommend meeting winter on this rubber PS drove about 22,000 km on it, average wear (very intensively exploited), I think it will be enough for another two seasons, i.e. thousand for 40-45, well, we'll see, time will tell

disadvantages

Terribly soft, wild wear, absolutely unstable on the road, "magnet" for self-tapping screws

The first problem - 2 weeks after the start of use (early June), hernia on front wheel, it is not clear where it appeared. The result is the replacement of one cylinder. Further, while driving, I felt a hard rut. Thinking that the tires might not have been rolled in yet, I left as a pensioner for about a week. But, to my surprise, after a week the effect was exactly the same. Well, and then it started ... I caught screws on different wheels with a frequency of 2-3 weeks ... 2 hernias per rear wheel, 1 hernia on the front wheel ... Lateral cut on the rear wheel (during the cut, the cord was exposed and it became clear that it was almost without reinforcement ...) Before selling the car (4 months after the start of use) I decided to see what kind of wear if something happens to pick them up on another car. The wear was (attention!) 60% !!! I realized that there was no point in taking it with me, I left it with the car. As a result: for 4 months of operation only in the city (mainly cadres) 4 hernias on different wheels (one of them is of such a size that it was not possible to drive), a total of 10 punctures, a rather large side cut. With such wear and tear, the rubber will last for 2 seasons. Everything is explained very simply: the rubber is very soft, at temperatures above +20 you can hear it sticking to the asphalt. Suitable for people who go out by car to shop 2 times a week to the nearest supermarket and travel at a speed of 60 km / h. For the rest, I highly do not recommend it. Before that there were Pirelli P Zero - I was happy as an elephant.

Dignity

Excellent tires, good road holding, minimum aquaplaning.

disadvantages

I drove on this rubber for 5 months. To be honest, I drive aggressively. Taking into account my ride to rubber, not any complaints.

The name of the famous British tire brand - Dunlop - is consonant with the name of the founder of a branched corporation and inventor of the first pneumatic tire - John Dunlop. That is why it is associated with the prosperity of the tire industry.

However, the overall success of the firm is due to a number of other aspects. And the main one is the rich practical experience in the development of tires for various purposes and the development of production in accordance with the requirements of the time.

Steps for Dunlop Summer and Winter tires to enter the global market

The history of the Dunlop company began in 1888 (when its first director acquired a patent for his invention) with the production of bicycles and universal bicycle tires. But when the autoera changed the period of the "reign" of the previously known modes of transport, the company aimed at success began to rapidly expand its range. This is how the developed taking into account scientific and engineering innovations appeared. car tires Dunlop which motorists from different parts of Europe, Australia and America have found the opportunity to buy.

The British company Dunlop is one of the oldest tire manufacturers that has made an invaluable contribution to the development of tire manufacturing technologies.

The production facilities of the company produce hundreds of models of automobile, motorcycle, aviation, industrial and other tires, presented in a huge number of standard sizes. Combined with high quality and excellent performance characteristics, this makes Dunlop brand products demanded and popular all over the world.

Brand background

The history of the British tire brand Dunlop, which today is one of the largest in the world, began with a case in the life of the Scottish veterinarian John Dunlop. The doctor's son, while riding a tricycle, experienced inconvenience and discomfort due to the excessive rigidity of the wheels.

To soften the ride of the bike, the future founder of the company wrapped them in rubber and pumped air inside. It is this event that is considered the initial stage in the history of pneumatic tire production.

Start of production

In 1889, a year after receiving a patent for pneumatic tires, a British veterinarian opened his own business.

Initially, the company specialized exclusively in the production of bicycle tires, but after 4 years the production was reoriented to the assembly of car tires. The reason for this reorientation was the massive distribution of passenger cars in Europe and, as a result, the increased demand of car manufacturers for high-quality tires.

Innovative solutions

Having established the production of tires and consolidating its position in the market, the company did not stop there. Agricultural tires (1929) were soon added to the range of products, which, one year later, began to use side lugs for the first time for higher cross-country ability on the ground.

In 1956, the company designed and successfully commercialized the first rain-type tire with improved drainage specifically for racing cars.

A real revolution in the tire industry was the invention of the nylon belt, which was first used in Dunlop tires in 1958. This innovative development significantly reduced the weight of tires while maintaining the necessary strength of the inner carcasses.

Also in 1962, the company presented the first tire in its history made with synthetic rubber. The rubber has been tested on the race track and has shown impressive results: the speed of the Formula 1 car, as well as its handling and stability, have increased significantly.

Today, the company's technological base continues to expand. At the same time, Dunlop employees are constantly exchanging experience with engineers at its parent company, Goodyear. In combination with the constant modernization of production facilities, this allows us to achieve the highest quality manufactured products.
