Auto ZAZ "Vida" is a model of light personal transport, which is manufactured both as a hatchback and a sedan. Large-scale production was launched in 2012. In Ukraine, the car went on sale only by March. A month later, the official presentation of "Vida" hatchback from ZAZ took place. It took place in one of the largest car dealerships in Kiev.

Description

The ZAZ "Vida" car, the characteristics of which are presented below, first rolled off the assembly line in 2012. The first batch was, accordingly, a trial, simultaneously with the release, the certification process was underway. The T250 body was used on some models, including Chevrolet aveo, he became one of the line of cars that were also produced in Ukraine. This machine was issued under its working name - ZAZ "Vida". In Russia, it is better known as Point.

February 2012 - it was at this time that serial production began. The complete assembly (stamping, body creation, painting) was first performed on the main conveyor in Zaporozhye. The car was planned to be exported only when the share of Ukrainian components is more than half. The ZAZ "Vida" car will differ from the original version in wheels, logos, configuration options and, of course, cost.

The machine in certain versions is equipped with different power units. We are talking about licensed (1.5 L), Melitopol (1.3 L) and Korean (1.5 L) engines. You can see various variants of the car on the market. A sedan and a hatchback with 5 doors are available.

The established sale of the car ZAZ "Vida" in the dealer network of Ukraine appeared in the year of release. Manufacturers were faced with the task of increasing the number of products and increasing the development of domestic parts. It was initially known that the car would go on sale to Russia, however, in what form and at what cost, no one knew. In the first year, more than 10 thousand copies were sold.

Special version of the car

In August 2012, at the Moscow Motor Show and in September of the same year at the Capital Motor Show (Ukraine), the concept car ZAZ Vida Special Version was presented in the sedan body, but with the front part from the hatchback of the same modification.

The model is an independent development of the Zaporozhye Automobile Plant. ZAZ Vida Special Version received a 1.4-liter power unit, running on gasoline, the maximum power rating is 94 horses, the production of which was directly involved in General Motors. The motor is paired with an automatic transmission (4 stages). A car similar to the Chevrolet Aveo for the Mexican market and the Chinese Chevrolet models Lova, but with a different front bumper and grille. ZAZ Vida Special Version may go into serial production.

Pickup

In May 2013 in Kiev International Motor Show SIA was presented with a prototype of a van called ZAZ Vida Pick-up. The developers claim a 3000-liter trunk and a carrying capacity that can reach seven hundred kilograms. Under the hood of the car there is an 86-horsepower 1.5-liter engine, the type of fuel is gasoline. The start of serial production was scheduled for the end of 2013. This car is a copy of Chevrolet Aveo, the only thing that the company did was put up for sale the same model under its logo. Body

The length of the car is: sedan - 4300 mm, hatchback - 4000 mm. Width: sedan - 1700 mm, hatchback - 1600 mm, height - 1500 mm; wheelbase - 2400 mm. These dimensions do not differ from the dimensions of the Chevrolet. However, they allowed for increased handling and improved cornering maneuverability. The curb weight of the car is 1000-1200 kg, so the car can carry quite heavy loads and a large number of passengers. Capacity luggage compartment sedan is 400 liters, hatchback - 220 liters. If more space is needed for larger cargo, the rear seat must be folded down to increase the capacity to 980 liters.

Transmission

The transmission of cars is made according to a front-wheel drive scheme with front-wheel drives of different lengths. The model with a 1.5 liter engine is equipped with a mechanical five-speed gearbox gears, and "Vida" 1.4 l - automatic transmission gear.

Prices and configuration

ZAZ Vida is offered in five trim levels. They differ in technical characteristics. Two models are equipped with an automatic transmission and are available in sedan and hatchback bodies. Basic configuration the sedan has a standard set: an airbag for the driver, mechanical box gear, which works with an engine of medium power.

The next improved equipment includes a manual transmission, air conditioning, airbags for the front passenger and, of course, the driver. There are power windows and fog lights. Similar characteristics are available in both the sedan and the hatchback.

Prices for ZAZ "Vida" sedan with manual transmission start at UAH 90 thousand. (300 thousand rubles) for the basic version. An improved LS with the same engine, hydraulic booster, air conditioning, airbag, power windows and fog lights costs from UAH 98,000. For a complete set of LT the machine will have to pay a little more: from 117 thousand UAH.

Cars with a hatchback body in LS configuration (5-speed mechanics) cost 95 thousand UAH. LT version (automatic) - from 116 thousand UAH (302 thousand rubles).

So, ZAZ "Vida" in the hatchback body is practically a copy of the "Chevrolet-Aveo" model, as mentioned earlier. As expected, the car is not much different from its original version in technical terms and in appearance... The front suspension has some features that are inherent in parts of a foreign manufacturer, while the rear is a structure of levers. ZAZ "Vida" (hatchback) really liked both Russian and Ukrainian buyers. On the front wheels you can see installed brakes disc type, and on the rear - drum. The parameters of the car are no different: all dimensions remain the same.

The basic equipment includes the minimum set required for medium-level safety. Expensive versions are more comfortable.

Engine

The ZAZ "Vida" car, the engine of which, in principle, has quite acceptable characteristics, moves along the roads due to the gasoline power plant... The manufacturer installs two types of units:

  • four-valve - a mechanical type gearbox, and a speed of 100 km / h can be reached in 12 seconds;
  • the eight-valve engine is capable of developing 64 horsepower. And you can pick up speed from a standstill in 14 seconds.

In principle, these characteristics are really good for a Ukrainian-made car. After all, we are not talking about Germany, Japan or America, but about Ukraine. It is worth noting that this car ZAZ "Vida", reviews of which confirm all the declared characteristics, rolls off the same assembly line as "Lanos", known throughout the country. The manufacturer had to create an excellent car, improve it and completely fit all the requirements of a modern driver. However, it is not easy to do this, if only because it was remembered by buyers for its durability, good endurance and complete immunity to the climatic conditions of any region.

Transferring production of an outdated but popular model to developing countries is a common practice, especially in the budget segment. The ZAZ Vida hatchback is another such car. There are no noticeable changes in the design of the body and in the cabin, with the exception of the factory emblems. Localization of components in Ukraine at the beginning of production in March 2012 was 15%, but should grow to 51. First of all, these are body panels and interior parts, and later - the chassis and power unit.

For Ukrainian buyers, as many as four engine options are available: two "native" Korean (1.4 and 1.5 liters), Melitopol (1.3 liters) and Chinese (1.5 liters). In Russia, so far only one version is officially available with the last engine on the list and a 5-speed "mechanics". The same one is installed on Forza (analogue of the Chinese Chery M11) - another model that is leaving the ZAZ assembly line today.

The Vida hatchback package in Russia is also the only one - SX, in which there is one airbag, power steering and steering in two directions, air conditioning, front power windows, audio preparation (four speakers and an antenna), central locking with remote control and fog lights.

In my opinion...

Despite the fact that I personally was not delighted with the second generation Aveo, I must admit: such cars are in great demand - it is foolish to argue that their price / quality ratio is good. Vida is a pretty decent discounted clone. It is not surprising that while maintaining the design, the plastics have become simpler (it turns out, and this is possible), and the only (so far) complete set is very modest by modern standards. Even the radio optional equipment for a fee. But it’s not that annoying (what is the price - such is the level of equipment), but the engine. Personally, he did not inspire confidence in me: it works noisy, hard (VAZ-style) does not start with a "half kick". On our particular car, after a half-hour trip in a traffic jam, the engine uncertainly kept the revs and strove to stall. I don’t remember that there were such sins behind Korean engines. As for the rest, both the “source” and the “copy” are of the same berry field: the third variety is not a marriage.

In my opinion...

A sense of déjà vu: the little Aveo of the last generation under the guise of ZAZ has barely changed in appearance, but the poor interior of the “original source” has become simply miserable. However, on the go, you quickly forget about total budgeting. I liked the energy-intensive suspension - it perfectly digests road joints and large potholes. Distinct steering effort and responsiveness incite frequent rearrangements in the city's hustle and bustle. The fit is comfortable. I did not find any body flaws in the Zaporozhye assembly, there are no squeaks and knocks in motion. The idyll lasted until the first Moscow traffic jam - Idling, the engine stalled several times. I admit that this is a problem of a specific instance and everything can be fixed by replacing the sensor or updating the firmware. However, the embarrassment stirred up long-forgotten phobias of the owner of a domestic car. On the whole, Vida left a good impression. But will it become a bestseller in the affordable segment? For the same money you can take Renault logan in a similar configuration. Worse for the Vida, the next-generation Korean "original", the Chevrolet Aveo sedan, costs a little more. In my opinion, this is a fully justified premium for innovation and modern design.

In my opinion...

Looks Vida / Aveo though deliberately budget, but even more or less modern. Rides about the same. Mainly complaints about ergonomics. The right knee rests against the swollen center console, and if you move back, the steering wheel is far away. If there is any mechanism, then it should work, perform its function, and not just be present for show in the specification. Especially when it comes to an inexpensive people's car. This is me now about the cup holders - it is impossible to use them. Well, actually, ZAZ has nothing to do with it: “what happened, then I fell in love”, as it is sung in a famous song. But it would not hurt to work on the build quality. For example, tilting the rear seat forward by pulling the eyelet did not work. Either there was not enough strength, or the mechanism wedged up. They didn’t bother - we take our word for it.

Specifications ZAZ VIDA(translated from Spanish as - life, lifestyle) are practically similar to. Because this is a 100% twin of Aveo (licensed copy), with the exception of insignificant details in the interior of the cabin, the nameplate of the ZAZ auto corporation instead of the Chevrolet gold cross, as well as equipping with Ukrainian-made 1.3-liter engines with a capacity of 70 hp. (don't let that scare you, the car is also available with GM 1.4 and 1.5 liter engines).

The car traditionally has front-wheel drive and is available in sedan and hatchback bodies. The transmission is installed with a 5-speed manual (Korean production) or a 4-speed automatic (GM). Wheel size - 185/60 / R14 and 185/55 / ​​R15 (read). According to the manufacturer's data, ZAZ VIDA meets the environmental requirements of toxicity exhaust gases presented by the Euro-4 standard. The frequency of maintenance is 15 thousand km (read the frequency Maintenance Chevrolet Aveo). Also, some configurations are equipped with air conditioning, power windows and fog lights.

For more than six months, an analogue of the Chevrolet Aveo has been rolling along the expanses of Ukrainian roads - ZAZ Vida sedan... Externally, the car looks the same, except for the ZAZ nameplate, the interior has also changed little, however, the center console has become a little simpler due to the lack of an audio system, and the four-spoke steering wheel has been replaced with a steering wheel with three. Let's take a closer look at this car.


But the Vida has a more powerful 1.5-liter 109-strong MeMZ engine complying with the Euro-4 standard. This motor is assembled at ZAZ and is half Chinese Chery parts and half Ukrainian. For comparison, the Chevrolet Aveo, which was the "progenitor" of the Vida, is equipped only with engines of 1.2 and 1.4 liters and a capacity of 84 and 101 horsepower, respectively.
In Ukraine, the car has been sold since the end of February 2012, initially the Vida sedan was assembled from Korean components, but now the Zaporozhye Automobile Plant has switched to full-scale production, which includes stamping, welding, painting and body assembly on the main conveyor. Due to the fact that the level of localization exceeded 51 percent, it became possible for Vida to appear in the CIS countries, including Russia.
A new distribution company will supply the car to Russia "ZAZAVtoRus", which began its work just the other day - in April 2012. Previously, the distribution of ZAZ cars in Russia was carried out by the “Kingrup” company, but after the expiration of the contract with this distributor, the “UkrAvto” corporation preferred to create its own player in the Russian market.


As the head of ZAZavtoRus Bogdan Vasilets noted, the new distributor will continue to work with most of the dealers with whom Qingroup cooperated, so the level of sales of Zaporozhtsev will not decrease, moreover, the company expects to occupy 1.5 percent of the Russian market in 2013 and sell up to 40 thousand cars a year, and in 2015 to overcome the level of 2 percent. Requirements for dealers will be toughened due to ZAZ's striving for the maximum quality of customer service and strengthening the brand's position.
What will the ZAZ Vida distributor ultimately present to the Russians?
After the first reports about the imminent start of the export of Vida to Russian market many were inspired, since in Ukraine the car is sold both with an automatic transmission and at an affordable price. However, it turned out that it was too early to rejoice. First of all, only the ZAZ Vida version with the aforementioned 1.5-liter engine and a 5-speed "mechanics" developed by GM will be brought to us, which allows you to move with maximum speed at 170 kilometers per hour. The vehicle is 4310 mm long, 1710 mm wide and 1505 mm high, the boot volume is 320 liters, and with the seats folded down - 725 liters.
The basic "Vida" S will receive power steering, steering column tilt adjustment, tachometer, immobilizer, driver airbag, rear fog lights, electric headlight corrector, radio preparation for four speakers, 14-inch wheels and a chrome grille.
In the SE configuration, the car will additionally be equipped with air conditioning, front power windows, body-colored side mirrors with electric drive and heating, central locking and front foglights. The head of "ZAZ" Nikolay Evdokimenko assured that deliveries of the top-end Vida SX, which has an automatic transmission, are planned, but it is not yet clear how long it will take for its appearance in Russia. It is worth noting that for Russia there is a version of the upper configuration with a 1.5-liter engine, and not with a 1.4-liter one, as in Ukraine.
A little later in the summer, a hatchback version with similar engine characteristics, but, of course, smaller, will appear. overall dimensions- it is shorter by 390 mm and narrower by 30 mm, and its trunk has a volume of 175 liters or 735 when folded rear seats... ZAZ has also planned the release of the Vida commercial van, the production of which will begin at the end of the year, so in 2013 it can be expected in Russia as well.
The most sensitive question concerns the price of Vida in Russia. The cost of the basic version from Russian dealers of ZAZ will be 389 thousand rubles ... In other words, Vida will be more expensive than the Chevrolet Aveo model, on the basis of which it was created.
For the sake of interest, you can try to compare Ukrainian prices for different Vida configurations with what may be in Russia. The basic version costs 90 thousand hryvnias or 330 thousand rubles, the extended version costs 97 thousand hryvnias or 356 thousand rubles, and the top version costs 107 thousand hryvnias or 392 thousand rubles. then dealers can also ask for 450 thousand rubles for SX. For reference, latest generation Chevrolet sedan Aveo with a 1.5-liter 115-horsepower engine and MKP5 costs from 444 thousand rubles in Russia.
This raises some doubts that Vida sales will be strong. First of all, because the sales of ZAZ Chance will continue in Russia, which in combination with an automatic transmission costs only 349 thousand rubles. ZAZavtoRus has prepared a rather aggressive advertising campaign for ZAZ Vida, and the posters and videos will end with the slogan “And let everyone follow VID”, which, according to the company, will help improve the position of the new product.
Based on the minimal impressions that we managed to get after a couple of laps on the ZAZ test site, we can say that Vida does not cause disgust - the engine does not make noise and runs smoothly, the stroke is quite soft, and the interior is quite comfortable. But it is too early to make any statements about its quality. Vida will be in Russia in May, at the same time CARS.ru will have the opportunity to conduct a full test drive of this car and even compare it with the Chevrolet Aveo. However, already now we can show a video that demonstrates the quality of the Vida's suspension.

The subcompact sedan ZAZ Vida is nothing more than a “licensed copy” of the Chevrolet Aveo model with the internal factory marking “T250”, which differs from the “source” only by nameplates.

Serial production of the three-volume at the facilities of the "Zaporozhye Automobile Building Plant" started at the beginning of 2012, and at the end of the summer of the same year at the Moscow Auto Show its updated version with the "Facelift" prefix appeared, which was transformed externally and internally (which, unfortunately, before the conveyor never got there).

Externally, ZAZ Vida is almost an exact copy of Aveo. This is a nice sedan with smooth body shapes, laconic bumpers, neat lighting and pronounced wheel arches. By today's standards, the car looks slightly outdated, but its appearance certainly does not cause rejection.

With its dimensions "Vida" clearly meets the concepts of the B-segment by European standards: 4310 mm in length, 1505 mm in height and 1710 mm in width. The wheelsets of the three-volume box accommodate 2480 mm between themselves, and under its bottom there is a 160 mm ground clearance.

The interior of ZAZ Vida is unpretentious and spartanly simple, but from a purely budget car you don't expect any frills: a laconic but readable dashboard, an uncomplicated three-spoke steering wheel and an artless center console, on which there are only two air ducts, a slot for a radio tape recorder and three climate system controls. The interior of the sedan is trimmed with cheap, but quite good materials, and the build quality is generally at a normal level.

Inside "Views" there is enough free space for four adults, albeit without much headroom. All seats have a very welcoming profile, while the front seats are also adjustable over a wide longitudinal range.

As part of the B-class, the trunk of the ZAZ Vida is quite decent - 400 liters in the "stowed" state. The rear sofa, divided into two sections in a 40:60 ratio, folds down to increase the available volume to 725 liters, but forms a noticeable step. In the "cellar" of the cargo compartment there is a full-size "spare wheel" and the tool necessary for its installation.

Specifications. Under the hood of "Kinds" work exclusively gasoline four-cylinder units (there are three of them) with an in-line layout and distributed fuel injection:

  • The starting version is an 8-valve "aspirated" with a volume of 1.5 liters (1498 cubic centimeters), developing 84 "stallions" at 5600 rpm and 128 Nm of torque at 5600 rpm and equipped with a 5-speed "mechanics".
  • Next in the hierarchy is a 1.4-liter (1399 cubic centimeters) engine with a 16-valve timing, which has a potential of 94 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 130 Nm of peak thrust at 3400 rpm. Only he in tandem relies automatic transmission about four bands.
  • "Tops the power palette" 16-valve "with a volume of 1.5 liters (1497 cubic centimeters), generating 109" horses "at 6000 rpm and 140 Nm of available recoil at 4500 rpm. Like the "junior" unit, it interacts with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Depending on the modification, the spurt up to 100 km / h for the ZAZ Vida sedan takes 11-14 seconds, accelerates to 160-170 km / h and “drinks” no more than 7.2-7.8 liters of fuel in mixed conditions for every “hundred”.

"Vida" extends on a front-wheel drive "bogie" with a longitudinally mounted engine in the front and a body in which high-strength grades of steel are widely used (their share is 46%). Chassis the car is organized according to a typical B-class scheme: McPherson struts are installed in the front, and a semi-independent architecture with an elastic beam ( cross stabilizers used on both axes).
The rack and pinion steering mechanism on the Ukrainian sedan is supplemented with a hydraulic power steering, and its braking component is represented by ventilated "pancakes" on the front and drum devices on the rear axles (ABS is available only as an option).

Options and prices. In the summer of 2014, ZAZ Vida left Russia, and is now available only on secondary market at a price of 220 thousand rubles and above (as of the beginning of 2017).

At home, the 2017 car is sold in the Standard, Comfort and Lux ​​trim levels - its cost starts at UAH 261,450 (~ 585 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate). In the "state" the sedan is equipped with one airbag, power steering, 14-inch steel discs and a height-adjustable steering column.
For the "top" version, dealers ask UAH 316,230 (~ 708 thousand rubles), but its equipment is much more attractive (in addition to the above equipment): air conditioning, 15-inch light-alloy "rollers", two power windows, fog lights and heated exterior mirrors and electrical settings.
