Tractors under the Chetra brand owe their fame and popularity among industrialists to the heavy crawler bulldozer T-11. It was this tractor that became the flagship in the production line of powerful bulldozer equipment, which is successfully used in production, in various industries.

The scope of the T-11 model is very extensive. It is widely used in the exploration and development of oil and gas fields, extractive mining, on construction sites, as well as in the construction of new and in the repair of old roads.

The history of the creation of the Chetra T-11 bulldozer

The decision to build a new, large tractor plant was adopted in 1971, and in January 72nd its construction began. Simultaneously with the construction, there was a recruitment of personnel for the team of tractor-builders of a new enterprise, the Cheboksary Plant of Industrial Tractors or ChZTP.

Experienced specialists from such enterprises as: ChTZ, PTZ, VgTZ, etc. were invited to leading positions. In the same 1972, recruitment began for ordinary positions, young people from different parts of the country were drawn to the new enterprise.

In December 1974, the first workshop of the plant began work; components for the first tractor were manufactured on its premises. In 1975 on October 25, department technical control took over the first bulldozer of the ChZPT brand, the heavy T-330, the power of which was 330 hp. This day is considered to be the birthday of the company. In September 1982, the 1000th anniversary T-330 tractor was manufactured.

In 1985, the development of a line of new industrial machines 50, 35 and 25 tons. The first three bulldozers T-25.01 with a planetary gearbox were built. On its basis, a reclamation machine and a modification for pipe laying were created.

At the end of 1993, ChZPT was privatized and transformed into Promtractor OJSC.

In 1995, the T-35 and T-25 tractors went into series, these machines were equipped with YaMZ diesel engines. Work on the 240 and 280 hp bulldozers, called the T-15 and T-20, began in 1996.

The first was assembled T-20 in the winter of 97th, and in October 99th the first serial T-15. In the same 1999, the design of the T-11 began, it weighed 19 tons and the power reached 180 hp. The first bulldozer T-11 was manufactured in 2001, Sberbank took part in this project as an investor, and in the same year its mass production was launched.

In 2002, at the Traktor Show, where new models of tractors were demonstrated, Promtractor OJSC presented its products to the public for the first time under the CHETRA brand. In June 2005, the enterprise became part of the Tractor Plants LLC concern.

Technical characteristics of the Chetra T-11 bulldozer

The T-11 bulldozer was created to work in all climatic zones, the machine feels great both at -50 in the north and in the southern latitudes at temperatures up to +50. Maintainability and ease of maintenance is ensured by the modular arrangement of tractor units and parts. Each module can be separately dismantled and transported to the repair shop, leaving a multi-ton machine in place.

The tractor was developed together with the German concern Sauer Danfoss, taking into account modern requirements, so the T-11 includes units and assemblies of domestic and foreign production.

CHETRA T-11 is equipped with diesel engines of two different brands:

  • Domestic YMZ-236ND2;
  • American Cummins QSB6,7-C204.

Yaroslavl Motor Plant provided a V-shaped, four-stroke, six-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine. With an engine volume of slightly more than 11 liters, its power was 136 (185) kW (hp), at an engine speed of 1900 rpm. The cylinders are 130 mm in diameter and the piston stroke is 140 mm. The torque given out at engine speeds of 1200-1400 rpm is approximately 883 Nm.

American machine builders supply a six-cylinder, four-stroke, in-line, supercharged and liquid-cooled unit. Thanks to supercharging and others design features, from a volume of 6.7 liters, it was possible to remove 137.5 (187) kW (hp) at a maximum of 2000 rpm. The bore to stroke ratio is 102 / 136.4 mm. Torque at rated engine speed 1500 rpm, about 938 Nm.

American diesel is slightly superior in performance to its Yaroslavl counterpart, it is also considered more reliable and economical. However, YaMZ is much easier to maintain and repair it is much cheaper, in addition, Yaroslavl diesel engines have passed more than a single test in the north and at the same time received for the most part positive reviews... Therefore, it is not easy to give an unequivocal answer which engine is better, the main thing is that there is a choice.

Transmission of the bulldozer Chetra T-11

The gearbox on the T-11 bulldozer is of the planetary type and has the ability to shift gears under load. The couplings operate in oil and are distinguished by their ability to transmit high torque values.

Provides the tractor with three speeds forward and the same backward, while the travel speed is from 3.7 to 11 km / h forward and backward from 5 to 14.4. The box together with the main gear and the matching gear forms a single module installed in a special bore rear axle.

Transmission and chassis of the Chetra T-11 bulldozer

The hydrostatic transmission was developed by the aforementioned Sauer Danfoss company, especially for CHETRA bulldozers.

For reliable transmission of torque from the diesel engine to the gearbox, a torque converter is used, which is connected to the motor using an elastic coupling and a cardan drive.

The brakes are multi-disc clutches, constantly closed by spring force. Throughout the entire service life, they do not need adjustment, and cooling with the help of oil flowing under pressure.

The tractor has a semi-rigid, three-point suspension. The extended swing axis of the bogies gives the bulldozer increased traction properties and reliable adhesion to the surface, as well as protects the T-11 chassis from impact loads.

The idler wheels, and with them the carrier and track rollers, are equipped with self-tightening so-called "double cone" seals and lifetime one-time grease. Each track of the bulldozer has two carrier rollers and six track rollers.

Tracks of the T-11 tractor are modular, each shoe has one lug, and there is a seal in the hinge to delay lubrication.

The surface area on which the caterpillar rests is 2.668 m2, while the ground pressure does not exceed 0.76 kg / cm2.

Steering and cab of the Chetra T-11 bulldozer

The T-11 is controlled by side clutches, multi-plate clutches with the help of hydraulics driven. Disconnecting (in whole or in part) the clutches of the left or right side clutch, the bulldozer turns in the appropriate direction. The clutches are controlled from the control station, using two levers.

On the secondary market the price of a T-11 bulldozer can range from 800-900 thousand for a machine in working order produced in the early 2000s, up to 4.5 million for a powered copy of 4-5 years of age. New T-11s can be purchased for 5.5-6.7 million rubles.

ENGINE

The T-11 tractor with the designation "-Ya" in the model name is equipped with a Yaroslavl diesel engine YaMZ-236-ND-2 (185 hp), has a mass of 20.3 - 23 tons, can operate different kinds dumps (swivel from mechanics or hydraulics) and three types of rippers - one-, three- and seven-tooth.

In the development of its designs, Promtractor OJSC actively uses imported units and components (European and American): for example, the transmission was developed by the order of this enterprise by the German company Sauer Danfoss. The capabilities of the T-11 and the requirements for a modern bulldozer

Bulldozer T-11 "Chetra" can perform the planning of sites and routes, excavate soil, carry out excavation work, build embankments, move building materials, and be used in logging operations. One of the main functions of the bulldozer, as always, is the development of hard soils by a scarifier (if the soils, for example, rocky ones, are single-toothed, to use the maximum force of the machine) and the subsequent sampling of the waste rock with a swivel blade.

We can say that a modern bulldozer is required to:

  • the most effective use of the mass of the machine when bulldozing, which is expressed in the design of the bulldozer attachment tool, its long-stroke cylinders;
  • smooth gear shifting under load, smooth adjustment of the traction force depending on the traction resistance encountered (this is the responsibility of the hydromechanical transmission, which is present on all Chetra machines, and its control);
  • a set of universal bulldozer-ripping tools, additionally - trailed devices and winches;
  • comfortable ergonomic cabin with joysticks, with a maximum glass area for visibility, but sealed, with air conditioning, heater, with a system ROPS protection- FOPS;
  • small specific pressure of the tracks on the ground;
  • undercarriage (wheels, rollers, tracks), which does not require very time-consuming maintenance.
