Few people know that bus rental in popularity today is comparable to car rental. This is a convenient and affordable service. Cars are offered with a different number of seats and levels of comfort. They have everything for a short or long trip, which are safe thanks to professional drivers and the obligatory technical control for the state of the vehicle. No self-respecting tour operator or hotel business can do without this type of rental. Bus rental is in demand by large corporations and small travel communities.

Under (TS) is meant one of the types of lease relations based on an agreement, which can be:

  • With the guaranteed provision of management services and technical exploitation cars .
  • With the provision of a bus to the client.

Usually, the first type of contractual relationship is used, when the customer practically does not need to think about anything.

The lessee receives for temporary use a car with or without a crew. Moreover, the scope of his duties in relation to the vehicle and responsibility in each case are different.

The contract can be concluded for a day, several years, and even provide for the right of redemption.

Each rental service offers its own conditions and limits on terms, mileage restrictions, territory of use, and so on.

Benefits of renting a bus with a driver

When it is unprofitable to use a taxi or a private car, a decision is made to rent a bus with a crew. Most companies do this when organizing:

  • corporate events and weddings;
  • business travel;
  • excursions and travel;
  • conferences and exhibitions;
  • transfers;
  • transportation of personnel.

The cost of the service is calculated individually in each case - the length of the route, the time of use and the remuneration of the crew are taken into account. However, per passenger, the price will always be lower than when renting a car or using a taxi. In addition, the level of comfort will be incomparably higher than in cars or minibuses.

Before entering the route, the technical condition of the bus is checked, and it is driven by high-class drivers who are allowed by a doctor to drive a vehicle throughout Russia. This is how safety is guaranteed. The machine is filled up and is completely ready for long-term operation away from the base. You can order a bus by phone.

Rental tourist buses very common. Comfortable soft and high seats, multimedia systems, air conditioning, dry closet, large luggage compartment and so on - all this is available. If desired, it is possible to take double-decker with panoramic glasses and microphones. And the cost of the service includes not only a trip to the excursion site, but also sightseeing, and the work of a professional guide.

Bus transfer

Transportation from the airport or train station to the hotel and back, or the transfer is used by tour operators everywhere. This is beneficial to everyone: the client does not pay for the taxi, and the group “without losses” is delivered and quickly settled. Perfect option to meet foreign partners. Moreover, the driver will wait for his passengers, even if the plane or train is greatly delayed.

Bus rental for company employees

The rental of corporate buses has become mega-popular in recent years. Today the service is used not only for one-time trips to nature, meetings and other business events, but sometimes in the daily activities of companies. The fact is that not every enterprise is located along the routes public transport, parking spaces are not always available in abundance.

Renting a rotational bus for employees eliminates problems with the delivery of employees to the place of work. This is important when the company organizes work in several shifts or uses a rotational method. The team becomes more united, punctual, and there is no point in leaving the workplace ahead of time. Corporate delivery is becoming an important tool for retaining valuable workforce, and in this case fare are always justified.

Long term rental

Large enterprises that do not have their own fleet of vehicles are helped by long-term leases large buses... Two tasks are solved at once:

  • regular delivery of personnel;
  • optimization of transport costs.

This is an option for tourism, construction, oil and gas production and other companies (both private and public) that do not want to bind themselves to the purchase and maintenance of expensive vehicles with the hiring of additional employees.

The choice of this type of lease is very beneficial for educational institutions. You can rent a bus for a long time to transport students if the educational institution is located outside the city. The bus is also needed when organizing Olympiads, competitions, and so on. The option is suitable for sports clubs that need to regularly deliver teams to the competition sites. This service is widely used by sea and air carriers who require sustainable passenger transport channels.

Rent with option to buy

Large customers of car rental companies often want to take a bus to. This service is even more attractive financially. A long-term lease agreement is concluded for a specific period of time. A debt repayment schedule is drawn up. After paying a small down payment (5-30% of the vehicle value), the client pays the rent as usual.

The bus is regularly serviced by the lessor and gradually becomes the property of the lessee. At the end of the lease, the residual value is paid and the car changes ownership.

General conditions for renting a bus

The conditions for renting a bus are no different from renting any other vehicle. The legal relationship between the lessor and the lessee is governed by the Civil Code (CC). To get transport for temporary use, you must:

  1. Collect the necessary documents for renting a bus.
  2. Visit the distributor's office, choose the make and model.
  3. Draw up a contract.
  4. Pick up transport after payment.

The bus must go on a route with a valid waybill, passenger insurance and a working tachograph. If the latter is in electronic form, a driver card is required. Details can be found in advance by phone or on the company's website.

The bus rental agreement with the driver must contain:

  1. Data of the parties to the transaction.
  2. Information about the vehicle: state number, number of seats and conditions of comfort.
  3. The period and mode of operation of the machine.
  4. Amount and procedure for payments.
  5. The rights and responsibilities of the parties.
  6. Restrictions, terms of return and early termination of the lease.
  7. Start and end dates of the contract.
  8. Legal addresses, bank details and signatures of the parties to the agreement.

Where is bus rental available

You can rent a bus for a day, for a month or more at large specialized rental offices or at individuals... In the latter case, it is difficult to guarantee the availability of all the advantages of rental. Therefore, a responsible choice involves contacting serious landlords. These are major players in the market. You can get a high-quality service from them, provided in full compliance with the law.

Before concluding an agreement with the rental company, it is necessary to develop a schedule for using the vehicle. You need to decide on the size of the bus, the type power plant, the number of seats, and so on.

You can study the proposed contract and customer reviews. The rental service offer should meet your needs and financial capabilities as much as possible. But in order to order a city bus to become safe, we recommend paying attention to:

  • Availability of a license, permission to transport children, and so on.
  • Driver qualifications.
  • Monitoring the technical condition of the vehicle and medical drivers.
  • Fleet size, age and system availability passive safety(with belts).
  • Making insurance for passengers.

Bus rental cost

The price for the service is always significantly higher than for renting a small car.

Basic calculation methods short term rent- hourly or per kilometer run.

If you take a vehicle for a day or several days, that is, a short period of time, most of which will be simple, and not a mileage with a large mileage, will apply hourly rent bus. A car with a capacity of 40-60 people can cost 1000-2500 rubles per hour. The price includes the cost of a kilometer of mileage, a decrease in the resource (the mileage and time of use are taken into account), payment to the crew and the cost of the policy. Much depends on the optional equipment.

How much it costs to rent a bus depends on the mode of use and the number of seats. Long-term lease is calculated according to a different principle - by the time of use, taking into account the lease term and profitability indicators. There is room for maneuver, and you can try to get a discount. It is always provided to regular customers.

Rent price passenger bus may be:

  • Fixed - when the final price of the service is determined.
  • Variable - calculated using formulas and coefficients, and the settlement mechanism is fixed in the contract.

Excess costs (additional) are always accounted for separately.

Bus rental without driver

Sometimes you need to rent a bus without a driver. This is possible if you have your own professionals, a technical base and the ability to issue travel documents. As a rule, transport companies use this service.

Quite often minibuses and taxi drivers rent a vehicle from individuals, sometimes with the right of subsequent redemption. The law does not prohibit this. However, if you rent a bus without a crew, you will have to do your own refueling, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and driver's wages.

Conclusion

So, hiring a bus to transport people is not difficult. It is important that the lease does not cause headaches, unnecessary financial losses or an accident. Therefore, you need to take a responsible approach to the choice:

  • type of contract;
  • service provider;

And, of course, it is important to comply with the contractual terms.

Route taxis are one of the most profitable and liquid types of auto business. However, launching it comes with many challenges that aspiring entrepreneurs need to keep in mind.

In most Russian cities, normal bus service is not well developed. In frosty weather, people are forced to stand idle at bus stops for half an hour, an hour, or even longer. You have to choose one of two evils: either wait a long time for a single, but cheap bus, or quickly get to the place by an expensive taxi. Minibuses offer a third option: fast and inexpensive. In recent years, route taxis in many cities of Russia have become almost the main mode of transport, in some places replacing large public transport. They run more often than buses, they are more maneuverable, they stop at stops on demand, and the conditions in the cabin are often more comfortable.

The disadvantages of urban public transport systems and the growing demand for comfortable transportation from the population make the minibus business very promising for small businesses. You can open your own small business even if you do not have your own vehicle fleet and equipment for servicing cars. When operating one minibus, an entrepreneur can count on a profit that is 3-5 times higher than the average salary. It is not for nothing that passenger transportation is called one of the most profitable and liquid types of auto business, which attracts with its passive and easy income.

But, as you know, free cheese is only in a mousetrap. In business on minibuses, not everything is as smooth and sweet as it seems to many from the outside. Therefore, before making plans about how many thousand rubles a day a minibus will bring you, we advise you to carefully familiarize yourself with the market in your region, analyze the competitive environment and communicate with people working in this area. It should be borne in mind that in some cities of the country minibuses are prohibited or serious restrictions are imposed on their activities.

Trend of 2020. Intelligent entertainment business. Minimum investment... No additional deductions and payments. Turnkey training.

After such a market analysis has been carried out, a clearer picture of the legal status and structure of the enterprise will form in my head. The route business is possible in many variations. You can acquire your own vehicle fleet or work without it, provide exclusively passenger transportation services or carry out other services (dispatching, maintenance, etc.). Most often, they start such a business either with budget buses, or by attracting drivers with their own cars.

What types of route taxis are there in Russia

You may have heard that there are different kinds route taxis. Which, for example, may not have a strict binding to the route, and passengers in them may indicate new directions to the driver. So, consider that there are no such types of “minibuses without a route” or “minibuses-taxis” in Russia. At least, there is no legal concept of “route taxi”. Since 2013, minibuses have been equated by law with public transport, that is, buses, trams and trolleybuses. This means that the transportation of passengers and luggage in minibuses is carried out on a regular basis and on a regular route. Such transportation is carried out on the basis of a public contract and is defined by law as “transportation by public transport”. In fact, this means that in Russia today there are two types of minibuses, which:

    carry out transportation with embarkation and disembarkation of passengers at stopping points along the route of regular transportation;

    carry out transportation with embarkation and disembarkation of passengers in any place not prohibited by traffic rules on the route of regular transportation.

In addition, according to the Charter of road transport and urban land electric transport, there are 4 types of passenger transport routes:

    Transportation in city traffic. They are carried out within the boundaries of settlements.

    Suburban transportation. They are carried out between settlements at a distance of up to 50 km inclusively between the boundaries of these settlements.

    Intercity transportation. They are carried out between settlements at a distance of more than 50 km between the boundaries of these settlements.

    International transportation. They are carried out outside the territory of the Russian Federation or into the territory of the Russian Federation with the crossing of its border, including in transit through the territory of the country.

If we talk about the transportation of passengers and baggage in general, then three types of transportation are legally enshrined in Russia: regular transportation, transportation by order and transportation by passenger taxis. And, as you already understood, the activity of minibuses falls under the first category. So, a more correct name for this type of transport would not be “route taxi”, but “minibus” or “small bus”. In addition, a minibus usually means not a municipal transport, but a private one, which operates only from the proceeds from ticket sales.

What you need to open your own minibus

In Russia, the work of minibuses, like all other public transport, is regulated by Federal Law No. 220-FZ "On the organization of regular transportation of passengers and luggage by road ..." dated July 13, 2015 and the Charter of road transport and urban land transport.

So, today's legislation requires all carriers to use a special parking lot for parking, and to carry more than 8 passengers, it is necessary to have a license, a route map or a certificate for the right to transport passengers issued by an authorized body of the municipal, regional or regional authorities.

One of the main state documents for the implementation of passenger road transport is considered a license. The presence of this document indicates that the carrier can ensure the complete safety of passengers, that its services meet the established norms and standards, and the drivers have the necessary experience. You can get a license if you have your own transport or a rented one.

To obtain a license for passenger transportation, it is necessary to collect an impressive package of documents and submit them to the regional office of Rostransnadzor. Please note that separate licenses are issued for each of the four types of transport (urban, intercity, suburban and international).

The list of documents required to obtain a license for the carriage of passengers includes:

    certificate of registration of a legal entity;

    an application for obtaining a license, filled in in a certain form, where the type of transportation must be indicated;

    documents confirming tax registration of a person;

    copies of documents regulated by the Licensing Regulations;

    copies of the constituent documents of the enterprise, certified by a notary.

And these are just, let's say, the main documents. You will also need documents from drivers that confirm their work experience (work record) and ability to drive transport (medical certificate for permission to drive vehicles), information about the premises in which Maintenance and repair of vehicles, namely:

    copies of documents on the availability of specially equipped premises in the property (extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities or a contract);

    declaration of the availability of its own parking lot;

    documents for technical equipment in the room;

    certificates or other documents confirming the compliance of the premises with generally accepted standards.

As additional documents, you will need an agreement for the implementation of a medical pre-trip examination of drivers, documents on the availability of the necessary transport, a registration certificate vehicle, a diagnostic card or a coupon about the technical inspection and the conclusion of a specialist of the transport commission.

Ready-made ideas for your business

The license is issued within 30-45 days after the application is submitted. Before submitting documents, you must pay a state fee in the amount of 7,500 rubles. If before 2011 licenses were issued for 5 years, now they are issued indefinitely. Before collecting documents, be sure to check the list on the official portal of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport, as the requirements may change. Both individual entrepreneurs and organizations can obtain a license for the carriage of passengers. For activities without a license, individual entrepreneurs face a fine of 100 thousand rubles, organizations - 400 thousand rubles. Moreover, in case of a repeated violation, the violator will face not only a fine, but also the confiscation of the vehicle.

One of the stumbling blocks in the passenger transportation business is the choice and coordination of the route. The fact is that no one will simply allow a beginning entrepreneur to deliver passengers wherever he wants. In large cities, it is almost impossible to wedge a wedge into existing routes, the market there has long been divided. Free niches remained only in small settlements, and they are quite rare. The situation there is different. It is possible to enter the market, for example, if the local bus fleet is very outdated and needs to be replaced, and the entrepreneur is ready to introduce new buses to the route. To find out if it is possible to get a route in a particular city, you need to contact the local department of transport or transport companies serving the routes, and conclude an agreement with them to access these routes.

It is quite problematic to open new routes as well. They are developed by the Ministry of Transport of the region together with local authorities, and a whole bunch of papers are collected for their approval, including calculations of economic feasibility, organizational section, technological calculation, and so on. The choice of the carrier is carried out through tenders held by local administrations. It is almost impossible to win a tender without connections, especially when it comes to profitable routes.

Ready-made ideas for your business

To find out all the features of obtaining a permit for a route and entering this business in general, it is best for an entrepreneur to familiarize himself with its components from the inside in advance: namely, to communicate with the owners and drivers of buses and other knowledgeable people. It is quite possible that there may not be any legal ways to get a route. And then a beginner may be required to pay an impressive amount of up to several hundred thousand rubles. Moreover, the hope that the "one-time contribution" will solve all matters may also be destroyed. It is no secret that those organizations that have managed to enter this business have to regularly support the goodwill of the inspection bodies.

Both carriers and passengers agree that the traditional "Gazelle" as a route taxi has already outlived its usefulness. These cars do not enjoy popular love because of their uncomfortable dimensions and too low ceilings. The capacity of a regular route “Gazelle” is 8 passenger seats, which is not very pleasing for carriers who are interested in the greatest financial return on their workhorses. On the other hand, Gazelle remains the cheapest option for starting a business. A used car until 2010 can be purchased in the range of 40-170 thousand rubles, a car in 2011-2013. will cost 210-350 thousand rubles, and newer "Gazelles" can be purchased for 400-890 thousand rubles. The new Gazelle will cost around 1 million rubles.

More spacious, elongated "Gazelles" for 12 seats will cost around 1-1.3 million rubles. But with that kind of money, the entrepreneur has much more choice. For example, you can buy a good used minibus of one of the foreign brands, or add a couple of hundred thousand and buy a new “Gazelle Next” with a capacity of 18 people. 18 passenger seats (in various modifications up to 20-22 seats) - this is the most common capacity of minibuses today. In this class, you can find about a dozen options, the most popular of which are minibuses Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Classic, Ford Transit, Volkswagen Crafter, Iveco Daily, Citroen Jumper, Peugeot boxer, GAZ Next and Hyundai County. Moreover, the assembly of the latter has not been carried out in Russia since 2014, as well as supplies from South Korea have been discontinued, so only a used version can be purchased.

There is no consensus on which model is definitely better and more reliable. Of course, buying a used car as a minibus is always a risk, so if you have limited financial resources, you should use leasing services. For legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, leasing is an excellent opportunity not only to lower the threshold for entering a business, but also to save money in the process of tax payments, since payments under leasing contracts can be taken into account in the form of current costs attributable to the prime cost.

What are the requirements for minibus drivers

The carrier's staff can only be completed by qualified drivers with category “D” licenses. Moreover, the driving experience in this category should not be less than 3 years. It is also necessary to have a medical certificate of admission to transport control. The number of suitable candidates is limited, therefore, private traders often sin and hire unprofessional drivers or employees dismissed for offenses from municipal transport companies.

The driver of the minibus is obliged to follow the instructions of the dispatching personnel, observe the schedule of movement along the route, know the places of stops, dangerous sections of the road, bypass schemes for repair areas, navigate the location of medical institutions, gas stations and service points.

As for the salaries of minibus drivers, the salary system is not used by entrepreneurs in practice. In fact, drivers work according to the established rate, which may differ on weekdays and weekends, and the salary, if any, is minimal. In this case, the driver's revenue includes the amount in excess of the required rate. The disadvantage of such a scheme is that in pursuit of revenue, following the route turns into a battle for passengers with other minibusters, with undercuts, mutual insults, standing idle at a bus stop and racing with excess speed until the next stop. As a result, a largely vicious system develops: drivers think of passengers as the last thing, massively overwork, spending 14-16 hours in the cab, and if the “plan” is not paid, they may be deprived of their bonuses or require additional payments from their personal funds. This is not to mention traffic violations, accidents and more.

Often, the scheme for building a business on minibuses is such that the driver himself is the owner of the minibus, who is responsible for washing and refueling himself, performing minor maintenance, including replacing pads, oil, bulbs and filters, as well as carrying out major repairs and providing parking in a personal garage. He, of course, spends on everything to a minimum, since he already gives half of the proceeds to the business owner. As a result, passengers get "broken-down" minibuses. Unfortunately, more often than not, the labor relationship between drivers and the owners of the carrier companies leaves much to be desired and resembles more of a “tribute collection”. The turnover in this business is huge, and at the root of most of the problems, of course, is human greed.

Ready-made ideas for your business

Another option, which the more conscientious carriers choose, is to remove the bus driver from all other duties except driving on the buses provided by the company. In this case, the cost of gasoline, maintenance, washing and repairs remain with the company. The solution to the issue of transparency of payments in public transport in our country is still in no hurry. The problem could be solved by the introduction of a non-cash payment system with the installation of validators, but such a measure is effective only if it brings real benefits to passengers and operates on all types of urban transport. One way or another, an entrepreneur still needs to know the daily revenue plan, no matter what payment system he introduces. The best option would be to personally ride the route with the driver as a conductor and calculate income on different days of the week.

Returning to the requirements for drivers, do not forget about their human qualities. Drivers not only should not be reckless, they should be able to get along with people. It's no secret that working in a minibus is a rather nervous and exhausting business. It is extremely important to be able to control yourself, because almost every day you have to deal with inadequate passengers, violent, arguing and so on.

What are the requirements for servicing minibuses

Everything motor vehicles must be serviced at a service station and checked by a mechanic before each departure to work for malfunctions. Also, before the flight, drivers must be examined by a doctor and receive permission to perform their duties. If there is no medical worker in the state, then you will need to conclude an agreement with one of the medical institutions to provide the appropriate services.

Minibuses must have vehicle license cards. You cannot do without equipping with GLONASS satellite monitoring devices and tachographs. Cars must be in good technical condition, and the type of vehicle must correspond to the type of transportation.

The entrepreneur should also take care of where to park the cars after hours and how the maintenance of the cars will be carried out: in-house or by a third-party organization. To be in touch with their drivers, the office and the adjacent territory of the car park are equipped. The rent can be a serious expense item, so it is advisable to find a place on the outskirts of the city.

How much does it cost to open a business by taxi

There is no unequivocal answer to the question of how much it costs to open a business on a route taxi. It all depends on which region it is planned to start in, whether or not it is planned to purchase a fleet of vehicles, whether other services will be provided. Some investment guidelines can be obtained from the advertisements for the sale of a ready-made business. A ready-made business with all the documentation, a minibus and drivers who agree to work for a new owner will cost from 650 to 1350 thousand rubles. The option of buying a ready-made business can be attractive because the entrepreneur will be relieved of many initial bureaucratic obstacles and will be able to rely on a certain flow of customers. In this case, the buyer will only have to find out exactly why the owner is selling his business. In the main period, the expenditure part of the business may include parking rent, wages fund, expenses for fuel and lubricants, insurance, maintenance and repairs. Also, current costs may include a subscription fee for the route, payment of medical care, taxes.

How much do minibuses earn

Finally, we come to the most interesting question. Namely, to the question of how much route taxis earn. On average, a route with one minibus in the vehicle fleet brings in about 85-90 thousand rubles a month. The range of net profit varies from 60 to 150 thousand rubles per month with a turnover of 100 to 250 thousand rubles. Accordingly, three minibuses can bring profit from 180 to 450 thousand rubles.

The amount of income, in addition to operating costs, strongly depends on the specific route, the seasonal behavior of passengers and their weekly schedule. Of course, the most profitable is the business that earns on weekdays, that is, on the "work-home" route. Nobody makes a bet on weekends and transportation of summer residents. On weekends, revenue and net profit may decrease by 2-3 times relative to weekdays.

You can increase your profit by placing advertisements inside or outside minibuses. Printed products are most often used in the cabin: leaflets, banners, booklets, which are placed in places in front of passengers, for example, on the backs of seats. A special film with a pattern is applied to the body of the bus. The design is carried out by employees of advertising agencies.

What trends and pitfalls are there in the minibus business?

Due to the fact that large sums of money are circulating in business on minibuses, one of its main features is its closeness. If we are talking about large cities, then, most likely, all profitable routes have long been divided among the major players. The minibus business is a very corrupt and highly competitive industry. Even if one wishes to strictly adhere to the letter of the law, a budding entrepreneur may find that playing by the "fair rules" is not quoted in this market. In addition, the current transportation costs are often underestimated by newcomers. The repair of minibuses that are used in tough operation can be not only expensive, but also long-term. The lack of modern bus service stations can shut vehicles out of service for weeks or even months. Moreover, the entrepreneur is most often unable to increase revenue due to fixed tariffs. Tariffs may not change over the years, and services for repairs, maintenance and gasoline, meanwhile, continue to grow.

When opening a minibus business, one should also not ignore the main trends in this area. In recent years, there has been a growing understanding in Russia that the minibus is a type of transport that has a detrimental effect on the situation with public transport in general. One of the main problems of minibuses is their small capacity. If a minibus can accommodate 15-20 passengers, then a tram and a bus can accommodate 120 people. For cities suffering from traffic jams, it is clearly more effective to replace 6-8 minibuses with one bus or tram. Minibuses clog roads and stops, cause more accidents and generally exacerbate the situation on the roads.

Moreover, in terms of finance, minibuses are a real noose for municipal public transport. First, minibuses do not require expensive infrastructure. Secondly, the owners of minibuses save on literally everything, from repairing the train to paying taxes. They can leave the route without consequences at a later time of day if they consider it unprofitable. Municipal transport, of course, does not have such opportunities. Initially, unequal conditions put the miners in a winning situation. Gradually, they displace city buses from the busiest routes, and trams and trolleybuses are left with only privileged and unprofitable directions.

In large cities of the country, the authorities have long since realized this problem, but they still cannot get rid of the “minibus stranglehold”. The fact is that almost every municipality in the country has its own route lobby, which hinders the implementation of restrictive reforms. Minibuses are a business with unregulated cash flows, which is very convenient for laundering black cash. Therefore, minibuses in Russian cities have a solid "roof", and an attempt to prohibit minibuses or flatly refuse their owners to raise tariffs can play a cruel joke with the authorities. Such a step turns into the fact that the next morning the minibuses (and this is most of the city's public transport) simply ... do not go on the line. The city cannot replace minibuses with the forces of exhausted municipal transport. And it turns out to be a vicious circle, in which ordinary residents of the city remain the main victims. Moscow and Kazan have already deliberately abandoned minibuses, other million-plus cities are voicing similar plans. The trend, by the way, is global: at the moment, minibuses have remained mainly in the CIS countries, Africa and the Middle East.
