Concept

The conceptual apparatus in traffic rules is quite wide, however, the terms associated with parking are narrow in their perception and understanding, since they denote a specific situation from different points of view.

According to the traffic rules, parking is the process of reducing the speed and transferring a vehicle from a working state to a state of rest in a designated place.

This term clearly describes the actions of the driver aimed at stopping the operation of the vehicle. For example, parking is considered to be specially designated areas next to the supermarket or the house where the driver lives.

Legislation

The regulation of the actions of drivers in the implementation of parking maneuvers and generally leaving the car occurs within the framework.

This chapter consolidates:

  • places allowed for stopping transport;
  • features of parking or stopping vehicles on the sidelines;
  • long-term parking spaces;
  • places prohibited for stopping or parking.

This normative act is the source of the rules by which road traffic is carried out on the territory of Russia. At the same time, the Administrative Code also plays an important role, fixing the norms of punishment for violations of a particular point of traffic rules.

Difference between parking and parking

Defining significant differences between the different terms denoting stopping or parking a vehicle, helps to define them within the framework of current legislation.

  1. So, a stop is a temporary cessation of the movement of a car, lasting less five minutes from the moment of stopping the movement, while standing in traffic jams or at the place of loading and unloading of materials, objects, etc. is not considered a stop.
  2. Parking, in turn, represents a certain type of traffic interruption, but in this case, the vehicle remains at the same place for more five minutes, while this time does not take into account the period of embarkation of passengers, their disembarkation, as well as the presence of the car in a traffic jam or place of unloading.
  3. Parking, in turn, represents specially designated places or rooms for a long stay of the car. This place is characterized primarily by specially marked markings and is determined by the need.

    For example, In the courtyard for residents of houses, an in-yard parking can be organized, located in a residential area, while for visitors to shopping centers, cinemas, shops and other public places, each institution has its own parking spaces.

Unintentional movement cessation

The interruption of the movement of the car, which occurred without the fault of the driver, including an emergency situation, a traffic jam or for another reason, cannot be considered a parking or a stop as such. Because the definitions of these terms directly indicate the intentional cessation of movement.

In this case, the driver must either resume movement as soon as possible, or take all possible actions for him to remove the car from the roadway.

Usually, when a car breaks down, drivers call tow trucks, since the intentional abandonment of the vehicle can create an emergency situation for other road users.

Where it is impossible

Determining the places in which parking is prohibited, the traffic rules articles, which are installed under the numbers, are engaged. They define an exhaustive list of places in which both stopping and parking on a long-term basis are prohibited.

According to the traffic rules, the range of places where parking is prohibited is limited to the following locations:

  • tram lines, as well as the space located near them, since such a placement of the car significantly impairs the movement of trams;
  • railway crossings, and the space located closer 50 meters from the tracks, since such a disdainful placement of transport can lead to a serious accident and derailment of the train;
  • tunnels, since in low illumination of an enclosed space there is a high risk of causing a mass accident with many victims;
  • places on the overpass and under it, under the bridge and above, as well as overpasses, such an attitude to the rules can lead to serious consequences - victims among drivers and their passengers;
  • the side of the road, when the car is parked on which, there is little space left for the passage of other vehicles;
  • at the pedestrian crossing, as well as at a distance of less than five meters from the zebra;
  • on the highway, with a dangerous proximity of sharp turns;
  • an intersection on the carriageway;
  • near a bus stop, at a distance of less than fifteen meters from it, as well as places where taxi cars and minibuses are located;
  • places, when stopping at which other traffic participants cannot see the traffic light signs, as well as make it impossible to leave a limited area, for example, a courtyard;
  • on the cycle lane;
  • on the highway outside the city (village) when marking the carriageway

Variants

Parking of vehicles is carried out everywhere, and in order for the car not to be taken away by special services to the parking lot, drivers need to know the parking rules at certain city locations.

On the roadway

It is established that stopping vehicles on the road from the edge is possible only if the roadway does not have a shoulder. An important addition is the wording that cars, as well as mopeds and motorcycles can be parked on the sidewalk, but only if this is not prohibited by signs installed nearby.

It is also important that in the presence of a specially equipped parking lot or parking, stopping vehicles on the side of the road is a gross violation of traffic rules.

It is noted that parking or stopping on the left on the road is possible only on a one-way carriageway for each direction of transport.

Traffic rules parking in the courtyards of residential buildings

The regulatory legal act that regulates parking zones in courtyards is, which, in turn, determine the following provisions:

  • the minimum distance from the house with window openings to the parking lot must be at least ten meters;
  • the placement of parking lots must be coordinated with the Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Authority and upon its permission, otherwise it can entail significant problems and large fines for the management company that has placed parking in the courtyard of the house.

In case of non-observance of the established norms, residents of houses can apply to the authorized bodies with a complaint and a statement, on the basis of which a check of the legality of the parking located in the courtyard will be carried out.

In the parking lot

Within the framework, leaving transport is also allowed on the road, but only in one a row from the side of the road. In this case, motorcycles or mopeds can be placed in two row, if they are in a lightweight version - without cradles and trailers.

Vehicle parking in parking lots is determined by a road sign underneath, as well as road markings.

In this case, various plates can be installed, establishing, for example, the time allowed for parking, the transport that is allowed to park in this particular place, and so on.

It is important that the restriction in the parking zone must be fixed with a corresponding sign, as is done when it is possible to park vehicles on the sidewalks - in such a parking lot are installed additional designations with decoding, establishing the possibility of parking light vehicles - cars, mopeds, bicycles, etc.

Views

The types of parking lots are determined by the corresponding signs, which are installed in conjunction with the main parking sign. This measure allows you to leave your car for a certain time as safely as possible and without violating the current traffic rules.

Reverse

According to the conclusion of traffic inspectors and examiners, this method of parking is the most difficult for a beginner to implement, since it requires more than just concentration on the movement and a peculiar sense of the dimensions of the car.

Based on the presented images, it can be concluded that the car can be parked on the side of the road, directly next to the sidewalk, partly on the sidewalk when the rear of the car is located on it and completely on the sidewalk.

Parallel

Parallel parking is carried out primarily to save space on the roadway with its small size.

This method will allow other motorists to move regardless of whether the car is on the side of the road or not, since such a setting contributes to the comfort of the entire mass of motorists.

Parallel parking is indicated by signs underneath, which may indicate the need to use the sidewalk space in whole or in part.

For invalids

Usually, a parking space intended for disabled people is marked directly on the roadway, since, At first, such markup is clearly visible, Secondly, there is very little chance that an inattentive motorist will miss him, and third, it is easily visible for people with disabilities.

The designation of a parking space for people with disabilities follows the c sign, which makes it easily recognizable among everyone - from ardent motorists who have spent half their lives driving, to newcomers who have recently received a license.

What a responsibility

Responsibility for violation of parking rules is regulated by the Administrative Code and depends entirely on the significance of the violation.

This is geometry. If you see correctly all the points to which you just need to navigate, you can safely learn how to park. If you learn to work clearly on landmarks, any parking will be easy for you.

If there is room more than your car by 1: 4 the length or width of the car, you can get in there without any problems.

If the place is tight, then some manipulations will have to be done. This is not a problem either!

Drive up. If there are other cars nearby, you stop, make sure that there is enough space for you. Then you warn everyone with an emergency signal so that no one is the first to take your place.
Drive forward, stop the car at the first point along which you need to navigate. It is at the level of your obstacle.

We stopped the car at the first point. The right rear corner of the car should be near this landmark. Unscrew the wheels to the right and spin the car so that the rear center clearly “looks” at the second reference point of the rear far corner (point 2).

At this moment, straighten the wheels and back up, until the right fender crossed the conditional line for which you want to refuel your car.

Unscrew the wheels point-blank to the left, back up and refuel the car.

When you go out, carefully study the situation on the road. In order not to open the door at the moment when someone will drive along the road.

Entrance to the parking lot

Back up all the way. To free up the distance in front of the vehicle as much as possible.

We unscrew the wheels to the left. We take the car out of the front corner (point 1).

Then we take the car on straight wheels behind the B-pillar. We unscrew the wheels to the right and join the general stream.

If you have limited space, and you need to park, for example, between two cars or a vehicle and a fence, you need to define three landmarks for yourself: 1 - the first limitation, 2 - the second limitation, 3 - parking depth.

We bump into the middle front bumper into the far corner of the constraint (1).

After that, we carefully return it.

When the right front corner is in line with the middle of the parking width (3), start moving forward.

To get out of the car and not damage either your own or the neighboring car, you need to additionally take the width 1: 3/1: 4 of the width of the vehicle.

It is imperative to guide the vehicle over the front axle.

We turn the wheels in the direction where you want to go and where traffic rules are allowed. If you understand that you will be in front parked car, you may need to drive forward again, turn the wheels to the right even more steeply, and only then go forward.

Reverse parking algorithm

When you drive in forward, you deprive yourself of free maneuvering when leaving. Therefore, it is better to park the car reverse to the curb, and the front to the roadway.

You need to drive forward and set the rear of the car at the level of the first limit (1).

From the reverse, we go back and turn the car so that the rear part rested against the corner of another limitation (2).

They moved forward. And as soon as you see the parking lot in the rear-view mirrors, we begin to refuel the car back.

The picture in the mirrors must continue. At the same time, we direct the center of the car to the middle of the width of the parking lot.

The constant, uninterrupted movement of the vehicle is impossible: both the driver and the technician must rest. Or, in other words, switch to stop or stop mode.

We note only one important circumstance: the presence of both signs and markings is an incomparable boon for the driver. And all because they are a very visual way of regulating stopping and parking, and the car owner can personally be convinced of the correctness (or, unfortunately, incorrectness) of their actions.

However, the presence or absence of the previously indicated signs and markings does not yet exhaust the principles of stopping and parking, for which a special section in the traffic rules is allocated.

Section 12 of traffic rules: general principles of stopping and parking

The 12th section of the traffic rules is specifically devoted to the rules for stopping and parking (in the event that they are not prohibited by the signs and markings already considered).

So, the driver needs to sacredly remember “ Golden Rule»: both stopping and parking are allowed on the right side of the road - on the side of the road.

Under any circumstances, the car owner, when planning parking, can do it right here (unless, of course, it is prohibited by other traffic rules).

However, in large and medium-sized settlements, the roadside, as a rule, is absent. In such cases, the Rules allow stopping and parking on the right side of the road - at the edge of the carriageway.

The driver must clearly understand that if there is a roadside and the ability to stop and park on it, he is prohibited from using the roadway for these purposes.

Such tactics will be a gross violation of traffic rules, and most often drivers commit it when driving outside the village. Thus, they not only form obstacles to the movement of other Vehicle, but also contribute to the creation of an emergency situation in high-speed traffic conditions.

The rules provide for stopping and parking not only on the right side of the road. In two cases, it is allowed to park on its left side.... But both of these options are directly related to the road sections of the settlement.

1. Two-lane road (one lane for each direction) with no tram lines in the middle.

Stopping and parking on the left side of such roads, at first glance, looks unsafe. After all, leaving such a parking lot will be carried out from the oncoming lane. However, in the village - under the conditions of the current restriction speed mode- this danger does not seem so serious. But the need to find a parking space - on the contrary - looks like a rather urgent problem.

The requirement for the absence of tram tracks in the middle of the road.

It is just that in this case it will be unsafe for the vehicle to leave the parking lot on the left side of a very wide road.

2. A one-way road.

The right to stop on the left side of a one-way road should not cause skepticism or rejection, because movement along the entire width of the carriageway is carried out in one direction.

True, truck drivers, whose permitted maximum mass exceeds 3.5 t, it must be remembered that in these conditions they are only allowed to stop and only for loading and unloading the vehicle.

As for the situation outside the built-up area, here any driver must refrain from stopping on the left side of the road, as well as from long-term parking (for a long rest, overnight stay, etc.) within the road. He should find a special parking area or drive off the road.

This requirement is intended to ensure maximum safety for both a standing vehicle and those moving on the road. In unforeseen situations, the shoulder can become a section, thanks to which a collision can be avoided by changing over to it. Therefore, it is desirable to be free on the side of the road outside the settlement.

But on the "Motorway" (5.1), for example, as on either the M4, and the "Road for cars" (5.3), stopping and parking, in general, are allowed only at special sites, which, in addition, should be marked with appropriate signs indicating the possibility parking.

Within the limits of such a road - both on the carriageway and on the side of the road - stopping and parking are strictly prohibited. This limitation is associated with the intensity of traffic on such sections of the road, and with them.

Vehicle location when parking

When positioning a vehicle in conditions of stopping and parking, it is necessary to remember one more "golden rule": the vehicle is allowed to be parked only in one row and only parallel to the carriageway. The only exception to this rule is two-wheeled vehicles, which can be parked in two rows.

A different parking method is allowed only if it is indicated accordingly by the signs “Method of parking the vehicle”, as well as by horizontal road marking lines indicating parking “boxes”.

In this case, it is allowed to make stops and parking at an angle to the carriageway and even using the sidewalk space. But in this case, there must be an appropriate indication of the plate for this method of setting.

In these conditions, the driver must remember one more requirement: to put at an angle to the carriageway or on the sidewalk. The rules only allow cars, motorcycles, mopeds and bicycles. It is prohibited to park other vehicles at an angle to the carriageway or use the sidewalk space.

Such parking methods are not available to all other vehicles. They may stop and park only parallel to the carriageway and only when this method is permitted.

Thus, the position of the vehicle when parking relative to the carriageway must be parallel, unless signs and / or markings indicate a different way of parking the vehicle.

Where it is prohibited to stop and park vehicles

Special cases of prohibition of stopping

Clause 12.4 of the SDA is devoted to cases when drivers are strictly prohibited from stopping (and, therefore, parking). All these cases, provided for by the Rules, have one common property: in such areas, stopping and parking is not safe.

1. Stopping is prohibited on tram lines and in the immediate vicinity of tram lines, if at the same time the stopped vehicle will create any obstacles to the movement of the tram.

The ban on stopping in such places is associated with the impossibility of continuing the movement of rail vehicles, because the tram will not be able to bypass the obstacle that has arisen on its rails.

2. Stopping is prohibited at level crossings.

It is unlikely that a sane person would object to the ban on stopping on railway tracks, which are a particularly dangerous section of the road. The driver must remember that the boundaries of the railway crossing are limited by barriers or signs "Single-track railway" (1.3.1) or "Multi-track railway" (1.3.2), installed at the entrance and exit from the crossing. It is here that stopping is prohibited.

3. Stopping is prohibited in tunnels.

As a rule, tunnel portals are not so wide, and stopping here will interfere with the smooth and safe movement of other vehicles. And the drivers themselves strive to drive through the confined spaces of the tunnels as quickly as possible.

4. Stopping is prohibited on bridges, overpasses, overpasses and under them (there is an exception).

The prohibition of stopping at artificial spans is determined by a number of circumstances:

  • limited space;
  • the danger of placing a large number of vehicles here, creating pressure on the supporting structures of the structure, etc.

The prohibition of stopping under such artificially created objects is conditioned by the same limited space.

However, the driver must remember an important exception to this rule.

If ON a bridge, ON an overpass, ON an overpass (but not under them) in this direction there are at least three lanes for traffic, then stopping and parking ON such structures are allowed.

5. Stopping is prohibited on sections where the distance between the stopped vehicle and the solid marking line (except 1.2.1), the opposite edge of the carriageway or the dividing strip is less than 3 meters.

Let's understand the intricacies of this provision.

The absence of a 3-meter interval between stopped vehicles and a solid marking line makes it very difficult for others to bypass them without violating traffic rules. They will be forced to break the Rules.

The same circumstance applies in the case of the median strip and the opposite edge of the carriageway, when the drivers of other vehicles, both physically (because of the curb) and legally, will not be able to bypass a stopped vehicle.

6. Stopping is prohibited at pedestrian crossings, as well as closer than 5 meters in front of them.

The prohibition of stopping and parking at a pedestrian crossing is understandable: otherwise, it will interfere with the movement of pedestrians, who will take advantage of this section.

The required 5-meter distance in front of the pedestrian crossing should provide visibility to the driver of an approaching vehicle. In this case, a pedestrian entering a pedestrian crossing will not be an unpleasant surprise for drivers.

7. Stopping is prohibited on the carriageway in conditions of limited visibility (less than 100 meters in any direction).

This restriction of stopping and parking is introduced so that in difficult road conditions on the roadway there were no obstacles in the face of stopped vehicles. This circumstance significantly complicates the oncoming passing. But this rule only applies to.

Stopping and parking on the side of the road is not prohibited.

8. Stopping is prohibited at intersections of carriageways and 5 meters before and after them (there is an exception).

The prohibition of stopping and parking at the intersections of carriageways is quite natural. After all, how will other participants move in this case? road traffic?

A very important circumstance. Some drivers say that stopping and parking is prohibited. This is wrong: exactly at the intersections of carriageways and 5 meters before and after them. And this is essential!

Let's look at the next example.

Before us is a roundabout. It is formed by three intersections of carriageways. And stopping (with parking) at such an intersection is allowed, but subject to a 5-meter distance to each intersection.

It is important to note that there is one exception to this rule: at a T-junction with a solid marking line (or dividing strip) opposite the side driveway, stopping and parking are allowed. Naturally, subject to the 3-meter spacing to the solid line (or dividing line).

This exception is understandable. With a solid line (or dividing strip) at such an intersection, left turns and U-turns are prohibited. Therefore, a vehicle standing in front of a side passage will not interfere with the straight-line movement of other vehicles.

Conversely, an interrupted lane marking at an intersection will create congestion and lead to congestion.

9. Stopping is prohibited at public transport stops (route vehicles) and passenger taxi stands, as well as 15 meters before and after them (there is an exception).

Such a restriction on stopping and parking is explained by the need for the unhindered movement of route vehicles and passenger taxis.

As for the 15-meter distance before and after such places, this requirement is connected with the prospect of unhindered exit of such vehicles from the specified sections of the road.

If there is a “yellow broken line” marking (1.18), the driver must measure the prescribed 15 meters on each side of the marking line. And in the absence of markings - from signs 5.16 - 5.18.

The exception to the rule under consideration is as follows: drivers are allowed to stop at public transport stops and passenger taxi stands only if two conditions are met (simultaneously):

  • for embarking and disembarking a passenger;
  • provided that there is no interference with route vehicles and light taxis.

Therefore, it is not at all necessary when boarding and disembarking passengers at a bus stop. The main thing is not to interfere with the "minibuses" by dropping or seating passengers.

10. Stopping is prohibited in those places where a stopped vehicle will make it impossible for other vehicles to enter or exit, interfere with pedestrians, and also close traffic control devices (signs or traffic lights).

This prohibition is obvious.

For example, the driver truck closed the road sign "Stopping prohibited" for other drivers.

And this situation takes a very long time to deal with. There are many offenders here. Only this is how they manage to part ways.

11. Stopping is prohibited on the cyclist lane.

Everything here is clear and without comment. This is a lane only for cyclists, and drivers of motor vehicles have nothing to do on it: neither for movement, nor for stopping or parking.

Special cases of prohibition of parking

According to traffic rules, parking is prohibited in places where stopping is prohibited. This circumstance is quite logical, because, as noted earlier, it is impossible to park without first stopping (at least for 5 minutes).

So, parking (as well as stopping) is prohibited:

1) on tram lines and in the immediate vicinity of tram lines, if at the same time a stopped vehicle will create any obstacles to the movement of the tram;

2) at level crossings;

3) in tunnels;

4) on bridges, overpasses, overpasses and under them (except for cases when ON the bridge, ON the overpass, ON the overpass (but not under them) in this direction there are at least three lanes for traffic);

5) on sections where the distance between the stopped vehicle and the solid marking line (except for 1.2.1), the opposite edge of the carriageway or the dividing strip is less than 3 meters;

6) at pedestrian crossings, as well as closer than 5 meters in front of them;

7) on the carriageway in conditions of limited visibility (less than 100 meters in any direction);

8) at the intersections of carriageways and 5 meters before and after them (except for the case of parking at a T-shaped intersection with a solid marking line (or dividing strip) opposite the side passage);

9) in places of stops of public transport (route vehicles) and parking of passenger taxis, as well as 15 meters before and after them;

10) in those places where a stopped vehicle will make it impossible for another vehicle to enter or exit, will interfere with pedestrians, and will also close traffic control devices (signs or traffic lights);

11) on the cyclist lane.

Apart from these cases, parking is prohibited in two more sections.

1. Parking is prohibited outside the built-up area on the carriageway of roads marked with the sign " the main road"(2.1).

The ban on parking on such a section of the road is due to the high speed of movement outside the settlement. Especially if the movement is carried out on a main road. In such conditions, a vehicle standing on the roadway will be an obvious obstacle. And if a short stop here is allowed, then parking using the carriageway is excluded by the Rules for reasons of elementary safety.

Therefore, outside the built-up area on the carriageway marked with the sign "Main road", parking is allowed only on the side of the road or outside the road.

2. Parking is prohibited in the 50-meter zone before and after railway crossings.

Parking, like stopping, is prohibited at a railway crossing. This is out of the question. But parking cannot be carried out even at a distance of 50 meters before and after the move.

This prohibition is explained by the danger of this section of the road located in the immediate vicinity of the railway tracks.

Actions of the driver and passengers when stopping and parking

When stopping or parking, the driver and passengers are prohibited from opening the doors of the vehicle if these actions interfere with other road users.

Agree, a textbook example and a very common mistake of both drivers and passengers.

In the event that the driver is going to leave the vehicle and leave it unattended, he is obliged to do everything possible to exclude the possibility of involuntary movement of the vehicle, as well as its unauthorized use.

This means that it is necessary to restrict the access of unauthorized persons to the vehicle (close the door and trunk locks, use the anti-theft system provided by the design, put the car on the alarm, etc.).

Thus, the driver's knowledge of the rules for stopping and parking vehicles will allow, on the one hand, to avoid punishment in accordance with the current legislation (in the form administrative fine i), and on the other hand, - keep your vehicle intact (or at least make it difficult for unauthorized entry into it and illegal takeover of it).

    In Europe, for micro-cars (for example Smart), in order to instill interest in them, a number of concessions have been made in the orientation of the car when parking: 2 cars per one place, permission to put across, etc. It seems to me that it would be nice to introduce this into our traffic rules - you see, people will change from their huge cars, freeing up a lot of space!

    Dmitry Borisovich

    I agree with Vitaly, When the Tundra stands near the roadside parking sign, then the soul is not calm.
    In general, you need to know the parking rules, our traffic police officers like to write out fines for allegedly incorrect parking. Not everyone has traffic rules with him and is able to object to the inspectors.

    Alexey

    We are in trouble with parking for disabled people. It is occupied by quite healthy people. I myself paid for the parking 2 weeks ago. I got into the territory of a paid parking lot. But the car was taken away by a tow truck, and I was fined for parking in places for the disabled. There was no sign “For the disabled” on the road surface, only the sign “Parking for the disabled”, hidden in the foliage of the tree. That's how I got caught for my carelessness. It turns out that the society of people with disabilities thought there were not enough parking spaces in the city, they were increased by 10% on demand, and they did not have time to update the markings.

    Oksana

    I often re-read information about road signs and markings on the Internet. Innovations may take effect and you may not know about them! Every driver should always be aware of the rules, and repetition, as they say, is the mother of learning!

    Alexandra

    I myself drive a Toyota IQ, it would be great if similar concessions for mini-cars were legalized in our country. In general, everything is sad with parking, I constantly see cars standing right under the signs and nothing .. only in the city center somehow the traffic cops walk around and the tow truck works

    Vadim

    The most painful topic for both motorists and pedestrians. Now, with the introduction of paid parking, there are not so many options where to leave the car. Previously, I often traveled to Europe, and there for a long time you can leave your Smart Mini next to the same Mini for one place. Hurry, and in Russia such a law was adopted, you see, some would have moved to Smart Mini.

    It is a pity that not everyone knows the rules of correct parking, but they park their cars wherever they want, and then they complain that they have taken them to the parking lot. In resort cities, evacuators are actively working, and we constantly have traffic jams because of those who are too lazy to walk the extra 50 meters from the parking lot.
    And more often it is necessary to update the knowledge about traffic rules, otherwise you will not get rid of extra fines.

    Edward

    Once I was in a traffic jam and I see how some motorists go around the lane on the side of the road. Outrageous. What could threaten them for this? Of course, they are unlikely to be deprived of their rights, I think they will write out a fine, if so, in what amount?

    Galina

    I read the article and decided that the traffic rules need to be flipped over again. Over time, the information is forgotten, now I am guided only in everyday traffic situations.

    Paul

    I was in St. Petersburg, there was practically nowhere to stop at museums, I had to leave the car far along the road, so I noticed that traffic cops with a tape measure measured the distance from cars to intersections and pedestrian crossings... Half a meter drove into the tow truck!

    Nikolay

    Once he proved his case to an inspector. I stopped at the bridge, the view was beautiful on the city, I decided to take a picture. A traffic police car drove up and the inspector sat on me that stopping at this place was prohibited. There were three lanes in one direction, especially since I often saw that cars stopped here. In the distance was a sign that, according to the inspector, forbids stopping here. I had to walk around to make sure that the visible sign did not apply to this site. As a result, we parted without a fine, but the inspector promised to catch me in another place. Ten years have passed since then, I have not seen him again.

    Maria

    Particularly stressful are the parking signs by time and by even and odd numbers. Confused the date, looking for a car. I thought they stole it, but the tow truck took it away

    Ivanovich

    In the good old days, when there were significantly fewer cars on the roads, even then violation of the rules of stopping and parking was not uncommon. The most common violations were: stopping outside the city on the left side of the road, unloading passengers onto the carriageway. Many drivers did not understand what is the difference between the action of the signs "stop prohibited" and "parking prohibited". Drivers often stopped in prohibited places, making it difficult for other vehicles to move. At present, the situation has sharply deteriorated, especially in large cities, and even in regional centers. There are so many cars involved in the movement that a constant problem is the arrangement of organized parking lots and violation of parking rules. A caste of impudent drivers has formed, whose favorite habit is to stop the vehicle on the roadway, hiding behind the included emergency lights.

    Vladimir

    There are more and more cars on the road every day, but the number of competent drivers, unfortunately, is progressively decreasing. I am no longer surprised by a parked car across the parking lot markings.

    Tatiana

    When I got my license, I could not remember in any way which sign is the parking lot and which is the stop. And I also confused where on even and odd, on weekends it is forbidden to park. From time to time I also re-read about the signs, so as not to miss a new one.

    Sergey

    In the near future, all regulation should be transferred to CCTV cameras, naturally, the number of traffic police officers will be reduced. If, for example, I have a forced stop in the wrong place - a breakdown, feeling unwell, etc. In the usual case, you can stand as long as you like until you fix the problem or until the traffic police officers notice you, but in this case, you can prove your innocence on the spot. And what about the surveillance cameras after the fine arrives, because in most cases the evidence base may be absent for many reasons.

    Ivan

    Over the past month, three fines for parking in the wrong places. And as I see, in one place, the police were wrong.

    Despite a solid driving experience, parking in the city still causes certain difficulties. There is a lot of transport, all more or less suitable places are clogged, the markings are often either very tricky or worn out from old age, inspectors love to catch violators and it is not always possible to prove their case, given the rather complicated regulation in traffic rules, a lot of nuances, which, to be honest, are few , who knows. Sometimes it's easier to walk a kilometer on foot than to suffer, trying to get into the vacated "pockets". Outside of settlements it is easier, but when parking on "nimble" highways, of course, it is very desirable to drive away from the side of the road, otherwise many unpleasant stories happen, starting with fines, ending with an accident.

    Galina

    Parking is a serious problem in our roads and courtyards. If on the road the parking rules are still somehow observed, then in the yards this is a problem. They park wherever they want, in playgrounds, in flower beds.

    Oleg

    I read all the reviews and I am surprised, most complain that the stop sign is annoying them. I often see the following situation: the driver drives up to where stopping is prohibited, turns on the emergency gangs and went about his business. Specially timed, sometimes it was up to half an hour. Well, what kind of culture can we talk about then? And rightly so, that they are taken away by tow trucks, and then we complain that we have to look for the car. Let's comply with the requirements and then everyone will be happy.

    Peter

    Recently, paid parking near the shopping center, public events, etc. not fully regulated and often just half-empty. Drivers have to make workarounds in other free locations and create inconveniences for themselves and others. For example, I don’t want to pay freeloaders. And thus, the city administration, together with the traffic police, for profit, through which individual entrepreneur creates emergency situations and contributes to traffic violations, making a profit even at the expense of fines and evacuation.

    Leonid

    I stopped to take pictures at the dam through the yellow solid line, the traffic police immediately drove up and began to write out a fine! But who determined that I stand for more than 5 minutes and how to prove my case, is there such a possibility?

    Oleg

    In order not to sort things out with the traffic police, when I drive along the M2 highway, then most often I use not the side of the road, but exits to the forest or in the field, there already these rules do not apply and there is practically nothing to find fault with the traffic police. Yes, and the most calm, trucks do not fly by.

    Ivanovich

    Just yesterday. Driving along the street, the usual three-meter width of the road. A car is driving ahead. I keep my distance. Suddenly he starts to slow down and stops without pulling over to the side of the road. I decide which side to go around, when suddenly the stopped car starts moving in reverse right at me. He barely managed to dodge. That's what breaking the stopping rules means. At first I wanted to beat the driver, who made excuses that he did not see me. Ram.

    Sergey Sergeevich

    Here are smart people - they came up with a sign for a stop / parking "resting place", but they just forgot to indicate the range. What they just do not come up with - where to work, just not to work. On all suburban roads, I have the right to make a stop wherever I want, beyond the border of the roadway, on any side of the road where there are no prohibition signs. Therefore, what is such a sign for?

    Artyom

    What is a stop and a parking lot is clear to me, and the signs indicating parking places, parking lots and organized recreation sites are not scary. But prohibitory signs cause quite a bit of trouble, I especially do not like yellow markings, it would be better if the sign hung.

    Anton

    As always, winter came unexpectedly. In our city, as well as in others, it is likely that the observance of the rules of stopping and parking becomes more difficult due to their covering with snow. Organized parking lots cannot be cleaned by public utilities even at night, as they are busy with cars. For this reason, the snow rolls in and gets higher and higher. At the first thaw, the trampled snow turns into mush. It is difficult to enter the parking lot and it is not so easy to leave, the car stalls. I cannot understand how to solve this problem, because the culprits of this situation are not even the city authorities, but we, the drivers.

    Victor

    Yes, in winter it is sometimes impossible to comply with the rules of parking a car due to snowdrifts. but on the track and all the trouble. Only the emergency gang helps out.

    Michael

    There are so many inadequate places in Moscow where the 3.27 sign is installed, I mean places where stopping or parking a car does not bother anyone, and even all the courtyards were blocked by barriers, as if graciously invited to use by public transport, and let my swallow stand near the house in a paid parking lot.

    Tanya

    I have a neighbor who wanted to do all the rules, puts the car halfway on the curb, on the lanes, on parking lots for the disabled, and across two parking lots at once, and, as far as I know, apart from verbal discontent, nothing is done to him ( no fines, no confiscation of rights, nothing).

    Igor Ch.

    A good article for those who have never read the traffic rules. I don't understand the delight in the comments. After all, these are all common truths. Didn't you read the rules and hear about it for the first time? Well, buy the brochure "Traffic rules with comments" and discover a bunch of new things that you should have known about before getting behind the wheel. Go ape. We drive, and we learn the rules according to the articles in the tyrnet.

    Vladimir

    Do not even dream of remembering all traffic rules and rules for stopping and parking as well. And if at first, after passing the exams, you remember everything, then a couple of years will pass and 80% will be forgotten.
    The instructor told us: "Remember a simple rule: the cross is also a cross for us." That is, you cannot stop. And I remembered this for the rest of my life.
    And so, we do not care about parking. They can even leave the car on the tram tracks or block them, and I am not even talking about parking on lawns and sidewalks. Now it’s good that they’ve been evacuating steel, maybe they’ll teach something.

    Maksim

    There are nuances that separate a respectable driver from a traffic offender. I have come across very interesting places in Moscow, which can be called a trap for the driver. There is a sign prohibiting stopping, after it there is no crossroads or a yellow line, or a sign of the length of its action, but the sign of a parking space weighs, the whole humor is that this sign does not cancel the action of sign 3.27, which means that the driver, having used such a parking, can fly into a fine.

    Anton

    In the country, people do not care about everything, is the situation with parking lots, stops and so on surprising you? In my opinion, there is a reason - people do not care about each other, and the consequence is a huge number of accidents and conflicts. Especially on the road, people do not respect each other. Today I witnessed a collision of three cars, two more people were injured due to the disrespect of one driver

Stopping and parking of cars is one of the regular conditions of vehicles, in which it is required to comply with certain rules for stopping and parking, specified in clause 12 of the SDA. Violators will be fined for non-compliance with the instructions.

Rules for stopping and parking vehicles

12.1 Stopping is permitted for vehicles on the side of the road on the right side road lanes or on the edge of the carriageway, if the roadside is not provided for. If the situation is suitable for case 12.2, then parking and stopping on the sidewalk is allowed... If there is a roadside, stopping not at this section, but at the edge of the carriageway, will be considered a traffic violation.

Parking on the left side of the road is allowed only when the carriageway is located in a built-up area on a road with a single lane for both directions or when there is one-way traffic on it. In this case, signs 5.23.1 or 5.23.2 must be present, there must be no continuous markings and tram tracks. Allowed only for two-lane roads. On a three-lane road, stopping on the left side is prohibited.

12.2 It is permissible to park the vehicle parallel to the edge of the carriageway in one row, and if the vehicle has two wheels, then it is allowed to use two rows. To determine the method of installing the vehicle in the parking lot, use a special sign 6.4 plus plate 8.6.1 - 8.6.9. Additionally, appropriate markup may be present.

Only bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, cars can stand on the edge of the sidewalk, the border of which is next to the carriageway. This rule is valid in the presence of sign 6.4 and a plate from the list:

  • 8.4.7;
  • 8.6.2;
  • 8.6.3;
  • 8.6.6 - 8.6.9.

On trucks the stop permit does not apply. The absence of the 6.4 mark automatically removes all permissions specified in this clause.

12.3 For a stopover for the night or rest outside the boundaries of the settlement, special areas are provided, which are located in the zone of operation of signs 6.4 and 7.11.

12.4 In what places is it prohibited to stop:

  • on the territory of railway crossings, on bridges, overpasses, overpasses if there are less than three lanes for traffic in one direction, under the indicated objects;
  • in the area of tram tracks, both on the rails themselves and nearby, if this interferes with the normal operation of the tram;
  • in those places where the free distance between the dividing solid marking line, the opposite edge of the roadway or the dividing strip and the vehicle that has made a stop remains less than three meters;
  • on the bike path;
  • at the intersection of carriageways, as well as closer than 5 meters from the edge of the crossed carriageway, after subtracting the side opposite the side passage of the intersections of three sides, which have a dividing strip or a solid marking line;
  • in the area of the carriageway of the roadway next to dangerous turns, convex fractures of the longitudinal profile of the road, if the visibility on it at least in one direction is less than 100 m;
  • in places where the location of a stopped vehicle will obstruct drivers' view of traffic lights, road signs either impedes or terminates the access of other vehicles or obstructs the passage of pedestrians;
  • less than 15 m from the stops of fixed-route vehicles or the parking place of a passenger taxi. An exception is the embarkation or disembarkation of passengers, provided that the process does not interfere with other traffic participants.

12.5 Parking is prohibited, where stopping and parking is openly prohibited, within a radius of 50 m from railway crossings, as well as outside settlements on the carriageway marked with sign 2.1. If only parking is prohibited, then stopping for a short time is permitted.

12.6 Forced stopping of vehicles, where stopping of transport is prohibited, the driver must take all measures to ensure that his car is removed from the prohibited zone.

12.7 Do not open doors when it can interfere with other road users.

12.8 You can leave the vehicle after stopping when the driver is convinced that spontaneous vehicle movement or an attempt to use the vehicle in the absence of the driver will not occur.

Stop and parking signs are prohibited

  • sign 3.27 - stop and parking sign is prohibited;
  • No parking sign with information signs
  • signs 3.29 and 3.30 - stop sign is prohibited (+ on even and odd days of the month + with information signs)

Area of validity of the sign stopping and parking is prohibited
The area of action of the sign "Stop prohibited"

Each of these signs imposes its own restrictions, which are more complex in nature.

Rules for stopping and parking vehicles: video course

Every person who lives in a multi-storey building and owns a car should know that there are special rules according to which you need to park. And this is not a whim of those who do not have cars. Let's see what they are, the rules for parking in the yards. There are many nuances and important points, and it is desirable to pay attention to everything.

Why are these rules invented?

Indeed, it is quite a natural question. After all, it is much more convenient to put the car the way you want. Generally, as close to your home or your window as possible. You will be able to watch your car from the window of your apartment, and if necessary, you do not need to go far. But have you ever wondered that not everyone likes it? Most likely, you are not the only one with your own transport. There are quite a lot of such people in the entrance, and if everyone puts the car the way he wants, this will significantly complicate access to the entrance, for example, an ambulance, police, fire department. And those who do not have a car are unlikely to be satisfied - they will have to breathe your exhaust gases and constantly stay awake because of the noise of a running engine. This is why the rules for parking in the courtyards were invented. Now let's figure out all the nuances.

Parking in the courtyard of an apartment building: what not to do

First, let's talk about what's strictly prohibited. First, you should not leave your vehicle on lawns and sidewalks, as these places are for pedestrians, not your cars. It is also strictly forbidden to obstruct free passage.

Therefore, the car should stand in a specially designated place, of course, if there is one. Consequently, other machines as well Ambulance, police, fire, gas service must have free access to each entrance of a multi-storey building. It is worth paying attention to the presence of shops near your home. You cannot park your vehicle closer than 10 meters from the doors of such an establishment. This is due to the fact that a car with goods may arrive, and the road will be closed. If your car stays in the wrong place for too long, then there is a high probability that a special service will arrive and take the transport to the parking lot or angry residents of the house will damage your car.

car in yards

And now I would like to talk about how and where to put your iron horse... that there are a lot of options here, most still prefer to do as they like, but as practice shows, complaints from neighbors come very soon, like broken glass of a car, damaged paintwork, broken wheels, etc. unpleasant moments. You probably never thought about the fact that there are special parking rules. SDA, clause 26.2. "About parking in a residential area." It is clearly written there that the vehicle must stand in specially designated places. There are several options here. This can be a paid parking lot not far from the house, or directly in the courtyard of special places where you are obliged to park your car. As practice shows, such places are always in short supply, and in most cases, they are simply absent.

What should car owners do?

In fact, from this it is unlikely that it will be possible to ensure that you have a dozen more parking spaces in the yard. Therefore, you need to either use paid parking or put the car in the garage. But if there is neither one nor the other, and the transport still needs to be put somewhere, then you need to look for a place. In addition, the new rules for parking in courtyards state that it is prohibited to leave vehicles in the wrong place in the courtyard, as this violates the law "On parking and parking". But don't worry, there is a way out. You need to go to the traffic police and explain the situation. In any case, employees must react, if not immediately. And naturally, you should understand that if your transport is standing where it does not bother anyone, then there will hardly be any problems. You can talk to your neighbors or install a normal muffler that won't wake people up in the middle of the night. Besides, modern cars work quietly enough.

A little more about what is prohibited

Despite the fact that a lot has already been said, modern rules for parking a car in yards still provide for a lot. In particular, it is not permitted to park your machine in the immediate vicinity of waste containers. This makes it difficult to access the corresponding service. The minimum distance should be about five meters. As for the sidewalks, it was noted that vehicles should not be left on them. But if there is a permitting sign, then this can be done. Although this is extremely rare. Please note that you can bet a car or a motorcycle at the edge of the sidewalk. But for the free movement of a pedestrian, there should be about two meters more.

Several important points

You must understand that parking with the engine running is prohibited. If the time exceeds more than 5 minutes, then it is quite possible to get a fine for this. An exception is loading / unloading something or boarding passengers. Problems may also arise due to the fact that you left the car where it interferes with a pedestrian, as this is prohibited by traffic rules. Parking rules in courtyards state that specially designated areas must be used for this. If you own a GAZelle or other transport, the total weight of which exceeds 3.5 tons, then such a vehicle must be parked in specially designated places. It is forbidden to unauthorized installation of parking barriers, as this must be done by special services. If the traffic police inspector records this, then there will be a lot of problems.

A little about the requirements for parking

As noted a little above, you do not have the right to create your own parking space with your own hands. Therefore, everything should be provided by the appropriate services. Even at the design stage, the parking space should be included in the plans of the builders. This is about 50 places per house. All rules and regulations must be strictly observed, since repeated violation of parking rules in courtyards leads to serious fines, and this, you see, is not very pleasant. The construction of so-called parking garages for 100 cars is allowed. Basically, you can build a garage for your car 10 meters from your apartment building. If there are no windows and exit from the side of the building, then this distance can be reduced to 7.5 meters. Hence, it is very close. But do not forget to agree on everything before construction.

What else do you need to know

Always make sure that your transport does not interfere with both cars and pedestrians. You can park the car under your window, of course, if not against the other neighbors. As for temporary stops, there can be no problems here. If you leave your car in your own garage at night and in the yard for a couple of hours during the day, you are unlikely to receive complaints, especially if you follow the parking rules. Traffic rules in this case allow you to leave the vehicle for a short period of time. Respect, again, other road users. If you put the car in one place, be so kind as not to borrow someone else's, as this can cause resentment among your neighbors, and this does not end well. In fact, if your car is quiet, does not bother anyone, and you do not warm up the engine near open windows, then you can be 90% sure that there will be no complaints.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I would like to say that parking in the courtyard of an apartment building is a fairly simple thing, especially if there is a specially designated place nearby. If not, then it is quite possible that there is a paid parking nearby, where your car will be in good hands. Of course, the rules for parking in the courtyards of residential buildings must be observed. So you will deprive yourself of problems and unnecessary quarrels with neighbors. Of course, if there is nowhere to put the transport, then try so that it at least does not interfere with others, and the rest is no longer your concern.

So we figured out a rather delicate topic for most motorists. We have answered all frequently asked questions, and now you know that there are parking rules in the courtyards of residential buildings, and it is advisable to follow them to the maximum. Although you may notice that not everyone does this, and most of them simply ignore them.
