I will not grovel a lot, I will tell you more briefly and specifically, without soap operas.

Getz - the machine is good, but has a number of its drawbacks along with positive qualities... I bought a car in the summer of 2008 and at the moment (10/20/09) I have already wound 30,000 km - TO2 is ahead, Getz 1.6 automatic transmission equipment. Everything is in order, the car is absolutely on the move, but there was one warranty repair - the sensor responsible for automatic switching speeds. For two days I went to the third one constantly, and then passed it to the service. Repaired everything under warranty, but an important fact for the reader of this review will be the words of the software manager warranty repair v official salon: "... You know, this happens with many Getses, this is a factory defect, we are often contacted with this breakdown ...". In all other respects, the car has no wild and serious complaints in a year of driving.

Disadvantages:

Of course, there were "crickets" - the plastic interior affects, the torpedo creaks, the right front door and something behind, and could not identify what.

The suspension is harsh, it is good when you fully feel the turn (you often have to feel, I drive 120-140 km / h a lot, since the track allows), but still I would like more compensation for bumps and potholes, moving, then you will really be thrilled and shaken. So when choosing this car, take a test drive and take a ride on the rails, immediately decide whether you need it or not.

Noise isolation is lame, at high speed there is a hum in the cabin, loud music, of course, fixes everything.

Now about the music: my radio tape recorder is not the most authoritative, but still the volume and bass are normal, and these very basses so really shattered the plastic on the door (in the door of the speaker) that now the plastic on the door began to rattle during playback. In short, those who love R "n" B, electronic music and other bass compositions - get ready for extraneous sounds.

Now a little about high-speed behavior: at the start of the Getz 1.6, the automatic transmission is, of course, good, up to 90 km / h rushing is excellent when the trigger is actively pressed, but then the strength ends, all agility stops at a speed of 100 km / h, sharp changes and overtaking by such a speed must be carried out well prepared and thought over, and the downshift button (and there is one) is not particularly effective here.

The luggage carrier "kick-ass" is too small, you can go to hypermarkets, but, for example, I drove for winter wheels and had to put a couple of wheels into the salon. Well, as they say, the car is not designed for large-scale transportation.

Consumption: I drive constantly from the Moscow region to Moscow (~ 45 km one way), there is a highway and traffic jams along the way, while the consumption is 9.3 liters / 100 km. Here is such a small machine !!! I don’t know if it’s an imperfection or a submachine gun so hawala, but the fact is with such an expense on the face.

The rear wiper is not very well thought out - it has only one operating mode and it is NOT with a delay, but with a constant movement of the wiper. Personally, I would like it to move with a delay, with a fast one.

Of the advantages:

Small dimensions: I can park anywhere, and most importantly, turns can be done on such small areas that it will take your breath away;

Decent ground clearance (ground clearance). I can climb decent bardyurs, even this surprised me, I thought it would be worse. It happens, of course, I strike the crankcase, but this is when I become completely impudent with the height. In the village and on the river all the bumps were subdued;

The distance for the legs of the rear passengers is normal, of course, you won't be able to stretch out, but you won't have to sit with your ears propped up on your knees;

Convenient shelf under the steering wheel, the drain of unnecessary things fits there, uh ...;

When the air conditioner is on, the power drops, but the car still remains a maneuverable zinger. By the way, this also applies to full cabin when there are 5 people in the car. Sitting five of us is not very comfortable (as in many cars), but the car does not lose its maneuverability.

Well, in general, probably so. In terms of price / quality, the car has a solid top five. The cost of the car corresponds to the shortcomings that exist. Most of them are not particularly annoying, but there are some that I would like to exclude (I personally do not like the stiffer suspension and rear wiper). 30,000 km is already a significant mileage for a car of this class and, as they say, it has not pumped up yet (with the exception of a factory defect, but there are such cars in top-end cars). Personal opinion - satisfied, although the car was bought with a wife in mind. I go myself and with pleasure.

Methods for increasing ground clearance
