However, if you use our instructions, then everything can really be done without contacting a car service. And this means that you can save on work and channel your hard-earned money in a different direction. And if you don’t know, then see our material on the site. So let's go.

The frequency of replacing spark plugs on Nissan Teana

How many spark plugs does a Nissan Teana have?

Two types of engines are installed on the Nissan Teana - this is the V6 and the usual inline "four". It is logical that there are 6 spark plugs on the V6, and 4 on the "four". We have at our disposal Nissan teana in the back of a J32 with a V6 VQ25DE engine. The plugs on our car are marked Denso FXE20HR11. it platinum candles, which cost about 900 rubles. a piece. Yes, the kit comes out about 5400 rubles. It is expensive, but it is better to overpay once than to buy something cheaper, but of lower quality. Here are some analogues:

But less expensive counterparts:

Nissan Teana J32 spark plug replacement progress

Please note that replacing the Nissan Teana spark plugs should be performed on a cooled engine.

1. Open the hood and remove the decorative plastic from the engine. Here's what we see:

2. Access to the first three spark plugs is open. You can replace them immediately.

3. Press the latch and pull out the contact piece from the ignition coil. Unscrew the fixing bolts with a 10 "wrench. Now you can pull the coil up and out.

4. We take candle wrench and unscrew the first spark plug. We take a new candle and wrap it in place. Tighten to 17 Nm. Do not overtighten, as this can damage both the candle thread itself and the candle well thread. And this will result in expensive repairs.

We put the coil in place, tighten with the bolt and insert the contact chip.

5. This procedure is performed for the remaining two spark plugs.

6. Now comes the hard part. The remaining three plugs are located under the intake manifold, which will have to be removed. This is done consistently.

7. Dismantle the case air filter together with a corrugated pipe going to the filter.

8. Removing throttle... It is held in place by 4 hex bolts. Remember to disconnect the rubber hose from the throttle body.

10. Remove the two crankcase ventilation hoses, as shown in the photo below:

(In the photo above, the order of tightening the intake manifold mounting bolts is numbered)

And remove the intake manifold.

We now have access to the remaining three spark plugs.

Their replacement is carried out in the same way as the first three pieces. During replacement, it is advisable to close the openings of the cylinder head inlet channels with a napkin or rag to avoid dirt getting there.

Along the way, you can wash the intake manifold with a carburetor cleaner. You can also flush the throttle valve.

12. After replacing the candles, everything is assembled in the reverse order.

That's all! At this, the replacement of the Nissan Teana candles can be considered complete. Thank you for the attention. And we also recommend that you read the articles

Spark plugs are one of the most important elements any engine unit of the car. The designated auto parts are involved in the ignition of the combustible mixture. The presented candle is a fairly durable part of the vehicle. However, it operates under high loads and is subject to wear and tear. In addition to normal wear and tear, the above-mentioned element of the machine is also affected by low-quality fuel. Based on the indicated information, we conclude that the spark plugs need to be periodically replaced with new ones.

How do spark plugs work?

As mentioned earlier, spark plugs are special devices that ignite the combustible fuel in the engine cylinder.

The process of functioning of one cylinder can be divided into four points:

  • To begin with, the engine cylinder of a Nissan Teana j32 car is filled with a combustible substance;
  • After that, the fuel mixture is compressed by the piston, and also ignited by the spark plug;
  • Next, there is a procedure for expanding the volume of the cylinder. The indicated process is carried out due to the movement of the piston of the machine in the opposite direction. When a fire occurs, the pressure increases significantly, as a result of which the piston of the car reverses, and due to the indicated force, the vehicle can drive;
  • After the combustion products are pushed out through exhaust pipe car brand Nissan Teana j32.

The procedure for the functioning of the motor unit is circular, in the engine of any vehicle, in this case, the Nissan Teana j32 brand, is far from one cylinder, and the number of spark plugs is always equivalent to the number of cylinders. As a result of this, the owner of the car may have certain problems with the car's engine. This is due to the fact that if a car enthusiast who owns a Nissan Teana j32 car breaks a spark plug in one cylinder, or a breakdown occurs with it, then he cannot distinguish the nuances presented. If there are any problems with the vehicle engine, then most motorists first of all purchase new spark plugs and replace them, in part this is the right move. This is explained by the fact that repairing the engine unit, and even disassembling it, costs much more than replacing old candles with new ones.

Deviations from the optimal combustion procedure

There are various variations in spark plug function from optimal combustion. If a designated part of a Nissan Teana j32 car is faulty, ignitions may be skipped, as a result of which one cylinder chamber stops working. Glow ignition is one of the most common deviations of a designated auto part. It is accompanied by a delayed or early release of a spark, which leads to the fact that the engine unit of a Nissan Teana j32 vehicle will not function at full capacity. Detonation is another common deviation. It forms in the cylinder, in the furthest place from the spark plug, and arises from the strong compression of the combustible mixture.

Candle replacement process

It is recommended to replace and maintain the elements and parts of the ignition system that are in direct contact with the housing of the engine unit when the engine is cold. Any car enthusiast will be able to replace spark plugs - this is a simple procedure that does not require significant skills and knowledge. For its implementation, the owner of a Nissan Teana j32 car will need to prepare certain tools.

What do you need to bring with you?

  • Vorotok (1/2);
  • Long head 14 (1/2);
  • Extension 25 mm (1/2);
  • Box key 10;
  • Tubular key for 10;
  • Slotted and Phillips screwdriver;
  • Pliers;
  • Carburetor cleaner;
  • Hexagons;
  • Work gloves;
  • Waste fabric;
  • Six new spark plugs - Nissan, numbered 22402JD01B.

After the above tools have been prepared, the car owner can proceed with replacing the spark plugs for the Nissan Teana 2.5 v6.

Replacement procedure:

  • First you need to open the hood of the vehicle and remove the decorative plastic from the engine unit;

  • Doing the above will open up access to the first three spark plugs. They can be replaced already at this stage;

  • To do this, you need to press the latch and pull out the contact chip from the ignition coil. Using a 10 key, unscrew the fixing bolts. After that, the owner of a Nissan Teana j32 car can pull the coil up, thereby pulling it out;
  • Next, you need to unscrew the first unsuitable spark plug with a spark plug wrench;

  • After new part is installed in place. It is tightened with an effort of 17 Nm. It is impossible to tighten more, as this can damage the thread of the candle well and the thread of the candle itself. This can lead to costly repairs;
  • After that, the coil must be installed in place, tighten the bolt and insert the contact block;
  • The above process should be done for the two remaining spark plugs;
  • Further, the procedure is more complicated. The remaining three spark plugs are located under the intake manifold, which must be removed. The indicated process should be carried out sequentially;
  • The air filter housing is dismantled together with the corrugated pipe that goes to the filter;
  • Then it is required to remove the throttle valve. It is secured with four hex bolts. It should be clarified about the rubber hose. It must be disconnected from the throttle valve without fail;

  • Next, unscrew three screws from the manifold holding the metal tube;
  • At this stage, it is necessary to remove two crankcase ventilation hoses;
  • After that, the five screws that secure the intake manifold are unscrewed;
  • The photo above shows the order of tightening the intake manifold mounting bolts;
  • Next, remove the intake manifold;
  • At this point, the motorist has access to the three remaining spark plugs;
  • Their replacement is performed in the same way as the first three. When performing the presented process, it is recommended to cover the openings of the inlet ports of the cylinder head (cylinder head) with an unnecessary rag. This is done in order to avoid getting dirt into them;
  • Along the way, a motorist can thoroughly flush the throttle valve and intake manifold. They are washed with a carburetor cleaner;
  • After all the spark plugs have been replaced, it is required to reassemble everything in the reverse order.

The frequency of replacing spark plugs on the Nissan Teana j32

In order for the engine of a Nissan Teana j32 car to function stably and smoothly, its owner needs to monitor it. According to the regulations, when passing the planned Maintenance the vehicle must be replaced with new spark plugs. The frequency of implementation of the indicated procedure is set by the manufacturer of the car, in this case, the Nissan Teana j32 brand. However, with a serviceable engine unit, no deviations in the ignition system, and also provided that the owner of the vehicle uses only a high-quality fuel mixture, the period of optimal functioning of the spark plugs is thirty thousand kilometers. The term can be extended if the car enthusiast uses platinum or iridium spark plugs.

Possible breakdowns and their causes

Due to the fact that with the increased work of the cylinder, the temperature in its chamber rises sharply, the spark plug may be partially damaged, and a lead deposit forms on it. The temperature in the designated part is greatly influenced by the fuel mixture used by the car enthusiast in the Nissan Teana j32. This is due to the glow plug ignition. The problem may be in the piston, exhaust valve, piston rings, as a result, the insulator of the indicated part may melt.

Adverse consequences untimely replacement spark plugs:

  • The resource of the catalyst is decreasing. In case of insufficient ignition of the combustible mixture in the cylinders of the car, the remains of unburned fuel get into the catalyst. After the combustible mixture has entered the catalyst, it burns out, as a result of which the layer on the honeycomb of the designated part also burns out. In addition, the lambda probe can be damaged;
  • The ignition coil fails. As a result of an increase in the breakdown voltage, the distance between the electrodes of the candle increases - as a result, a breakdown of the insulation of the layers of the coil occurs and it ceases to function;
  • The operating period of the motor unit is reduced. Combustion mixture entering a cylinder that is defective will cause fuel to enter the crankcase. In addition, the cylinder wears out and the oil resource decreases.

If a car enthusiast uses a Nissan Teana j32 with faulty spark plugs, explosive pops may form inside the combustion chamber. As a result, the car owner will have to change piston group, crankshaft and connecting rod.

1. We accept the car for work. We form an order for an outfit. Technological washing was not carried out at the request of the client.

2. Unscrew the engine boot.

3. Remove the manifold to get to the candles.

4. So, we got to the ignition coils. We begin to remove them (first, the coils are unscrewed, then they stretch straight up).

To unscrew old candles, we use a candle wrench (candlestick) - a device that allows you to more quickly and efficiently carry out the procedure. The candles are unscrewed counterclockwise.

5. We replace old candles with new original ones candles nissan... It is necessary to screw in new candles with a force of about 30-35 Nm. Do not twist (the thread may be damaged) and under-twist (the candle may fly out).

The candle wells must be covered with a cloth, which prevents foreign objects from entering the engine cylinder (in this case, you will have to disassemble the engine).

6. After replacing all candles (2 rows of 3 pcs.), Install the collector back.

Spark plug replacement on Nissan

Running gasoline engine is not possible if there is no spark in the combustion chamber of the cylinder. To ensure normal operation power unit, the spark plugs must function smoothly. Therefore, it is very important to carry out routine inspection and replacement of spark plugs in Nissan vehicles. All the details are in this article.

Spark plug: what role it plays, what it consists of

The role of the "igniter" in the ignition system of the car is performed by the spark plug, which generates a spark. The device allows you to turn a combustible mixture - an emulsion, which includes particles of gasoline and air - into thermal energy. Thanks to the latter, the movement of the motor pistons occurs.

Spark plug used in modern cars, comprises:

  • housing,
  • insulator,
  • central electrode,
  • side electrode.

There is a copper core inside the center electrode. It can also be used in the side electrode for improved heat dissipation. Similar solutions are offered by companies that produce expensive candles. Also, some manufacturers cover the central and (or) side electrodes with platinum, thereby protecting the plug elements from rapid destruction.

The average service life of a spark plug is 30 thousand kilometers. When choosing candles, you must follow the instructions for the car. The manufacturer of Nissan cars recommended replacing the spark plugs after 15-60 thousand kilometers, depending on the car model and engine. We, in turn, recommend that Russian motorists change candles every 15 thousand kilometers, this is due to not always high-quality fuel, which has a detrimental effect.

Replacing spark plugs in Nissan vehicles

To replace the spark plugs, you will need a standard set of car keys. For example like this:

Take a car as an example Nissan qashqai... To replace the spark plugs on this model, you must:

  1. Remove engine cover.
  2. Unscrew the air pipe at the throttle valve.
  3. Unscrew the two-bolt throttle body.
  4. Remove intake manifold. To do this, unscrew the lower and upper bolts (for example, on the Qashqai model there are seven of them: five at the bottom and two at the top).
  5. Remove the ignition coil, which is secured with several bolts.
  6. Unscrew the spark plugs using the ignition coil (there is a special hole in the lower part of it).
  7. Insert each plug (new) into its seat.
  8. Fix the candles.
  9. Secure the ignition coil.
  10. Install and secure the intake manifold.
  11. Attach the throttle body.
  12. Connect the air duct.
  13. Install the protective cover.

Additionally

Spark plug wear is determined visually. To do this, you should pay attention to the condition of the electrodes and insulator. In case of wear, carbon deposits are observed on the former, and a dark spot on the insulator. This means that the candles are not recommended for future use.
