Advantages of the Type 59
Type 59 is a Chinese copy of the Soviet medium tank. Accordingly, this tank inherited many of the characteristics of the legendary Soviet ST. The biggest plus premium tank type 59 this is his booking. Excellent frontal armor and turret armor, if the hull does not hold all the shots of various military equipment, but the turret will please with its rational slopes, the main thing is to use it correctly in battle.
The next plus is a good maximum speed, although it will not be easy to dial it. The low silhouette and good camouflage allow the tank to play from cover and out of the bushes. An important plus is the preferential level of battles, which allows players to feel comfortable playing on their favorite premium. Buy code to receive type 59 and realize your dream is now available to everyone, and this is very pleasing.
The tank also has good vertical aiming angles, which makes it more comfortable to fire. Although the accuracy of the tank gun is excellent, it is not easy to hit from it with such a spread. Also, the machine does not have a special rate of fire, if taken in comparison, it is slightly above average.
The engine power is 520 horsepower, which, in relation to the given mass of the car, makes acceleration long. But it is only necessary to disperse the tank, and it turns into a battering ram, easily capable of demolishing everything in its path. Rice tank, Chinese, stupid - as soon as they don't call it Type 59. It was removed from sale, but it was sold enough to still see it often. But has it been completely removed? Maybe there is a way to get this tank in your hangar? Let's look into this issue.

He left but promised to return...

It was the very first Chinese tank to appear in World of Tanks. He made a lot of noise around his person, at first, just appearing in the team made the enemies tremble with fear, and in the process of battle endure pain and humiliation.

When was the Type 59 removed from sale in the World of Tanks store? It happened on January 16, 2012. The day before, the developers announced that the number of this tank in battles began to go off scale, which led to a terrible imbalance. Still, 3-5 united taipovods could pull out almost any fight.

The whining about homeless people and donat haters did not stop from the very beginning of the operation of the Type 59, and even after looking at the statistics of the nogib, it was decided to remove the Type 59 from the premium store of the world of tanks.

How to get Type 59?

The one who hurried and ran to open the official website of World of Tanks and began to enter the code made everyone else laugh. Hint - enter the bonus code, but in the Russian layout. This will be a lesson for you - you could get the same from the "sellers" of the codes, and we gave it completely free of charge!

But despite the fact that Type removed, there are several ways to get it by proudly placing it in your hangar. Let's go through the main methods from the simplest to the most complex:

  1. We invent a time machine or accelerate above the speed of light in order to move into the past and steal from its cradle, replacing it with ourselves. As a result, in the present you will become a director and will be able to receive any bonus code.
  2. The next method is a little more difficult, since you have to cross the threshold of the resident evil - knock on the wargaming office, go through an interview ( mostly they ask about tanks and if you know how to grow and boil potatoes) and get a job at the company. Having settled down as a level designer or tester, it will be possible to beg for the coveted tank.
  3. An even more unlikely method is participation in promotions. Unlikely, since promotions with a prize of Tupe are held once every 500 years, but we are lucky and now such a festive event has just started in honor of the 15th anniversary of WG. For the first place, you can grab a rice tank, and there are plenty of other nominations.
  4. Well, it’s completely impossible - to buy a bonus code for Type 59 from one of the sellers in a popular social network. I think of those who read this text is no longer left who believes in? In addition to the code, you may even be offered to buy an account with Type 59 - this is more likely, but again at your own peril and risk, and the developers do not approve of such an economy.

Why is he so good?

It has a cast, thick turret, and, in principle, ricochet armor plus an accurate gun. We add here the wonderful dynamics, small size and we get an almost perfect support tank. But again, in capable hands! In those that can single-handedly dismantle the KV-5, Levik and all the other formidable representatives of the 8th level. At its level, one of the most dangerous opponents for the Type 59 is the IS-3 (however, as for many other tanks).

However, if you are a typical player who "plays for fun" and not zadrotit, then you may not even notice all the advantages of Type 59, that is, in your hands it will turn into a useless tin.

Hello everyone and welcome to the site! Friends, today we have a legendary and one of the most desirable vehicles in the World of Tanks, one of the first premium tanks in our game - here is a guide to the Type 59.

It is noteworthy that this unit has a preferential level of battles, that is, it never fights against the tenth levels, and now the average Chinese premium tank of the eighth level Type 59 cannot be bought, since it was taken out of sale a very long time ago.

Detailed performance characteristics Type 59

Let's move on to considering the parameters of this Chinese, and you can determine for yourself whether he is so good, or is it just a big name. To begin with, I’ll say that we have a margin of safety typical by the standards of classmates and a quite decent basic view of 380 meters.

Booking Type 59

Regarding what kind of armor characteristics the Type 59 has, it's still pretty good. The main thing you need to know about is the well-armored forehead of the tower, from which the shells of most opponents of the eighth level and below fly off.

In terms of hardness of the case, everything is not so cool, but not bad either. NLD and VLD 100 mm thick, located at very favorable angles and hold the blow well, although it is still better to hide the body. The Type 59 WoT tank is capable of tanking even sideways, but only when properly positioned and not always.

When it comes to mobility, it's all relative. On the one hand, good top speed and maneuverability, but by the standards of medium tanks, the dynamics are average, although you can’t call a tight car, the Chinese Type 59 tank is quite frisky.

Type 59 gun

Now let's talk about weapons and here again there are some contradictions. For starters, the alpha strike, which is quite a bit higher than most of the eighth level premiums, but there is nothing to be surprised at.

As for the rate of fire, it is not very high and therefore the Type 59 gun is capable of dealing only 1700 base damage per minute, without taking into account equipment and crew skills. The same applies to armor penetration, it is small and not enough to farm well. For this reason, you will have to carry half of the gold ammo with you. By the way, pay attention, the ammunition load here is small, so shoot wisely.

The accuracy of the Type 59 in World of Tanks is generally a disaster. Large spread, very long mixing, as for ST, and disgusting stabilization, these parameters will need to be corrected in every possible way. The only thing that pleases us is the declination of the gun by 7 degrees down, especially if we remember that we have a Chinese in our hands.

Advantages and disadvantages

So, as you may have noticed, we have a good and even quite strong car in our hands, but far from being an imba, and therefore it is very important to understand all the strengths and weaknesses of the Type 59 WoT.
Pros:
Excellent frontal armor of the turret;
Good mobility and maneuverability;
High stealth coefficient;
Decent review;
Preferential level of fights.
Minuses:
Poor accuracy and stabilization;
Long time information;
Weak DPM;
Poor armor penetration;
Small ammunition.

Equipment for Type 59

We looked at the general characteristics of this machine, highlighted its advantages and disadvantages, and as you can see for yourself, our main problems are poor gun accuracy and low DPM. For these reasons, the following equipment is installed on the Type 59:
1. - everything is very clear, this is the best way to increase damage per minute.
2. - will improve the accuracy and stabilization of the gun;
3. - a great option, because this is a boost of a large number of important characteristics at once.

There are several alternatives to the third item on our list. If you are a fan of playing from a review and consider this characteristic very important, you can install it, and for those who really lack the mixing speed (it is really bad), you can take it. Both options have the right to life, here everyone should set priorities for themselves.

Type 59 crew training

Based on the fact that we have a crew and four people at our disposal, at a certain stage we will have to make a decisive choice. However, for the rest, we will download perks on the Type 59 according to the standard, strengthening the most important parameters of the machine and not forgetting to correct the shortcomings:
Commander - , , , .
Gunner - , , , .
Driver mechanic - , , , .
Loader (radio operator) - , , , .

In the case of a radio operator, it makes sense to replace it with, since this module is located along our entire starboard side and there is a high probability of damage to it, again, it's up to you.

Equipment for Type 59

Regarding the choice of consumables, everything can be said to be standard, but even here there will be a small nuance. If you want to farm or spend as little silver as possible, you can carry , and . However, a more correct and reliable option is to install equipment in the form of , , on the Type 59. At the same time, I do not recommend changing the last option, because we have fuel tanks in front and they are often set on fire, but for the most desperate there are.

Game tactics on Type 59

Given all of the above, you need to play this car carefully, because although it has good armor, there are enough vulnerable zones here. While keeping in mind our slanting cannon, on the Type 59 the tactics of combat is to position on the second line.

In those situations when you do not get into the light, you can not be afraid to come down and aim for weak spots, boldly inflict damage. If the enemy has pointed the muzzle at your Type 59 tank, try to take a position where artillery cannot reach you and the hull will be hidden, tanking with a turret at medium distances is a pleasure to shoot back.

But when it was not possible to avoid close combat, try to move more, wag your body from side to side, standing with your forehead to the enemy, so the probability of getting a rebound or non-penetration is greatly increased. Otherwise, the Type 59 World of Tanks tank is an excellent support vehicle. Change flanks and attack directions, help your allies, hide behind heavyweights and always look at the mini-map.

Summing up, let me remind you that the Chinese Type 59 medium tank cannot be bought, it was taken out of sale a long time ago. But if you get the chance to get it, decide what you expect from this car. If you want to farm, there are better options, but if you need a good and rather rare unit, this is a good option.

The successful design of the T-55 has led to the fact that the tanks created on its basis and modernized using new technologies still represent a very impressive force, especially if they do not have to face the latest generations of enemy equipment.

After the end of World War II, hostilities in China did not end. Until 1950, it was blazing here. The Soviet Union supported its ideological allies in various ways, including by supplying them with armored vehicles. In particular, the USSR handed over captured Japanese tanks to the communists in exchange for food supplies from Manchuria to the Soviet Far East.

After the end of the war, China began to receive Soviet-made armored vehicles - heavy tanks IS-2, medium T-34-85, self-propelled guns SU-100, etc. In 1956, the USSR supplied its new Far Eastern ally with several copies of the latest T-54A tank and technical production documentation.

How the T-54 tank became "Chinese"

The T-54 was a very successful innovative machine. In total, it was in service with the tank units of the USSR for more than thirty years, and at the time the rights to its production were transferred to China, it was the main tank.

The leadership of the PRC launched its own tank production in the urban district of Baotou in the province of Inner Mongolia, assigning the built enterprise No. 617. Today, this enterprise is the state-owned "First Machine-Building Corporation of Inner Mongolia" - the only manufacturer of battle tanks in China. The corporation is part of the state-owned industrial group CNGC Norinco Group (China North Industries Corporation), a key Chinese manufacturing association engaged in both the production of military equipment and engineering products aimed at meeting civilian needs.

The construction of the plant in Baotou and the launch of the tank into production were carried out with the participation of Soviet specialists simultaneously with another 156 other key industrial facilities built in the PRC in the first five-year plan. Initially, it was planned to produce up to a thousand licensed T-54A tanks per year. In addition, a specialized NII-201 was created in Beijing, which was engaged in the design development of armored vehicles.

The first tank was assembled by Chinese workers in 1958 from Soviet components. The vehicle was assigned the production index WZ-120, and when adopted, the tank received the index Type 59 (Type 59). The first 32 Type 59 vehicles took part in the Beijing parade on October 1, 1959, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. In subsequent years, these tanks became permanent and obligatory participants in such events. The cars of the starting series completely repeated the design of the Soviet T-54A tank, and in subsequent modifications, Chinese engineers began to make some changes that better adapt the car to the climatic conditions of Southeast Asia.

In 1960, due to insults exchanged between the leaders of China and the USSR, Mao Zedong and N.S. Khrushchev, there was a break in relations between the two countries. First of all, he touched upon military-industrial cooperation, so the plant in Baotou soon faced a shortage of components, many of which were supplied from the USSR at that time. As a result, the production plan of 1000 tanks per month was not fulfilled, and the Chinese urgently had to resolve the issue of establishing the production of units that were previously supplied from outside.

By 1967, the plant had reached a capacity of 600 vehicles per year, and in the future it only increased its productivity. In turn, NII-201 stepped up work to improve the design of the "Type 59". Over the following years, the Chinese took the path of gradual improvement of the technology they had already mastered and its deep modernization, up to the creation of new types of technology. However, the “Cultural Revolution” soon began in China, the most destructive period of which, resulting in mass arrests of the intelligentsia, including technical ones, fell on 1966–69. This negatively affected both the development of Chinese industry in general and tank building in particular.

The design of the tank "Type 59"

Like the T-54, the Type 59 has a classic layout - the control compartment is located in front, followed by the fighting compartment, and the engine compartment is located in the stern. The hull of the tank is welded from armor plates of rolled homogeneous steel. The thickness of the frontal armor is 97 mm, the slope of the upper part is 60 °, the lower one is 55 °. The thickness of the sides is 79 mm, the feed is 40-45 mm, the bottom is 20 mm, the roof of the hull is 30 mm. The thickness of the frontal wall of the cast tower reaches a thickness of 203 mm, the side walls - 80 mm, the rear - 65 mm. Due to the hemispherical shape, the walls of the tower are located at rational changing angles of inclination. The weight of the tank is 36.5 tons. Crew - 4 people: commander, driver, gunner, loader.

In the engine compartment of the tank under the index 12150L, a Chinese copy of the Soviet B-54 diesel engine was installed, which had a power of 520 hp. With. at 2000 rpm. Transmission "Type 59", identical to the T-54A, used to transfer power from the engine to a parallel gearbox (hereinafter referred to as the gearbox), a new element - the "guitar". It is a gearbox with a gear ratio of 0.7. Thanks to this gearbox, it was possible to design a compact and simple (mechanical, five-speed). Chassis tank "Type 59" used the principle of individual torsion bar suspension. Road wheels were installed with a large diameter, five on one side. Caterpillars were made with a width of 580 mm, small-linked with an open metal hinge and lantern engagement with the drive wheel. Each of them consisted of 90 tracks.

The fuel supply of 532 liters is located in three external and three internal tanks, in addition, a mount for a two-hundred-liter external tank is provided at the stern of the hull.

Initially, the 100-mm rifled gun "69" was installed on the "Type 59", which was a licensed version of the Soviet D-10TG gun, installed on the T-54A. Almost right next to the muzzle of the gun there is an ejector necessary to purge the bore from powder gases. Initially, the gun was equipped with a single-plane stabilizer, which stabilized the gun in a vertical position and increased the accuracy of the tank's firing on the move. However, due to the break in relations with the USSR, the installation of stabilizers on guns stopped, and night vision devices were also no longer mounted (tanks left the assembly shop without them).

The pointing angles of the D-10TG gun were -5 ° ... + 18 °, which in the conditions of hostilities in mountainous or hilly areas could create certain inconveniences, especially when firing from a hill. The effective firing range varied within 700–1200 m. For firing from the cannon, a Chinese-made telescopic articulated sight with variable 3.5- and 7-fold magnification was used, which was a copy of the Soviet TSh-2A-22.

The tank's ammunition load consisted of 34 unitary rounds, 20 of which were in a rack stack to the right of the driver's seat, and another 14 in the fighting compartment. To the right of the gun, a coaxial 7.62-mm Type 59T machine gun, a licensed version of the Soviet SGMT, was installed. The second machine gun of the same course was rigidly fixed in the frontal sheet of the tank. The ammunition load of both machine guns was 3500 rounds. On the roof of the turret above the loader's hatch, a large-caliber 12.7-mm Type 54 machine gun, which was a licensed copy of the Soviet DShKM, was mounted. Its ammunition capacity was 200 rounds.

Type 59-I

In the early 1960s, the Type 59 tank was being modernized in China. The characteristics of the new modification "Type 59-I" (production index - WZ120A) brought this tank closer to the Soviet T-54B. A two-plane weapon stabilizer (similar to the Soviet Cyclone) was installed on the machine, as well as active night vision devices. The ammunition load of the 69-II gun (similar to the Soviet D-10T2S) has grown to 44 unitary shells. For the tank, the Chinese began to produce a new armor-piercing sub-caliber projectile (hereinafter - BPS) AR100-2 with an elongated core, developed by one of the companies belonging to the NORINCO group. The tank gun received an ejector of a new design of independent Chinese development.

The British company MEL supplied China with tank night vision devices, which began to be installed on Type 59-I tanks. Now the commander and gunner were provided with infrared sights, and the driver - with a night observation device. These tanks could be easily identified by the Chinese CELEC Type 82 or Type 83-II laser rangefinders mounted above the gun mantlet, in a location highly vulnerable to small arms and shrapnel. They began to be installed on tanks in the late 1970s, so during the Sino-Vietnamese War of 1979, some of the equipment that participated in the hostilities was already equipped with them. "Type 82" made it possible to measure the distance to the target at ranges of 300-3000 meters with an accuracy of 10 m. In addition, the machines began to be equipped with analog ballistic computers. Data was entered into them manually using a push-button control panel.

All Type 59 tanks in service with the PLA were upgraded to Type 59-I.

Especially for Pakistan, modernized Type 59AP vehicles were produced, distinguished by the presence of a lattice basket welded to the rear of the tower and smoke grenade launchers along its sides. These tanks were also produced in significant quantities in Pakistan by the local company Heavy Defense Industries in cooperation with NORINCO, and in the early 2000s, Pakistan developed their upgraded version called Al-Zarrar. They are still in service with the Pakistani armed forces and take part in the fighting against Islamic extremists.

Type 59-II

In the early 1980s, the cannon of the Type 59-I tank was replaced with a 105-mm Israeli-made 81 rifled gun, which was a copy of the American M68 tank gun (the Israelis armed their Shot and Merkava tanks with these guns). Mk.1 and Mk.2). The Americans, in turn, when creating the M68, copied the design of the British-made 105-mm Royal Ordnance L7, having acquired the appropriate license. They installed their gun on the M48A5, M60 and M1 Abrams tanks of the early series. These guns proved themselves well in the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War, where the main opponents of the Israelis were just the T-54 / 55 and T-62, the design of which is also very similar to the Type 59. In China, the tanks and guns that fired at them in the Middle East were combined in one vehicle, which received the index "Type 59-II" (WZ-120B).

The Israelis at that time already had experience in re-equipping captured Egyptian and Syrian T-54s with 105-mm guns. Such tanks entered service with the Israel Defense Forces under the index "Tiran-4Sh" - "Sh" (in Hebrew - the letter "shin") means "sharir" (strong). So the Chinese did not have any particular problems with the modernization of their vehicles, especially since the dimensions of the new guns almost completely corresponded to the 100-mm "69-II". The armament stabilizer remained the same as that used on the Type 59-I. For the new gun, NORINCO created a 105-mm feathered BPS with a uranium alloy core with increased penetration power. BPS 100-mm guns had an initial speed of 1480 m / s and armor penetration of 150 mm at a range of 2400 meters at an angle of 65 °, and a 105-mm OBPS with a uranium alloy core was able to penetrate armor 150 mm thick at a distance of 2500 m at an angle of 60 ° . Also, the tank's ammunition included high-explosive and cumulative shells, the production of which was established in China using Israeli technologies. The ammunition load of the "Type 59-II" remained the same as that of the "59-I" - 44 rounds.

Externally, the "Type 59-II" differs from the "Type 59-I" in the ejector, which was moved much closer to the tower and increased in size. The "Type 59-II" was also equipped with non-illuminated night vision devices, rubber-woven side screens, and smoke grenade launchers appeared. The laser rangefinder was moved from the platform above the gun to the commander's cupola. Tanks equipped with such equipment received the Type 59-IIA index.

Type 59-IID

In the 1990s, China began to modernize its Type 59-II - the new machine received the index Type 59-IID (WZ-120C). The latest fire control system (hereinafter referred to as the FCS) was installed, which includes new combined (day / night) passive sights for the commander and gunner, an auxiliary telescopic sight, an integrated laser rangefinder, an improved two-plane weapon stabilizer and a digital ballistic computer. Instead of a periscope sight, the gunner could be provided with a thermal imager.

The 105-mm gun was modernized, and it received a new index "Type 83-I" (83A).

The tank was equipped with FY dynamic protection elements, which are box-shaped containers with explosives. 13 containers protect the front part of the hull, and another 30 are placed on the cheekbones of the tower (15 on each side). Also, four smoke grenade launchers were installed on the sides of the tower, and in the aft part there was a basket for the crew's property, which in parallel acts as an additional anti-cumulative screen. On top of that, the tank was equipped with thermal smoke equipment that uses fuel as a reagent.

The engine of the car was boosted by increasing the fuel supply and compression ratio, which made it possible to increase the power of the 12-cylinder diesel engine 12150L7 to 580 hp. With. The speed of the tank when driving on the highway reached 50 km / h, off-road - 25, and the cruising range increased from 360 to 440 kilometers (with additional tanks reaching 600). The steel hinges of the caterpillars were replaced with rubber-metal ones, and the torsion shafts were strengthened. A new A-220A radio station was installed on the tank, which allows you to maintain communication at distances up to 16 kilometers.

Type 59 for sale

For foreign buyers, a special modification of the tank was developed - "Type 59-IID1" (WZ120C1). The 105-mm gun "79" was equipped with an aluminum-composite heat-insulating casing. A guided weapon system was installed on the tank, which allows firing anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) through the barrel with a maximum firing range of up to 5.2 kilometers and armor penetration of up to 700 millimeters. It is also possible that it was possible to install the Soviet-designed 9K116-1 Bastion complex, designed to fire from 100-mm rifled guns of the T-54 and T-55 tanks. In addition to ground targets, such complexes can also destroy low-flying air targets (for example, helicopters).

In the 1980s, export versions of the Type 59 tank were made in small batches:

  • "Type 59R" - with a new FCS, anti-nuclear defense system, steel bulwarks, gun "Type 79";
  • "Type 59P" - with reinforced armor of the turret and frontal part of the hull, gun "Type 79";
  • "Type 59G" ("Type 59-125 / 59-120") - with a new turret, new SLA, 580/1200 hp engine, 120/125-mm Rh-120-L44 smoothbore gun (unlicensed copy of the Soviet 2A46 ).

The production of Type 59 tanks was carried out in China until 1987. It was produced in parallel with the less mass-produced Type 69 vehicle, and then they were replaced by the Type 79 and other second-generation tanks. There are at least two attempts by the Celestial Empire to increase the number of production sites where tanks would be assembled. The so-called "branch number 704", built at the Loyang Tractor Plant in 1970, was able to produce only 100 tanks in ten years. Most likely, Luoyang encountered problems related to product quality (technological level of production, qualification of the workforce, etc.). In the early 1970s, there was a project to build a second full-fledged tank plant (“base number 541”), but it was not implemented.

The total output of the Type 59 tank is not exactly known. In the 1970s, China produced 500-700 cars a year, in 1979 - 1000, in 1980 - 500, in 1981 - 600, in 1982 -1200, in 1983 - 1500-1700 units. After 1980, almost all production was exported. The estimated number of manufactured tanks of this model of all modifications is 10 thousand units.

A significant number of Type 59 tanks were exported to the following countries: Albania (470 units), Bangladesh (about 100), Iran (500), Iraq (about 700, mostly modernized versions), Congo (15), Cambodia (about 50) , North Korea (175), Pakistan (1200 - including those produced under license), Vietnam (350), Zimbabwe (35), Tanzania (30), Sudan (50). Most of these countries are still operating Chinese tanks or are considering repairing and upgrading them.

According to Western sources, as of 2012, 4.3 thousand Type 59 tanks were in service and storage in China.

On the basis of the Type 59, other models of vehicles were created, which, according to the Chinese classification, belong to the first generation of tanks:

  • "Type 62" (WZ-131) - was a tank lightened by 15.5 tons due to thinner armor, a lighter undercarriage and a smaller caliber gun (85 mm). Produced until 1989;
  • "Type 69" (WZ-121) - differed mainly by a 100-mm smoothbore gun developed in China based on data obtained from the study of the Soviet T-62 captured on Damansky Island. It was produced until 1987 in small batches, and mainly for export.

"Type 59" in battles

The baptism of fire tanks "Type 59" received in the Third Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. During the Second War of 1965, the military leadership of Pakistan lost confidence in American tanks, since only near Assal-Uttar in the battle with the Indian "Centurions" the Pakistani armed forces lost about a hundred M48 Patton vehicles, which is why the battlefield was called "Patton Nager" - Patton Cemetery. In the second half of the 1960s, Pakistan began to work closely with China, and by 1971, 700 Type 59 tanks were in service with its army.

On the night of March 25, 1971, Operation Searchlight began, carried out by the Pakistani army against Bangladeshi rebels from the Mukti Bahini movement, who advocated the secession of East Pakistan and the creation of an independent state of Bangladesh. As a result, a civil war broke out, in which the Indian army entered on the side of Bangladesh in December 1971. There was a problem of distinguishing the Indian T-54/55, bought from the USSR, from the Pakistani "Type 59". The Indians installed false extra oversized ejectors on their tanks at a distance of 2/3 of the barrel length from the turret. Thanks to this, the D-10 gun began to resemble the English L7 from a distance, which was armed with the Indian "Centurions" and "Vijayats". Thus, the Indian T-54 / T-55 differed from the Pakistani "Type 59" even from a long distance. The Pakistanis, on the other hand, marked their Type 59s with horizontal white stripes about 25 cm wide applied around the turret with a gap on the left and right sides for the number, as well as a white stripe on the cannon ejector.

China began supplying tanks to the government of North Vietnam quite late, at the end of 1971. On March 30, 1972, Hanoi conducted a massive offensive operation against the troops of South Vietnam, nicknamed the "Easter Offensive" by the Western media, in which for the first time the infantry of the Vietnam People's Army was supported by tank units - the 201st, 202nd and 203rd regiments, which were armed with and Chinese "Type 59". Subsequently, these and other tank units participated in the battles in South Vietnam until the complete victory of the DRV troops over the enemy.

Vietnam next encountered Type 59 tanks during the 1979 Sino-Vietnamese War. Due to the expulsion of the Chinese diaspora from the territory of North Vietnam and the political confrontation that arose in Laos, on February 17, 1979, PLA units invaded Vietnam. In China, Type 59 tanks, light Type 62 tanks, and Type 63 amphibious tanks were used in the offensive. In Vietnam, most of the tank units were concentrated in Laos and on the border with it, so the obsolete T-34-85 took part in the hostilities. After a month of fighting, the PLA units returned to the territory of the PRC. In total, the PLA lost up to 260 armored vehicles in combat, including armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles.

Chinese tanks were willingly bought by Iran, which lost the opportunity to acquire armored vehicles in Europe and from the United States after the 1979 revolution and expulsion from the Shah's country. In the early 1980s, 750 Type 59 tanks were purchased from the PRC and saw combat with the Iraqi army in the 1980–88 Iran–Iraq War. Due to the repressions carried out against members of the Communist Party, Iraq for some time in the 1980s lost the opportunity to purchase equipment from the USSR. Therefore, in 1980, Saddam Hussein made a deal to supply the Iraqi army with seven hundred Type 59 tanks and thousands of Type 69s, of which China delivered about 600 vehicles before the end of the war.

The Type 59 and Type 69 tanks that remained in Iraq were completely destroyed by the forces of the US army and allied countries as a result of operations Desert Storm and Desert Saber in 1991, as well as the invasion of coalition forces into Iraq in 2003 year. These obsolete tanks could not provide any noticeable opposition to the enemy.

Almost nothing is known about the participation of tanks in the civil war in Sudan, since both sides do not welcome the dissemination of information about the course of hostilities. In general, it can be stated that the successful design of the T-54 has led to the fact that the tanks created on its basis and modernized using new technologies still represent a very impressive force, especially if they do not have to face the latest generations of enemy equipment. In this regard, the countries of the "Third World" are actively using this technique to this day, constantly modernizing it.

Type 59 is a Tier XIII Chinese premium tank belonging to the medium tank class. Type 59 is an analogue of the Soviet medium tank T-54, it has the same flattened shape, which is the most correct in the game, as well as a cast turret that is very difficult to break through except for pain points. The tank costs 7500 gold, if you convert gold into in-game silver, you get 3.5 million - we can earn this money in a couple of days of unhurried play. It has a high speed of 58 km / h, but, unfortunately, due to the poor Chinese engine, the dynamics are not all right with us. We are the strongest among all Tier 8 medium tanks, even the famous Soviet T-44 is much weaker than us, sometimes it turns out to destroy two T-44s in a fight. If we come across an enemy below the level, we kill him without problems.

In order to play effectively on the Type 59, we need to constantly be on the move, use the technique of dancing when colliding with the enemy head-on and try not to expose our sides and stern. With the right tactics, the tank will start bringing you silver mountains, for an average battle you can easily get 50 - 70 thousand silver, with more successful battles you can get from 90 to 125 thousand silver. If we encounter opponents of our level on the battlefield, they have no chance at all against us, we alone are able to destroy all the enemy’s medium tanks, since they simply will not penetrate us. The Type 59 is a melee tank and is where he feels most comfortable. When we meet higher-level opponents or heavy tanks, just use the side clinch tactic, rub against them from the side and start driving forward and backward so the enemy will be very difficult to hit us, such tactics are especially effective with the KV-5. If we ended up in a country of "pain", in which tanks of levels 9 and 10 roll against us, we do not make any vague decisions, our task is simply to hide behind our high-level comrades and try not to die. The highlighting tactic is just as effective, when we simply stand in cover and highlight our enemies, and for the damage inflicted on them by our comrades we get money and experience.

For a tank, there are 2 tactics that bring the biggest result, they all depend on its build type. At the end of the article, 2 configurations of modules will be presented, which are typical for one of the two tactics.

Advantages and disadvantages

pros
- High profitability.
- Good frontal armor.
- Ricochet and durable tower.
- Excellent rate of fire.
- Good DPM.
- High scoring rate when playing with other Types.
- Very high competitiveness.
- The highest speed among Tier XIII MTs.
- Good karma, we are almost always in the Top 3.

Minuses:
- Low acceleration dynamics.
- Low mixing time.
- The inability to transfer the crew anywhere.
- Low frontal protection against landmines.
- Low durability of caterpillars and long repairs.
- A small number of shells.
- Frequent damage to the ammo rack.
- Low level of reservation of the stern and rear.
- Frequent tank crits when hit in the forehead.
- Frequent crits from HE hits.

Specifications and assembly:

The crew consists of 4 people:

crew leader
- gunner
- Driver mechanic
- Loader (radio operator)

Additional modules:

Lonely evil Chinese:
- Fan.
- Sender.
- Vertical stabilizer.

This allows us to increase our dynamics and maneuverability, which the tank clearly lacks.

hardcore chinese:
- Rammer
- Stabilizer
- Elevator drive

This build is geared towards DPM, which will allow you to go head-to-head with heavyweights of your level and take them down, although we will have to forget about dynamics and agility!

Consumables:

For the Lonely Angry Chinese build:
- Quality oil
- repair kit
- First aid kit

Using a twisted ESC is not recommended, because if you forget to turn it off in combat, it will simply burn your engine, which will lead to the following - if you have a small repair kit, you will have to use it. After the next crit (gun or ammo rack) you will no longer have anything to repair the module, and you will become practically useless trash for the team.

To build "Chinese hardcore":
- repair kit
- First aid kit
- Fire extinguisher

Using oil in this build is absolutely useless, since with this build you will most likely wedge the enemy from the side and you will have frequent engine fires.
