Savings are achieved by optimizing the injection of diesel fuel using electronic control of the injection of the fuel mixture.

In terms of environmental performance, this engine meets the requirements of EPA, EU and Japan Tier 2 (Tier 2) for air emissions.

The swing system is equipped with a hydrostatic drive. A planetary gear is used as a platform reducer. The circle is lubricated by an internal oil bath. A hydraulic lock acts as a service brake. A special brake is applied for the transport position, and a mechanical disc brake is used to block the swing of the platform. The platform turns at nine revolutions per minute.

The cabin volume has been increased by 14 percent in this model compared to the Komatsu PC400-6 excavator. As a result, the operator can position the levers to provide optimum control and comfort for himself. The backrest can also be reclined until it is completely horizontal.
