In the corner of the warehouse you will find a cage where the monster was kept, but the bars in it are sawn and the traces point to a dwarf.

It’s better not to hesitate and make your way to the girl right away, otherwise, while you’re dealing with the soldiers around the village, she can be killed. We get the quest from Dijkstra at the end of the quest "Darkest under the lantern", if we share important information with Dijkstra in exchange for Dijkstra not touching Philippa Eilhart.

Stage 1: meet the conspirators at the docks

We leave for the docks of Novigrad, not far from the cursed warehouse from the quest of the same name. Having knocked on the right house, Dijkstra's man will let us in. We rise to the second floor. There we are already waiting for all those gathered - Dijkstra, Roche and Taller. During the conversation, we agree to participate in the murder of Radovid.

Stage 2: go to Radovid and lure him into a trap of conspirators

Leaving the house, we will meet Philippa Eilhart. She will express her determination to take part in the conspiracy, despite the fact that Dijkstra did not trust her and decided not to resort to her help. She will give Geralt the ring of Vizimir, Radovid's father, which Philippa had after the murder of the King of Redania, and Radovid knew this. Next, we go to Radovid on his "yacht", which, quite by chance, but very conveniently, is in the port of Novigrad. We tell Radovid that we know where Philip is and as proof we give the father's ring. Radovid swallows the bait.

Stage 3: Deal with Radovid's guards

Radovid gathers all his people and, together with Geralt, goes to the Bridge to the Temple Island, where the conspirators have prepared a trap for him. On the Bridge, Radovid confirms the correctness of Geralt's choice to participate in the elimination of the mad king, ordering his people to kill Geralt. The plan of the conspirators goes ashes, we have to improvise. Geralt is rescued by Roche and Bianca. Further, together with Roche and his people, we destroy the entire detachment of Radovid's guards.

After we deal with all the guards, we watch the cut-scene. Radovid, cornered, knocks on the house from which Philippa comes out, blinds him with magic powder in revenge for blinding her, and then kills him with a dagger.

After that, we return to the gathering place in the empty theater of Madame Irene. After a short conversation between the conspirators, disagreements arise regarding the future fate of Temeria. There will be a choice of who to support:

  • support Dijkstra, and the northern kingdoms will unite under Chancellor Sigismund Dijkstra, and drive Nilfgaard out of Temeria for the Yaruga. Temeria will become a free and prosperous country.
  • support Roche, Taller and Bianca, and as a reward for the elimination of Radovid, Emperor Emhyr will make Temeria a vassal state of the Nilfgaardian Empire. The Northern Kingdoms will lose the war with Nilfgaard.

To start the task, you will need to ask the merchant about the items, you will find out that each of them is rumored to be a key, but he does not know where the locks that open with the help of items. The only clue he will give you is that the magician's house was located near Oxenfurt, which was destroyed when trying to capture the magician. After that, you will be asked to look at all these things, for the quest you will only need the "Lizard Figurine", but if you want to get another task, then buy the "jade figurine" at the same time (quest "Nobleman's Figurine").

To understand the secrets that Aeramas left behind, you will have to go to his residence. As the merchant said, the house was almost completely destroyed, but the main thing still remained - the pentagram, which you will find on the first floor. Putting a lizard figurine on it will open a portal to the dungeon.

Once in the dungeon, you will have to complete several challenges in order to receive a reward.

1. Cheese Trial (Tyromancy Room):

You have to go through a kind labyrinth. The magician uses cheese in his research; here it is already rotten, and Geralt, when approaching a green cloud, will begin to suffocate. You need to find places where there is no green fog, so get to the opposite side of the thyromancy room, where you will find a broken ladder.

You will need to jump up so that the witcher is hooked and climb up the stairs. At the end of the path you will find a room with a portal, which you can open by pressing the "use" button.

2. Water test (flooded room):

You will find yourself in the next room, going down the stairs, it will become clear to you that it is completely flooded, in order to overcome the obstacle, you will need to use the left branch and swim under water.

Moving towards the mark, you will have to make a jump, since the transition to the next part has been collapsed.

This time you will find yourself in some kind of laboratory with a huge amount of cheese and dead people, on whom the magician seems to have done terrible experiments using cheese. You will be attacked by a fogger, having dealt with which you will be able to continue exploring the dungeon.

Nearby in the wall, there is an illusion that you can open using the "Eye of Nehalena" here you will find a small cache with useful items.

3. Trial by Magic (Treasury of Aeramas)

You will find yourself in the treasury of the magician. In the center of the room is a magical barrier that blocks access to the sorcerer's wealth.

In order to remove the barrier, you will first have to remove another illusion using the same eye of Nehalena on the left side of the treasury.

In the treasury you will find some money as well as a figurine of a snake (it will help you open the last portal in this treasury and get out).

At the statue in the center you will find a relic sword, which Geralt will call Emmental in honor of the perfect journey.

In order to get out, you need to activate the portal by going up the stairs. You will find yourself on the second floor of the sorcerer's house. Here you can find a chest with a drawing of an improved Kota school armor, as well as the last entry from the sorcerer's diary.

How to pass the quest?

  1. We need to get back to Novigrad. There is a shop in the northern part of the city near the hairdresser. The merchant will tell Geralt about the treasures of the Aeramas estate and sell his things (be sure to buy a lizard). After you need to return to the estate.
  2. Geralt needs to search the estate with the help of the witcher's instincts. So the player will find the sorcerer's notes, as well as the drawing of the Cat's armor. The next step is to explore the pentagram, using the sorcerer's artifacts, open the portal.

If the player searches the ruined estate from top to bottom, they will find a lot of interesting things.
