In Russia, Fiat's Panda is not familiar to anyone. Nevertheless, the A-class hatchback is selling very well in Europe, where they value a lot: a) economy, b) external compactness and c) total functionality. It only remains to add that the "teddy bear" is very roomy, interestingly designed, and the presence of the 4x4 version makes it the only representative of the mini-SUV segment. We will now talk about the last modification, selected as an independent model.

Fiat Panda 4x4: exterior and interior photos

Externally, you can distinguish an off-road Panda from a non-off-road one by an eloquent black plastic body kit. Matte panels should protect the body from scratches and make the movement on gravel, stones more gentle on the paintwork.

Another "feature" - aluminum inserts in the bumpers. These elements are intended to emphasize the presence of standard underbody protection and the use of an optimized underbody layout. As the only wheel format, a 15-inch cast is offered with 175/65 universal all-season tires.

Inside the mini-SUV, the differences from the city Panda are even less. Designers have played with a choice of fabric finishes, in an exclusive manner dressed up an already avant-garde torpedo in green plastic. And on the center console there was an additional niche for a trifle. However, even before that, the interior was replete with various boxes, shelves and pockets. It should be noted that for the supermini class, the car has a very spacious interior, and the seating arrangement allows five passengers to sit down at once. And the luggage compartment in this regard does not fail - as much as 225 liters in the stowed state, with the second row seats folded - as much as 870 liters.

Clearance, dimensions and other technical characteristics

Off-road Panda is larger than its urban counterpart

The crossover turned out to be larger than the donor in all respects:

  • length - 3686 mm (+ 33 mm);
  • width excluding mirrors - 1672 mm (+ 29 mm);
  • width including mirrors - 1882 mm;
  • height - 1605 mm (+ 54 mm);
  • wheelbase - 2300 mm;
  • front / rear track - 1411/1408 mm.

As for the ground clearance, which was increased due to the sharpening of the chassis for off-road, the Italians do not give exact figures. In fact, the increase does not exceed 1 cm - about 150 mm versus 140 mm for a regular Panda.

Available engines: fuel consumption and owner reviews in Russia

The layout of the seats allows five passengers to sit down at once

Under the hood of the hatchback, two variants of Fiat power units are installed. The 0.9 TwinAir petrol engine has only a couple of cylinders, but is equipped with a turbocharger and demonstrates a torque increase, in comparison with the previous 1.2 Fire, at the level of 40%. The engine output is 85 hp. and 145 Nm, and the peak thrust is supplied to the wheels already at 1900 rpm. A good option for city and highway, as the unit is supplied paired with a "mechanic" for six gears. In the driving mode "from traffic lights to traffic lights", with a standard start-stop system, the motor is content with 6 liters of "95" per 100 km, and on the highway appetites drop to 4.3 l / 100 km. On average, there should be about 5 liters per hundred. To achieve the minimum consumption of gasoline, you can select the "eco" mode, which limits the engine output within 77.6 hp. and 100 Nm.

An alternative for lovers of maximum throttle response and driving with a trailer is the 1.3 Multijet turbodiesel. It is more powerful, produces 95 "horses", and is able to pull the "kid" out of any situation due to the maximum torque of 200 Nm, which is entrusted to the driver's hands already at a crankshaft speed of 1500 rpm. By the way, there are one third more Newtonometers here than the previous generation motor had. Fans of super-economy will not be disappointed, because in the combined mode the 35-liter tank is empty at a speed of 4.4 l / 100 km. The only drawback can be considered a 5-speed "mechanics", which lacks one more lever position for high-speed driving on the highway. But all overlaps the high-torque on the "bottom" and the elasticity of the motor in a dirt surface.

The maximum speed with gasoline and diesel engines is the same and amounts to 166-167 km / h. The same applies to acceleration dynamics: from zero to 100 km / h, the motors accelerate their carriers in more than 12 seconds. Automatic and robotic transmissions are not offered, while both powertrains work exclusively with an all-wheel drive system.

Shortly after the release of the all-wheel drive version of the Panda, Fiat decided to further develop the theme of the hatchback's off-road talents and introduced the world to the Panda Cross. In technical terms, it was the same "4x4" - four-wheel drive, "mechanics", semi-independent rear suspension. The only important difference was the more solid ground clearance - 161 mm. The main part of the features of the "Cross" modification comes down to stylistic delights. The front and rear optics were changed, a massive radiator protection appeared in front. At the same time, the SUV has a richer standard package including automatic climate control and TomTom navigation.

Off-road test drive

Unlike most small cars with a desire to pass themselves off as the conquerors of the "intersection", the Panda 4x4 wants not to seem, but to be an SUV. The main sign of this should be considered a permanent all-wheel drive, which in the "auto" mode electronically transfers 2% of the torque to the rear (driven) axle. If the system detects insufficient adhesion of the wheels to the road, then 100% of the traction can migrate to the stern. This technology is designed for automatic operation and is patented under the name "Torque on demand" or Torqueon demand. In addition, there is an electronic rear differential lock (ELD) for movement on sand, snow, liquid mud, mountainous terrain - it is activated at speeds up to 50 km / h by the "off-road" button behind the gearshift lever.

Thanks to this "adult" stuffing, the Panda is able to ride on any surface, and a certain lack of ground clearance is compensated for by impressive entry / exit angles - 21 / 20º (24 / 34º in the Cross version). In addition, in the third generation, the exhaust system was integrated into the underbody (at the cost of eliminating the spare wheel), which significantly improved the geometry of the cross-country ability. Also an important point is the ultra-short first gear on both motors, which replaces the "downshift" role. True, the new Panda 4x4 was left without the original rear suspension on the trailing arms - its place was taken by a torsion bar modified for four-wheel drive. At the front, as before, there are MacPherson strings installed. Compared to the previous generation, the ride has become smoother, and the noise level in the cabin has decreased. But real miracles should not be expected - when driving on gullies too actively, the short-travel suspension breaks through, and the low-hanging bottom here and there rubs against stones and earthen parapets.

Price and configuration in Europe

Panda with all-wheel drive, like the regular version of the model, is not officially supplied to Russia. Moreover, there is no data on the upcoming changes in this policy. The main reason for this situation is low demand for compact, but not cheap cars, which are more focused on Western buyers. As for European sales, at home, a gasoline Fiat Panda 4x4 costs from 17,850 euros - 6,550 euros more expensive than a mono-drive configuration. If you want to buy a 1.3 turbodiesel, the minimum price will be € 18,800. However, the Panda Cross is even more expensive - 19,950 € for the 0.9 Twin Air motor and 20,900 € for the 1.3 Multijet.

How much can you buy used in Moscow

Due to the fact that the third generation Pandas are not available in our country, only copies of the second generation are presented on the secondary market. You can buy such a car at a price of 170,000 rubles. The most affordable and widespread are petrol versions with 1.1 and 1.2 engines, equipped with a manual transmission. Fiat Panda with "automatic" is less common and costs an average of 250-300 thousand rubles. Four-wheel drive specifications are almost never on sale.

The third generation of the Italian hatchback Fiat Panda was officially presented to European motorists at the Frankfurt Motor Show in autumn 2011. A year later, in the fall of 2012, the Fiat Panda 4x4, an all-wheel drive version of the compact, was presented in Paris. Previous generations of the Italian Super Mini Panda have earned a reputation for being reliable and comfortable cars.
The first generation of the model was produced 23 !!! years, the second was not so long-liver and was produced for 8 years. For 31 years, Italians have managed to sell more than 6.5 million compact cars, and it is a pity that a car is a rarity in Russia. In our review article, we will tell you in detail about the advantages of the new generation Fiat Panda, the sales of which started in April 2013 from our neighbors in Ukraine. Let's stop the readers' attention on the design of the exterior and interior of the novelty, overall dimensions of the body, installed wheels and tires, enamel color options, full technical characteristics of the new Fiat Panda 2013. We will try to comfortably accommodate five passengers in the cabin and luggage in the trunk, consider filling the car with basic and additional options , we will conduct a test drive, find out the real fuel consumption, prices and configurations that are offered to buy. Video and photo materials, comments of auto journalists will become our assistants.

More compact hatchback reviews:

and

  • Let's start with the overall dimensions of the body of the new Fiat Panda: 3653 mm in length, 1643 mm in width (with unfolded mirrors 1882 mm), 1551 mm in height, 2300 mm wheelbase, with 175/65 R14 or 185/55 R15 tires installed ground clearance 155 mm. Wheels are available in 14 radius steel or size 15 light alloy.
  • Fiat Panda 4x4 is 3686 mm long, 1672 mm (with mirrors 1882 mm) wide, 2300 mm wheelbase, 1605 mm high, with 175/65 R15 tires, the ground clearance is 170 mm, stylish alloy wheels of size 15 are installed.

The new generation of the compact Fiat Panda was endowed by Italian designers with a modern and stylish appearance. The front part of the body is organically decorated with three-level light, neat ovals of headlights are installed on the top, a huge bumper with a large air duct is complemented by the beams of daytime running lights and fog lights installed on contrasting inserts made of black plastic. A short bonnet with waves of embossing gives the front of the car a solid and assertive look.

The length of the car body is a little more than 3.5 meters, but how competently every centimeter is used. Compact sloping hood, comfortable doorways, high and flat roof, powerful profile of wheel arches, vertical stern. And how stylish the windows neatly inscribed into the rear pillars and the vertically installed side lamp shades look.

The stern of the compact Italian hatchback was created taking into account the cramped streets of European cities. A vertical tailgate, a lean bumper with an additional lining made of unpainted plastic and a pair of light elements, supporting the roof high, the main headlights of the head marker lighting equipment climbed up.

To protect the body from minor damage, not only the rear bumper is supplemented with plastic protection, wide linings are installed on the door panels (in the parking lot they will protect the paintwork from negligent neighbors) - and this is for an ordinary city hatchback.

The body of the Fiat Panda 4x4 version is additionally protected by a crossover plastic body kit. All the lower parts of the car, from the bumpers, sills and ending with the edges of the wheel arches in clothing made of unpainted plastic. The engine compartment from below covers a metal protective sheet from unwanted contact with road irregularities.

Smooth lines and contours of the body made it possible to achieve an excellent indicator of frontal aerodynamic resistance to air flow of only 0.32 Cx. The small body of the third-generation Fiat Panda is distinguished by a phenomenally high indicator of structural rigidity - 71300 Nm / deg, for comparison, a trained participant in the Russian championship in road-ring races VAZ-21106 has an indicator of 51800 Nm / deg.

  • European car enthusiasts can choose from a bright and wide range of enamel colors: Blanco Sincero (white), Bilge Accogllente (beige), Rosso Gloloso (light red), Rosso Cupldo (bright red), Turchese Sognante (turquoise), Viola Profumato (purple), Grigio Silver (silver), Blu Dipintodiblu (dark blue), Verde Toscana (dark green), Aranclo Sicilla (orange), Marrone Avvolgente (dark brown) and Nero Seducente (black).

The interior of the 2013 Fiat Panda compact hatchback is comfortable and cozy. The driver's workplace will delight the owner with the original design of the steering wheel, a stylish and informative dashboard with squares of the speedometer, tachometer and a large screen of the on-board computer. The softness of straight lines and square buttons with rounded corners for audio, air conditioning and auxiliary functions fit seamlessly into the overall concept of a square interior design.

Inside the car, all solutions are aimed at achieving the most convenient and functional interior design, visible simplicity hides the convenience of using all vehicle controls and a lot of storage space for small things. An open shelf on the front, large pockets in the front and rear doors, tables in the back of the front seats, a lot of containers for bottles, a total of 14 compartments.

Front seats with excellent lateral support provide a comfortable and comfortable fit, longitudinal adjustment range 220 mm, vertical 60 mm. There is enough space for people with a height of 190 cm.Of course, if the rear passengers move all the way back, their legs will have nowhere to put, but if not tall driver and passenger are sitting in the front row, then the inhabitants of the second row will sit comfortably. With one caveat - the third is clearly superfluous, the width of the cabin will not allow, and the transmission tunnel is too high.

As a bonus, the rear row is able to move along the passenger compartment by 160 mm, increasing the volume of the luggage compartment from 225 to 260 liters. Fold down the second row of seats to get a flat trunk floor, alas, will not work, but the cargo capacity will increase to 870 liters. To transport items longer than 2000 mm, the back of the passenger seat can be folded forward in addition to the backs of the rear row seats.

Italian interior designers offer the potential owner a wide range of colors for the interior design of the Fiat Panda 2013: the dashboard and door cards can be decorated in beige, red, blue or green, the seat upholstery is monochromatic, combined or with a different geometric pattern. At the same time, the quality of the materials used and the accuracy of the assembly of the cabin are pleasantly pleased.

In Ukraine, Fiat Panda is offered in one Easy configuration: ABS with EBD, 4 airbags, central locking, air conditioning, Dualdrive electric power steering with City mode (provides minimal steering effort in city mode), steering column height adjustment, radio (CD MP3 6 speakers), front power windows, power heated mirrors, driver's seat lift.

Specifications new global Fiat Panda 2013: the car is sold in 160 countries, which implies the use of a new modular platform. Front suspension on MacPherson struts, rear beam on torsion bars. Changing the architecture, suspension attachment points, the use of powerful anti-roll bars and elastic suspension elements allowed the engineers to achieve an omnivorous suspension. Even on disgusting road surfaces, the compact hatchback's chassis handles bumps like a crossover suspension. At the same time, the cabin is quiet and comfortable, the suspension was originally created taking into account the operation of the car in difficult conditions.

Of the 160 countries in which they plan to sell the new Fiat Panda, at best half have a quality road surface. At the same time, on high-quality asphalt, the car's handling is like a kart, the Fiat Panda test drive demonstrates sharp steering, minimal rolls in corners, excellent and stable behavior even at high speeds.

The Italian compact Fiat Panda of the 3rd generation is driven by one of four engines (three gasoline and one diesel engines).
Gasoline:

  • The newest 0.9-liter two-cylinder Twin Air (65 hp) mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
  • A turbocharged version of the TwinAir Turbo 0.9-liter engine (85 hp) in tandem with a 5 speed manual transmission.
  • The four-cylinder 1.2-liter (69 hp) with 5 manual transmissions is capable of accelerating a hatchback weighing 940 kg to a maximum speed of 164 km / h, the car gains the first hundred in 14.2 seconds. Combined cycle fuel consumption approx. 5.2 liters.
  • And the 1.3-liter 1.3 Multijet diesel engine (75 hp) is equipped with a start-stop system, 5-speed mechanics and is able to be content with only 3.9 liters of fuel in mixed driving mode. Acceleration to 100 km / h in 12.8 seconds, with the maximum possible 168 km / h.
    A robotic gearbox is available as an alternative for all engines.

The all-wheel drive Fiat Panda 4x4 is equipped with TwinAir Turbo (85 hp) and diesel 1.3 Multijet (75 hp). The gearbox is mechanical 6-speed with the first creeping gear providing a confident start uphill or when driving on soft soils. Permanent four-wheel drive is provided by electronics, transferring torque along the axes, there is an electronic imitation of differential locks with the possibility of manual control and a stabilization system.
Compact dimensions, minimal overhangs, advanced all-wheel drive and well-matched gear ratio ratios, curb weight from 1050 to 1115 kg endow the Fiat Panda 4x4 with excellent off-road characteristics. The SUV looks like a bug, but it can drive on roads that are beyond the power of many large crossovers.

Ukrainian motorists can buy a new Fiat Panda 2013 with a 1.2-liter 69 horsepower engine and 5 manual transmissions in the Easy configuration for 109.9 thousand hryvnia, which is about 440 thousand rubles. In Italy, the cost of the new Fiat Panda 2013 is from 10,200 euros, and the off-road version of the Fiat Panda 4x4 - from 16,950 euros.

Fiat Panda Cross. Production: Italy. In Russia, it may be, but most likely not. Price? Better read it to the end ...

No, I still won't hold back. And I will not torment the reader with my writing exercises in anticipation of a denouement. I’ll say right away and straight away: do you see this, without a doubt, an attractive car that can accommodate four, and in the case of a successful sum of anthropometric data and five, and with the comfort of a box that accepts a pair of shoes? Good, isn't it? Do you know how much it costs? Nine ... No, wait a little longer.

He cannot but attract. To be honest, I liked him right away. Especially when I was offered to drive it along the same off-road route of the Fiat test site in Balocco, where a few months ago I took all my questions about the latest generation Jeep-Cherokee. I already knew perfectly well what awaits this adorable little chicken-colored little car, and this greatly added respect to him.

EASIER AND HARDER

Four-wheel drive "Panda" is not new for thirty years. The 4 × 4 version was in all three generations of the model. And they have always been something more than just the desire of the manufacturer to increase profits through a magic formula. They really knew how to cope with off-road. And the fresh model is no exception. Four-wheel drive on the third generation "Panda" was offered a year and a half ago. Simultaneously simplifying and complicating the car compared to the previous four-wheel drive version. The viscous coupling as a way of transmitting torque to the rear wheels has given way to more progressive electrohydraulics, which makes it possible to react faster and more accurately to changes in the road situation. But the rear suspension has become simpler - instead of an independent scheme on the longitudinal oblique levers, a conventional, albeit reinforced, torsion beam is now used.

In this case, the differential is rigidly fixed to the body and connected to the wheels by swinging semi-axles.

Why did you go for simplification? It was necessary to sacrifice something for the sake of weight reduction and cost reduction. After all, the current Panda, due to government pressure on Fiat (in fact, it is a ban on mass production abroad), is produced in Italy, in contrast to its predecessor, supplied from the Polish branch. And native assembly, coupled with the transition to a new generation, is expensive: the price of the base model has jumped by 27%!

Even the usual "Panda 4 × 4" has a very decent off-road potential for its size. Actually, the modesty of the dimensions just turns into an advantage: the overhangs of the body are minimal, the curb weight is about 1000 kg. The ground clearance has been increased to 152 mm, the shock absorber mountings and the McPherson strut mountings have been reinforced, the rear wheel drive clutch can be locked by pressing a button. True, the car has no appearance: a pair of black linings barely distinguish it from other "Pandas". For Villan, this is quite suitable, but hardly for a city dude.

For those who like to show off, we made a version of "Cross". It's brighter, more expensive ... and even better off-road! "Cross" is not just a name and additional tinsel from plastic covers, shiny roof rails and LED running lights. Here, the ground clearance increased by another 9 mm and reached 161 mm (this is for the gasoline version, for the diesel version it is 3 mm less). Other additions include all-season tires, which have added 10 mm in width and lean more confidently on the ground, and a completely new rotating controller (with the pathetic name "terrain control") for controlling the four-wheel drive modes. Well, just like on off-road vehicles at a price ... mmm ... let's say, the size is two times more. True, this controller is more for entourage here. The range of its functions is not wider than that of other crossovers: the choice between the automatic distribution of the moment between the axles (by default, 95% of the thrust goes forward) and a rigidly locked clutch. And in the extreme right position of the controller, the downhill assist system is activated. We'll go down one way or another, but how do we get up? After all, the torque of a two-cylinder supercharged engine with a working volume of 875 cc. cm from the Twinair family, favored by international awards, only 145 Nm - the coffee grinder probably has more ...

DOUBLE AFTERBURGER

This engine, small even for a modern motorcycle, can be embarrassing with its unusual rattling at medium revs and above. And in general, he begins to live at only 3000 rpm, but for a tiny "Panda" his capabilities are enough. Moreover, for the "Cross" the engine was even boosted a little, increasing the power by 5 hp. and bringing it up to 90 forces in the end. Just never press the "Eco" button - you will immediately feel the true volume of the motor.

And I will not say that against the background of a gasoline engine, another version of the engine - a completely ordinary four-cylinder turbodiesel with a working volume of 1.3 liters and a capacity of 80 forces - is very different. It pulls only slightly better, and the noise and vibration from it is about the same - despite the reinforced insulation of the engine shield in the diesel version. And even the most important argument does not seem so weighty - a diesel engine is more economical than a gasoline engine, on average, by only 0.2 liters per 100 km.

On a normal road, the petrol "Panda" should be vigorously adjusted from time to time by shifting gears. But I will not say that it is so often. It is pleasant to do this in any case - not every car, even a class above, can boast of such a carefully calibrated switching mechanism. Short moves, firm hold, no problem. There are six steps in the box, and the first gear, very short, is specially selected for off-road excursions (we are familiar with this technique from Renault Duster). It is she who helps to climb such slopes, from which at first you want to run far away.

I put the all-wheel drive transmission into off-road mode (now the clutch is locked and distributes torque forward and backward equally, but opens at speeds over 50 km / h) and, slightly spurring the engine, surprisingly just climbs the slope. And then, turning the transmission handle to the extreme position, I turn on the downhill assistance system - and the "bear", braking with its wheels, descends downward at a speed of about 5 km / h. There is nothing surprising in this, all this has been passed hundreds of times on a wide variety of off-road vehicles and crossovers.

SERIOUS CUSTOMIZATION

It seems to be a crossover as a crossover, but this is what surprises. Getting acquainted with this car for the first time, you do not expect that, despite its frivolous appearance, it will turn out to be a completely serious car. The feeling is about the same as if you buy a cute toy alarm clock in the store, and it suddenly turns out to be waterproof, with a built-in GPS receiver and a cell phone jammer.

Due to its high seating position, the Panda Cross rolls in corners, like a wardrobe carried by porters along the stairs, but it still rolls clearly and transparently. You don't even think about the fact that the effort on the steering wheel could be a little more, and the tires - better. Still, all-season is far from the best option. Too early they start to slip. But on the cobblestone road, I never once doubted the energy intensity of the suspension. There was not even a hint of breakdown. At the same time, the level of ride comfort is quite decent, and the stabilization system practically did not interfere with the control process, allowing it to glide moderately on gravel - the all-wheel drive transmission dampened drift well, modifying it by giving the moment back. Indeed, only under normal conditions, 95% of the thrust goes forward - and if necessary, almost the same amount can be supplied to the rear wheels.

At the international show in Geneva in the spring of 2003, the Italian company Fiat organized the official demonstration of the second generation Panda subcompact hatchback, which was called the "Gingo" at the stage of development. Throughout the history of its existence, the car has been repeatedly modernized: in September 2005, the list of equipment was expanded for it, in March 2007, the interior was updated, and in 2009, the technical component was finalized and new options were added. The five-door lasted on the conveyor until the end of 2012, after which it was replaced by a new model.

Something extraordinary in the appearance of the second generation Fiat Panda cannot be found, but the car is definitely catchy with its appearance. For all its compactness on the outside, the hatchback looks like not a small minivan with high roof contours and a pronounced hood, the body of which flaunts strict rectangular headlights, vertically elongated lights and neatly arranged bumpers.

Fiat "Panda" 2nd is the "player" of the A-class according to the European classification and is 3538 mm long, 1540 mm high and 1589 mm wide. The Italian small car has a wheelbase of 2299 mm, and a ground clearance of 120 mm.

Inside the second "release" of Fiat Panda, an unpretentious, but cozy atmosphere reigns, but the overall impression is spoiled by the cheapness of the finish. The interior of the five-door looks simple, but not primitive: a three-spoke steering wheel, a laconic instrument cluster and a symmetrical center console, on which a radio tape recorder, ventilation deflectors and an original air conditioner "control" are "registered".
The second-generation Panda's furnishings can accommodate four adult passengers with ample space in both rows of seats. Here are just the front seats and the rear sofa have an amorphous profile and do not have a high level of comfort.

Fiat Panda has a small trunk - only 206 liters in standard form. "Gallery" is transformed by two identical parts and brings the usable volume up to 860 liters, but it does not form a flat surface.

Specifications. On the second generation "Panda" you can find three engines working in combination with a 5-speed "mechanics" or "robot" and a front-wheel drive transmission or all-wheel drive with a multi-plate clutch in the rear axle.

  • The gasoline palette on the city car is represented by atmospheric "fours" with a volume of 1.1 and 1.2 liters with an in-line structure, 8-valve timing and distributed fuel injection, developing 54-60 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 88-102 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm / minute.
  • Diesel for the hatchback is available one - a four-cylinder 16-valve 1.2-liter unit with turbocharging and a Common Rail system, producing 70 "stallions" at 4000 rpm and 145 Nm of ultimate thrust at 1500 rpm.

The Italian small car does not differ in its "speed": it reaches the maximum of 145-160 km / h, accelerating to the first "hundred" after 13-20 seconds. Gasoline versions of the car consume 5.4-6.6 liters of fuel in mixed mode, and diesel versions - 4.3-5.4 liters.

The second "release" Fiat Panda is built on the front-wheel drive platform "Fiat Mini" with a transversely oriented power plant in the front part. The machine is equipped with a MacPherson-type independent suspension at the front and a semi-independent torsion beam architecture at the rear.
On the city car, a rack and pinion steering center with an electric power steering is used. The five-door has front disc brakes and rear drum brakes (on all-wheel drive versions - all disc brakes), supplemented by ABS.

Equipment and prices. In the secondary market of Russia, the "second" Fiat Panda in 2016 is offered at a price of 150,000 to 300,000 rubles - depending on the modification, year of "birth" and technical condition.
In all trim levels, the car boasts the presence of: one airbag, fabric trim, power steering, immobilizer, standard audio preparation and some other options.

The third generation of the compact Fiat Panda appeared before the world community in 2011, and just a year later, a modification with a 4x4 attachment saw the light. She received a similar engine range, slightly retouched interior and more interesting design. With its increased ground clearance, uniquely designed large alloy wheels and high-profile tires, the model looks more solid than the regular front-wheel drive version. Moreover, the manufacturer has slightly expanded the color palette for the body. From now on, the car can be additionally painted in soft orange or dark green metallic. In the last version, the compact car, thanks to the relief stampings, looks like a real jeep. It should be noted the stylish crossover body kit on the bumpers, doors and sills. It protects the paintwork in the most vulnerable places and gives the novelty an off-road charm.

Dimensions (edit)

Despite the external surroundings, the Fiat Panda 4x4 is an A-class minicar hatchback. Its overall dimensions are: length 3686 mm, width 1672 mm, height 1605 mm, and a wheelbase of 2300 mm. As for the ground clearance, it has been increased by 20 mm and is not very impressive 140 mm. This clearance is typical of most compact city cars. Thanks to their low center of gravity, they boast good maneuverability, so necessary in winding streets. As for the suspension itself, it does not stand out in anything special. At the front there are independent McPherson struts with an anti-roll bar, and at the rear there is a semi-dependent beam.

Despite its small size, the volume of the trunk is quite tolerable. With the backs of the second row of seats up, there is about 225 liters of free space in the back.

Specifications

The novelty will be equipped with two motors inherited from the standard version, exclusively mechanical variable transmissions and a plug-in all-wheel drive system. The latter is capable of transferring some of the torque to the rear axle, but only at speeds less than 50 kilometers per hour.

The base motor is an in-line turbocharged gasoline two-cylinder unit with 875 cubic centimeters. Despite its tiny volume, the direct fuel injection system and advanced turbocharger allowed the engineers to squeeze out 85 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 145 Nm of torque, starting from just 1900 crankshaft rpm. Such versions gain one hundred kilometers per hour in 12.1 seconds, accelerate to a maximum of 166 km / h and consume about 4.9 liters of gasoline per hundred in a combined driving cycle.

An alternative unit is a 1.2-liter in-line turbodiesel. It produces 75 horses at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. Heavy fuel models accelerate to 100 km / h in 14.5 seconds, reach a maximum of 159 km / h and consume 4.7 liters of diesel fuel per hundred kilometers in the same mode.

Outcome

Panda 4x4 is a new look at a model with a long history. She has an unusual and memorable design, in perfect harmony with the class and technical stuffing of the model. Such a car will perfectly emphasize the character and personality of its owner. Salon is a kingdom of high-quality finishing materials, well-thought-out ergonomics and practicality. Even heavy traffic or a country trip should not bring unnecessary inconvenience to the driver. The manufacturer is well aware that a modern car, first of all, should give pleasure from driving. That is why, the hatchback is equipped with compact and efficient powertrains, which are a fusion of advanced technology and many years of experience of engineers. Fiat Panda 4x4 is a compact and economical vehicle with all terrain.
