The Geely MK Cross is an off-road version of the hatchback. The Chinese creators have stylized the car as a “crossover” as much as possible. Trunk Geely MK Cross boasts 450 liters of volume (including the underground) - and this figure is impressive for a compact hatchback body with a length of 4 meters. The volume of the luggage compartment is enough both for shopping trips and for outings in nature, where you often have to take a variety of equipment with you. If necessary, the volume of the cargo compartment can be significantly increased by folding the rear seat backrest. What is pleasant is that a completely flat cargo area is formed. The shape of the trunk may not be ideal (the wheel arches protrude), but it is comfortable, thanks to which its volume can be used to the fullest extent. There is a place under the floor for a full-size spare wheel, which sometimes you will not find on more expensive cars.

Also, do not forget that this is not a crossover, but rather an off-road hatchback. At medium speeds, the Kros behaves stably, it is controlled predictably, it holds the road confidently, although it clearly does not want to dash on it: when cornering at high speeds, body roll is observed.

Tuning Geely MK Cross. The Chinese pseudo-crossover Geely MK Cross is the car that is great for everyday urban use, for outdoor activities. Owner reviews say that it does not cause problems up to a mileage of 80 thousand kilometers. Further, you may need to replace shock absorbers, front silent blocks, ball joints and stabilizer struts. But there is a big plus for this crossover - high maintainability. Spare parts are at the level of Russian VAZs. And you can replace something yourself. The suspension is very simple. How does this car behave on the road? The hatchback enters the corners normally. Moves confidently along the highway. But after 130 kilometers per hour, the car begins to "catch a rut" - this is noted in the reviews by the owners. The most comfortable speed for her is 90 kilometers per hour. The suspension has a long travel. But on strong pits it breaks through, and you can hear it in the cabin. Although this is an off-road version, you should be careful on bumps.

Before inflation, the price of the new Geely MK Cross was about 300 thousand rubles. It was the second most affordable car after the Grants. Now on Geely MK Cross the price has dropped slightly. Many people prefer to take this "Chinese" as an alternative to "Kalina" (which is also available in the "Cross" version). Nevertheless, the MK Cross's exterior design is quite successful, without controversial details. The same cannot be said about the interior decoration. The price of the car is 389 thousand rubles, for an additional payment of 30 thousand you will receive a leather interior and an electric sunroof.

In our maximum version, the MK Cross is equipped with a sunroof and leather interior. The latter can only be more practical if you are transporting small children or animals - it will be easier to clean the upholstery after them. Otherwise, it is rather a minus. The rough finish already began to bubble with our mileage of several thousand kilometers. The frost has not yet arrived, and it is very unpleasant to sit on the ice seat, unfortunately, there is no seat heating here.

If the driver's door slams shut without difficulty, then the passenger has to be applied from the heart - none of my companions could close the door the first time. Judging by the reviews on the Internet, many people have similar problems.

When the door is opened, even with the engine turned off, Geely carefully turns on the emergency light. For a long time the car washer could not understand why I turned it on in the box. Another moment, which even scared me a little the first time, was the operation of the horn if you start moving with the door unlocked. It seems to me that it would be more logical to make the beeper inside the car, and not outside ... But inside the riders, even the voice acting of the turn signal relay does not distract, as if it does not exist. Another of the originals is the only windshield washer nozzle in the center of the hood.

Previously, MK was equipped with dial gauges, in our version they are completely digital, albeit with primitive graphics. Moreover, the panel itself is recessed deep into the bowels of the console and its indicators are visible only to the driver. In principle, everything is displayed quite clearly, but I am more of a supporter of dial gauges, especially when it comes to a tachometer or a fuel gauge. It's a bit cramped behind the wheel, especially if the passenger on the right claims the armrest. In this case, when switching, you constantly touch him with your elbow.

Backward visibility is hidden by wide struts. Narrow exterior mirrors make you twist your head every time you change. When parking, parking sensors would help out, but the care of its installation should fall on the buyer.

The rear seats are surprisingly roomy, but only for the knees. The head rests on the ceiling, even if you are of a modest stature, and this is especially noticeable in the presence of a hatch. The trunk is too small, you can't put a stroller here, and you can only unlock it from the outside with a key, and the flimsy handle for slamming on our car was broken by someone before us.

MK Cross performed well on the move. The suspension successfully copes with pits, but the shock absorbers (especially on rebound) leave much to be desired - noisy and shaking. The brakes were unimpressive, possibly due to the Dunlop Graspic winter tires. The steering wheel is not very willing to return to zero, you have to help in sharp turns.

The motor does a good job of its duties, it spins cheerfully, but it's too vociferous. The clarity of gear shifting caused criticism, especially tight gears are stuck on an unheated car, sometimes it was possible to turn the rear one only through double squeezing of the clutch. I also noticed a strange glitch: at the moment of gear shifting, when the clutch was squeezed out, the speed suddenly increased ...

On the tested car, the odometer was less than 10 thousand, and at the same time, rust was visible from under the door sills. Having rummaged on the forum, I noted that other owners also complain of poor corrosion resistance. Geely MK Cross owners also complain about expensive parts and fragile but expensive bumpers:

Six months after the purchase, I was fucked in the ass with a VW B4. Even if he could, the bumper was deformed a little, and my Chinese woman had a full rear *****. They tried to pull it out in the service, the metal just breaks.
