How the model was created
As a prototype of the PAZ 3205 bus, the 665th model was used, which was developed in 1966 in Pavlovsk, at the bus plant. The first copy rolled off the assembly line in 1981. Its biggest drawback, in my opinion, is the ZMZ-53 engine - it is rather weak for a bus. Well, and accordingly the clutch. This bus was originally created for rural areas, trips from city to village, for regional and suburban routes with low passenger traffic. In a nightmare, the designers did not expect that the PAZ 3205 would be used as one of the main buses in large cities. After all, what we proudly call "route taxi", in fact, is an ordinary regular, scheduled bus service. Nobody imagined that PAZ 3205 would be systematically (several times a day) packed up to the nominal (5 people per square meter), or even full (8 people per square meter) capacity. The bus is fast enough, has sufficient (with human occupancy) comfort. Although very tough. Withstands poor maintenance and the most brutal treatment. Yes, the car is outdated since its inception. Well, so the Pavlovsk plant has a new (2006) and much more advanced model 3204.

It's good if you do all this in the garage, and not on the way, with nervous passengers in the cabin. But what I liked about the PAZ 3205 was the power steering. By 10 years of operation, ABS begins to "glitch", the brakes work, then no. The solution to the problem is to disconnect the wiring harness under the driver's seat. And try to smear the futorki with copper grease, of course, you can't unscrew it from your hand, but they go much easier.

Poor windshield blowing at low temperatures; outside direction indicators are installed in an ill-conceived place, which contributes to throwing dirt from under the front wheel. There are also questions about the tightness of the doors and the heating of the PAZ 3205 interior. As for heating, we can say the following: in winter, the PAZ 3205 bus is a refrigerator, and in summer it is an oven. There are also problems with a diesel engine - since the engine itself is very noisy, and working with such noise for a long time is simply unbearable. The braking system has been converted to pneumatic - this is a plus, but the conversion of bumpers from metal to plastic is the "know-how of the plant" (since plastic bumpers even crack themselves at low temperatures and, in my opinion, it would be better if the bumpers were completely removed or they came up with something something more original). Also, on the outside, the body joints are sealed with tape and sheathed with aluminum strips, under which moisture gets and soon metal corrosion appears. In general, we still need to work and work on creating a normal bus, because in other countries they somehow know how to make pretty good equipment.
