Periodic maintenance

For the trouble-free operation of the Hyundai Car, it is necessary to regularly carry out maintenance (MOT) in accordance with the regulations given in the operation manual for each car model including MOT -1 month *;

Periodic maintenance must be performed by Hyundai Authorized Service Partners;

The maximum deviation from the established maintenance intervals should not exceed 1000 km or 1 month. (whichever comes first);

The date and / or mileage at which the next maintenance is carried out is determined by counting the corresponding amount of time and / or mileage from the date of the start of the warranty for the Hyundai Car (whichever comes first). Thus, there is a maintenance mode "by time" and "by mileage";

In the event that the operating conditions of the Hyundai Automobile lead to a change in the maintenance mode "by time" to the mode "by mileage" or vice versa, then the principle should be guided by the principle that the interval between maintenance under normal conditions should not exceed that established for each specific model maintenance interval;

Failure to perform or improperly perform periodic maintenance, including if the maintenance was performed by a non-Authorized Service Partner Hyundai (Hyundai) at the time of such maintenance, may result in a refusal to carry out repairs under warranty;

Based on the results of the checks recommended within the scope of maintenance, the Authorized Service Partner Hyundai (Hyundai) can recommend additional work not included in the maintenance regulations specified in the operation manual for each car model.

Maintenance prices are set by Hyundai Authorized Service Partners;

Car maintenance is a guarantee of the efficiency of components and assemblies. So, the Hyundai Solaris maintenance regulations are a list of works that are done at a certain mileage in order for the main components and assemblies to nurture their resource.

Specifications

Hyundai Solaris was developed on the basis of the Hyundai Verna (aka fourth-generation Accent) car and began production in early 2011 in the sedan body. A little later, in the same year, a hatchback version appeared. The car was equipped with two gasoline 16-valve engines with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters.

Hyundai Solaris.

The replacement frequency here is 15,000 km or 12 months. Some consumables, such as the oil and oil filter, as well as the cabin and air filters, are recommended to be changed more often in severe operating conditions. These include driving at low speeds, driving frequent short distances, driving in extremely dusty areas, and towing other cars and trailers.

The Solaris routine maintenance scheme is as follows:

Mileage maintenance

Solaris maintenance is carried out according to the manufacturer's regulatory grid. At the same time, the main emphasis is on the power unit that needs most maintenance.

Maintenance.

List of works during maintenance 1 (mileage 15,000 km.)

Lifetime replacements

Replacing the belt of ancillary units is not regulated by the exact mileage. Its condition is checked every 15 thousand km, and it is replaced if it shows signs of wear. The average price for a belt with catalog number 6PK2137 is 1,500 rubles, the price for an automatic tensioner pulley with article number 252812B010 is 3,680 rubles.

The gearbox is filled with oil for the entire service life, both in the mechanics and in the machine. According to the regulations, it is only required to control the level at each inspection, and, if necessary, top up. However, some experts still recommend changing the oil in the box every 60,000 km. Also, replacement may be required when repairing the gearbox:

Maintenance schedule.

The oil filling volume in the manual transmission is 1.9 liters of GL-4 type transmission fluid. You can fill in oil 75W90 LIQUI MOLY, catalog number 1 liter. - 3979, the average price is about 900 rubles.

The filling volume of automatic transmission oil is 6.8 liters, it is recommended to fill in a liquid of the SK ATF SP-III class. The catalog number of the package for 1 liter is 0450000100, the average price is about 550 rubles.

The timing chain on the Hyundai Solaris is designed for the entire service life of the vehicle. However, nothing lasts forever, so after 120,000 km. mileage, you can start wondering about the cost and how to change it. The average price for a chain with catalog number 243212B000 is 3200 rubles, a tensioner with article number 2441025001 has an approximate price of 2850 rubles, and a timing chain shoe (244202B000) will cost somewhere in 1300 rubles.

The cost of TO Hyundai Solaris

Having data on the prices of consumables and a list of works for each maintenance, you can calculate how much the Hyundai Solaris maintenance will cost for a particular mileage. The figures will still be indicative, since a number of consumables do not have an exact replacement frequency. In addition, you can take cheaper analogs (which will save money) or carry out maintenance on the service (you will need to pay extra for its services).

In general, it looks like this. The first MOT, at which the oil is changed, along with the oil and cabin filters, is basic, since its procedures are relevant for all subsequent services. With TO 2, the replacement of the brake fluid will be added to them. At the third service, the oil, oil, cabin and air filters, as well as antifreeze are replaced. TO 4 is the most expensive, since it includes all the first two maintenance procedures, and in addition, the replacement of the fuel filter and spark plugs.

Here's how it looks more clearly:

Sooner or later, this or that mechanism fails, regardless of its quality and reliability. The reason for this is primarily the limited service life of individual parts, and if they are still subject to mechanical work, then their service life is significantly reduced.

Of course, hardly anyone will succeed in creating an eternal mechanism in the near future, but the methods of extending the life of existing systems are already known. In order for the part to serve as long as possible, it must be serviced periodically. In this case, for one mechanism, a lubricant change will be required, and for the other, the replacement of any electronic element.

General concept

Cars are no exception. This complex system, consisting of a huge number of different mechanisms, requires frequent and high-quality maintenance and testing. The quantity and quality of inspections and maintenance is determined at the factory for each car model individually. The order of procedures and their frequency are established by the maintenance schedule, depending on the mileage and age of the car.

Often, the maintenance regulations of a car provide for checking the general condition, checking individual mechanisms (engine, etc.), replacing technical fluids, replacing parts as they wear out, etc. It is also worth considering that only an authorized dealer should deal with routine maintenance and maintenance of the car under warranty. Often, motorists mistakenly service a warranty car in ordinary service stations, which leads to the cancellation of the car warranty.

Of course, many motorists neglect and are afraid of carrying out maintenance at the "officials", considering it a fraud and "pumping" money from the owner. Very often, such an opinion is formed under the influence of gossip and other people's experience. But it should also be borne in mind that maintenance is the only way to extend the life of a car and its systems.

TO Hyundai Solaris

It is best to take a fairly common car as an example to describe routine maintenance. For the Russian Federation, such a car is a B-class state employee with excellent driving characteristics and an acceptable price. It first appeared on sale in 2010 and almost immediately gained popularity among residents of the CIS countries. Today Solaris can be found even in a small town.

According to the regulations, Hyundai Solaris can only be serviced by an authorized dealership. The maintenance interval is 15,000 kilometers or 1 year. In case of severe operating conditions, it is recommended to halve the frequency.

It should be remembered that the break-in TO-0 is carried out in the first 2,000 kilometers or after 1 month. The maximum deviation from the TO point should be no more than 1 thousand kilometers or 1 month. The countdown of the next maintenance starts from the mileage and the date of the previous maintenance. The Hyundai Solaris maintenance regulations are mandatory and if they are not fulfilled, the owner may lose the warranty service.

Before full operation, any new car must be run-in. So, on a Hyundai Solaris car, the first maintenance is provided for with a mileage of 2,000 kilometers, or after 1 month from the start of operation. In the process of TO-0, a comprehensive inspection of the entire vehicle must be carried out, as well as changing the oil and oil filter with flushing the engine. Such a short interval between engine oil changes is necessary, since initially the oil in the engine is break-in and it is not recommended to drive it over the specified period.

After the first MOT, the next maintenance of the vehicle occurs after 15,000 kilometers or 1 year of operation. At the same time, on Hyundai Solaris TO 1, the list of works includes the following items:

  1. replacement:
  • air purification filter;
  • engine oil and oil filter;
  • cabin filter;
  • after which it is checked:
    • climate system;
    • braking system;
    • accessory drive belts;
    • dust shields and drive shafts;
    • exhaust system;
    • suspension elements;
    • parking brake;
    • steering;
    • tires;
    • Automatic transmission;
    • wiring;
    • doors, hinges and stops;
    • wiper nozzles.

    It should also be borne in mind that in case of poor fuel quality, it is necessary to add a fuel additive to the tank every 5 thousand kilometers, which will help maintain the fuel system in proper condition.

    If during the check any faults, loose bolts and nuts are found, then they must be eliminated, tightened or replaced with a new part.

    After 15,000 kilometers of operation or one year, the car requires the next maintenance. On Hyundai Solaris TO 2, the list of works consists of standard checks for the entire maintenance procedure, with the exception of:

    • replacement of brake fluid and clutch drive fluid;
    • checking the fuel filter;
    • replacement of spark plugs.

    As with the first maintenance, all faults must be repaired. If, during a general inspection, loosely tightened bolts and nuts were found, then they must be tightened.

    As for the next maintenance, then on Hyundai Solaris TO 3 the list of works is absolutely identical to the maintenance procedure No. 1. In addition to standard inspection procedures, the regulation provides for the inspection and adjustment of the valve clearance every 90 thousand kilometers or 6 years of operation. It is also necessary to replace the coolant at 210 thousand kilometers or after 10 years of operation. Further, the coolant must be replaced every 30 thousand kilometers or every 2 years.

    Heavy duty

    As mentioned earlier, in extreme operating conditions, it is recommended to halve the service interval. Severe operating conditions will be considered if:

    • the air surrounding the car is dusty;
    • driving on a bumpy road;
    • driving in extremely low or high temperatures;
    • long idle operation or short-term operation at low temperatures;
    • frequent braking and acceleration;
    • towing;
    • use of a car for business purposes;
    • long driving (50% of the time) at speeds over 120 kilometers per hour;
    • use of the car by special services.

    Note to the owner

    Despite the fact that the service thoroughly inspects the car during maintenance, this does not give a 100% guarantee of its long operation. In addition to the service, the owner must keep track of some parameters of his "iron horse". These include:

    • level and condition of technical fluids, engine and transmission oils;
    • tire pressure and tightening;
    • wear of drive belts;
    • control of the presence of leaks of liquids;
    • other checks according to the instruction manual.

    It is the joint control of the owner and the service center that will allow the car to work flawlessly for a long period of time.

    We offer you to get acquainted with the material on the cost of CASCO on Hyundai Solaris.

    Maintenance in compliance with the work schedule established by the car manufacturer is a guarantee of long-term trouble-free service of your car. Many of us completely entrust this work to a car service. But a trip to a service station is always a cost of both time and money. Meanwhile, many car maintenance operations are simple technical and do not require great physical strength.

    You don't need to be a car mechanic to do most of the routine maintenance work. You will be amazed at how much time you will save if you do these jobs yourself. But you will be even more amazed by the fact that the cost of some simple service operations can significantly exceed the cost of replacement parts.

    So, for Hyundai Solaris, the manufacturer has adopted a maintenance frequency that is a multiple of 15 thousand kilometers. At the same time, the cost of the set of works prescribed by the regulations for replacing consumables and checking systems, components and assemblies of a car with a mileage of 60 thousand km, depending on the ambitions of a car service, starts from 5000 rubles... And this is without taking into account the cost of the consumables themselves.

    In addition, many service stations often strongly “recommend”, or even openly impose work either not provided for by the regulations at all, or provided for carrying out at other vehicle runs. For example, for Hyundai Solaris, service stations often impose replacement of spark plugs every 30 thousand kilometers, while the manufacturer prescribes this operation to be carried out every 60 thousand kilometers. Therefore, we suggest that you save your time and money, and for this we will understand the Hyundai Solaris maintenance regulations and estimate the labor intensity of the work prescribed by the regulations.

    If the car is operated in dusty conditions, low ambient temperatures, used for transporting a trailer, frequent trips at low speed or short distances, then the engine oil and oil filter should be changed after 7.5 thousand kilometers or after 6 months of operation. , whichever comes first.

    When operating the vehicle in dusty conditions, the replacement air filter element must be replaced more often.

    When the vehicle has traveled more than 120 thousand km, the maintenance procedures should be carried out at the frequency indicated in the table.
