The springs of the front suspension are cylindrical with a reduced diameter of the upper coil, the springs of the rear suspension are made with a variable pitch and winding diameter, which ensures a progressive characteristic of stiffness. The designers gave the suspension a soft ride on relatively flat roads and an impenetrable stiffness on large bumps.
The steering gear is available with or without an amplifier. The power-assisted version has a lower gear ratio, so it reacts more sharply to steering behavior. The amplifier itself, depending on the speed of movement, operates with a variable gain. At high speed, it practically turns off, and when parking and at low speeds, it makes it as easy as possible to turn the steering wheel. The advantage of the steering gear is its layout. The steering rods are attached to the pivot arms of the telescopic struts not at the bottom, like most front-wheel drive foreign cars, but at the top. This design avoids deformation of the steering rods in contact with curbs and road defects. A driver of any size will feel comfortable in the car. The luggage compartment has a volume of 322 liters, and the rear seats of the car are folded in a 60:40 ratio, thereby increasing the luggage compartment to 958 liters.
ZAZ Sens (Sens) Sens, which is an analogue of the Russian Chance for the domestic market of Ukraine, appeared two years earlier (in 2007). The car is a descendant of ZAZ Daewoo Lanos. Considering heredity, the Ukrainian bestseller has adopted all the best qualities from its ancestor. So, the undercarriage with front struts of the McPherson type, despite its simplicity, is quite reliable and at the same time moderately rigid. The car has no swaying or yawing when driving. There are no complaints about the rear suspension either, since the design in the form of a twisting beam has proved itself exclusively on the positive side over the years. There is no reason to worry about operating a car in the winter, when tons of reagents are poured onto the roads, which negatively affect the condition of the body, since it is all (including the roof) covered with a zinc-nickel composition.
Sens, like its Russian counterpart, is available in two versions - a sedan and a hatchback. Inside the cabin, peace and quiet reigns thanks to excellent sound insulation, all panels are installed with high quality, the gaps are uniform. During movement, nothing creaks, the chairs are comfortable and comfortable, there are enough adjustments for a person of any height and build to be able to find the position he needs. The luggage compartment has enough volume to go on a short trip. However, if this volume is not enough, it will be possible to fold the rear seats and get another 600 liters of additional space (sedan).
The following gasoline engines can be installed on the car: 1.3-, 1.4- and 1.5-liter inline fours with distributed fuel injection. The engines are aggregated with a 5-speed gearbox, made according to a certain scheme - with the lifting of the retaining ring when the reverse speed is turned on.
Moderately short lever movements, soft shifting of gears and slightly delayed triggering of the synchronizers are conducive to a measured, unhurried driving style. Ease of operation and repair, quality, reliability, as well as the availability of spare parts make the car not only attractive, but also raise it to a slightly different, higher rank than its classmates in this price range.

INTRODUCTION
The compact car Daewoo Lanos with a transverse engine and front-wheel drive, first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 1997, represented the South Korean automaker in a very serious European size class C. Good performance and driving characteristics, comfort and stylish appearance combined with a more than reasonable price made this car very popular with buyers. As often happens in such cases, the model became widespread and began to be produced under different brands and names in different countries: in Korea, Vietnam, Poland (Daewoo-FSO plant), Ukraine (AvtoZAZ - Daewoo) and Russia (Doninvest ").
The development of the concept of the Lanos model was the Sens car that appeared in 2007, produced for the domestic market of Ukraine at the Zaporozhye Automobile Plant. Like Lanos, the model is available in hatchback and sedan bodies. Since 2009, the model has been exported to Russia, where it is sold under the name ZAZ Chance.
The exterior of the car practically does not differ from the Lanos prototype - a pleasant exterior and a good quality of fit. The only differences are in the radiator grille, rear design and some trim elements.
The interior differs slightly from Lanos. Inside the cabin, peace and quiet reigns thanks to excellent sound insulation. All panels are installed with high quality, the gaps are uniform. During movement, nothing creaks, the chairs are comfortable and comfortable, there are enough adjustments for a person of any height and build to be able to find the position he needs.
The volume of the luggage compartment with a completely flat floor is enough to go on a short trip. However, if this volume becomes too small, the rear seat backrests can be folded down and thereby gain almost 640 liters of additional space.
In addition to the regular passenger cars, the model is offered as a van for commercial transport. The production technology of the "heel" is quite common: a platform with the front part of the body (along the middle pillars) is taken from a passenger car, instead of the rear doors between the pillars and the rear arches, a power frame made of rectangular pipes is welded into the gaps. All this is covered with a fiberglass hood, in front of the roof, and from the sides, dropping to the level of the thresholds. In the stern, there are two doors of unequal width, which swing open at an angle of up to 180 °. The volume of the vehicle's cargo compartment is 2.8 m3, and the carrying capacity is 550 kg. The large doorway and low loading height greatly facilitate loading and unloading operations.
Gasoline engines are installed on the car: 1.3-, 1.4- and 1.5-liter inline fours with distributed fuel injection with a capacity of 70, 77 and 86 horsepower, respectively. The 1.3-liter MeM3-307.C engine produced in Melitopol is the main difference between Sens and Lanos. In terms of the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases, this unit complies with the EURO III environmental standard.
All engines are aggregated by a five-speed manual transmission originally designed for Tavria. Accurate gear changes are satisfactory, and the transmission can accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in about 15 seconds. Chevrolet Lanos is a modern front-wheel drive car of class C. It quite acceptably combines parameters worthy of its class, convenience and stylish exterior with a competitive price.
The model was first announced at the 1997 Geneva Motor Show. The car was designed by a number of renowned engineering companies. Those. not only Daewoo Motors was involved in its development. The famous Italian bodywork studio Ital Design was engaged in the design.
In the line of power units, three engine models are provided, with a volume of 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 liters and a capacity from 75 to 106 liters. with. The motors are designed by Opel and are produced at one of the factories of this company (in Australia). All motors from the line provide the car with good acceleration dynamics. All engines, except 1.6, are 8-valve. The chassis is also designed by Opel and provides the car with good stability on the road and good smoothness. High quality soundproofing.

Car assembly in South Korea was phased out in 2004. Recently, the Lanos plant in Poland was redesigned and production of Lanos was discontinued. Now Lanos is assembled only in Vietnam and Ukraine, by the Zaporozhye Automobile Building Plant (UkrAvto). Only Ukrainian cars are supplied to the CIS market. For the Ukrainian market, they are equipped with engines 1.5 l 8V (86 hp), 1.6 l 16V (106 hp). In Vietnam, the base model is Lanos with a 1.4l 8V (75hp) engine. The gearbox on all models is a 5-speed manual. Recently, cars under the Sens brand (Lanos with a modified engine from Tavria) began to be produced under the name Lanos 1.4.
Cars assembled in Ukraine are supplied for sale in three basic trim levels: S, SE and SX. The most expensive equipment includes power steering, airbag (driver's only), air conditioning, ABS on all wheels, central locking drive, acoustics (of low quality) and power windows.
Lanos was produced with a 1.3 liter engine (MeMZ 301 or 307) of the Melitopol Motor Plant. It is presented on the market under its own trademark - Sens.
The Ukrainian plant ZAZ produces cars of the T100 (4-door sedan) and T150 (5-door hatchback) models. Since the spring of 2007, the production of Lanos 1.4 has been mastered. This model is equipped with an upgraded engine from the Tavria ZAZ 1102 car with an imported gearbox, interconnected through a special plate.
The need to install an imported checkpoint, instead of the "native" Tavricheskaya, is due to quite numerous complaints and complaints about the Melitopol box.
