Transport companies organize the delivery of various goods from the sender to the recipient. But not everyone knows that they can be used to send even small-sized parcels.
Large transport companies have their terminals in many Russian cities. Therefore, before sending the goods, you must first find out whether there is a branch of the company at the point of departure and in the place where the parcel is sent. Many companies offer delivery not to the terminal, but to the recipient's address, but this costs more.
Sending parcels by Business Lines
One of the most famous companies in the cargo transportation market is Business Lines LLC. It has existed since 2001, has an extensive vehicle fleet and more than a hundred branches in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan. In addition to large shipments, the company also delivers small-sized cargo and documents with the following parameters:
- weight – up to 5 kg;
- size in one of three dimensions – up to 0.4 m;
- the sum of three dimensions is not more than 1.1 m.
Transportation is possible between all cities in which the company has branches. The cost of sending a parcel by a transport company includes delivery from the sender's address to the recipient's address (this is only possible within the city). A person can deliver the parcel to the terminal independently, but the price of the service will not change.
To send cargo, you need to fill out an order form on the website or at a company branch. Then a receiving invoice is issued, which is the main forwarding document. If the sender or addressee is an individual, then not only the first name, last name and patronymic, but also passport data are indicated. The invoice number must be provided to the recipient, and you can also use it to track the parcel on the Business Lines website.
When the value of the cargo is declared, it will be necessarily insured, but you can refuse cargo insurance at your own risk.
The cost of transportation is calculated after determining the parameters of the parcel at the terminal. Payment can be made in cash or by bank transfer.
Business lines provide the possibility of air transportation of goods, as well as delivery by several modes of transport. For transportation on non-standard routes, individual logistics schemes are developed.
Please note that sending a parcel by the transport company Business Lines is possible if its contents are accepted for transportation. Some goods are prohibited for transportation, for example: perishable foods, live plants, animals, cash, alcohol, hazardous chemicals, weapons, and so on. For air travel there is an additional list of restrictions.
Thus, using the example of Delovye Linii LLC, the basic principles of delivery of small-sized cargo by transport companies are shown.

In addition to Russia, transportation is carried out to such countries as:

- online calculator for preliminary calculation of the cost of the upcoming shipment;
- cargo packaging (only at the reception terminals of the Business Lines Group of Companies);
- cargo insurance (not older than 5 years, the service is provided by Renaissance Insurance Group);
- responsible storage of items (not available in all cities, the full range of services is provided from acceptance and storage to issue, pre-sale preparation, control of expiration dates, etc.) and non-item storage (including for short periods);
- cross-docking (loading and unloading vehicles without long-term storage, cargo consolidation, distribution to several vehicles, etc.).
Directly transport services include:
- transportation of consolidated cargo by motor transport (both within Russia and abroad);
- transportation of goods by individual transport (international, intercity routes, transportation within one city, there is a service with an hourly rate);
- air and container transportation;
- delivery to hypermarkets (as one of the ready-made industry solutions).
When ordering cargo transportation between major cities, you can use the “express delivery” service. In this case, the shipment will be on site the next day or every other day (depending on the selected localities).
Large regular customers are offered the opportunity to integrate with enterprise information systems (based on the 1C platform and our own SDK), the ability to create individual logistics schemes and priority service.
Documents for sending cargo
Legal entity (LLC)
A power of attorney certified by the sole executive body (or another person with a power of attorney for the right of substitution) and a seal. If the cargo is sent by the head of the company, he should be presented with the original or a certified copy of the minutes of the meeting/decision on his election as the sole executive body of the legal entity.
A document for the cargo containing its name, nature, properties (for example, waybill, invoice for internal movement, universal transfer document, invoice, shipping specification, certificate, certificate, etc.) in the original or a copy. It is not necessary to certify the copy.
Individual entrepreneur
- Certificate of registration with the tax authority in the original or a notarized copy. When sending cargo by a representative of an individual entrepreneur, a power of attorney is required. The power of attorney is certified by the individual entrepreneur and a seal, and if the individual entrepreneur works without a seal, it is certified by a notary.
- Identity document specified in the power of attorney.
- A document for the cargo containing its name, nature, properties (for example, waybill, invoice for internal movement, universal transfer document, invoice, shipping specification, certificate, certificate, etc.) in the original or a copy. It is not necessary to certify the copy. If the specified documents are missing, you must fill out a shipment inventory.
Individual
- Identification document (for example, passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, international passport, driver's license).
- Description of shipment. Forms are available at the terminal and from company drivers. If there is a document for the cargo containing its name, nature, properties, then you can transfer this document instead of an inventory.
- If the cargo is sent by a representative of an individual, then, in addition to the above documents, a notarized power of attorney is required.

Entity
To receive the cargo, a representative of a legal entity must present an identification document and, optionally:
- notarized power of attorney;
- power of attorney with the seal of the organization, drawn up according to the sample;
- the original or a copy certified by a notary or individual sole executive officer of the document on appointment to the position of the sole executive body of a legal entity, if the cargo is received by a director, general director, etc. Such documents are: minutes of the general meeting of participants - shareholders, board of directors - or the decision of the sole participant/founder;
- organization seal (only when delivering cargo to the recipient’s address);
- stamp of the organization indicating the organizational and legal form, company name and location (only when delivering cargo to the recipient’s address).
Individual entrepreneur
To receive the cargo in person, an individual entrepreneur must present an identification document and, optionally, a seal (if the individual entrepreneur works with a seal and only when delivering the cargo to the recipient’s address) or a tax registration certificate.
To receive the cargo, a representative of an individual entrepreneur must present an identification document and, optionally:
- notarized power of attorney;
- power of attorney in simple written form, certified by the seal of the individual entrepreneur.
- IP stamp (only when delivering cargo to the recipient’s address).
Individual
To receive the cargo, an individual must present an identification document, the details of which were indicated by the shipper upon dispatch. The representative of the individual must present an identification document and a notarized power of attorney.
